After you waste your time answering all their questions, you give them your email and they ask you to pay $15 for the results. Just using half-truths to avoid lawsuits but I'm sure everyone hates them.
The majority of the so-called IQ testing websites do this: they lure you into taking the test by telling you that it is free and you will have a good idea of your IQ, then hide or provide a limited result and ask you to pay at the end of the test after you feel exhausted and unable to make a proper decision. Most of those who can afford it will just pay for it, but most people aren't aware that they can access their score without paying and will just pay for it or feel frustrated and dismiss the website. All is done, so you cannot accuse them of being deceitful, but they are not honest either.
Also, scores tend to be higher than they really are. So, those who receive a much higher score than they anticipated are more likely to share it and obviously pay for the certificate and thorough report. This is because people usually like to brag about how intelligent they are.
IQTest.com does not inflate IQ scores. We hear from people surprised by both high and low IQ scores.

This testing organization seems to be a SCAM. Only after you take the test do they tell you there is a charge. This site has received the same complaints for over a year; I guess they are trying to make sure they are able to provide for their children and are trying to set a good example for others. It's sad they feel that its ok.

I took the test and I scored more than 145 in all the cathegories except computational speed where I scored 66.
Honestly an average of 147 (without computational speed) is really too much, It's clear that the result is studied to be high so people are satisfied. ( i scored 140 with the 66, and it's super high as well).
Btw 66 in computational speed means that I'm completely $#*!ed with numbers, I'm a master student in mathematics: i'm not so fast with computations but i'm pretty sure im better than the average.
To conclude: it's a random test, dont take it.
Your Computational Speed Score does not mean that you are bad with numbers. It means that you are slow. The Computational Speed Score is a measure of how long it took you to complete the test. That is all.
They are targetting keywords like "Free IQ test Oline". And when a user goes on their site, the never mention anything until a user spends 40 minutes or so in completing the questions. At the end, instead of showing the results, they lead to straight to the checkout area! LoL such as bull$#*!t way to trape users! I wish there was a 0 star!

MANNN I done did this whole test when I shouldve been doing my assessments and they gone tell me to pay AFTER I did almost 40 dumb $#*! questions. Asking me bout a house like a donut, what? I really did math in my head and with my fingers to not know if im dumb or not. Really tried to be smart for once. Give me my time back tf

Appears to be a scam website and test. The questions are fun, but results are not given unless you provide payment information.
Plenty of free ones out there, i would know with my high $#*! IQ :)

They did send you the result of your IQ Test via email (even though sometimes it may end up in spam) but this still doesn't make me change my rating that much because the user experience I had on their website is very misleading. When I took the IQ test, there was no mention of payment and after I finished the test (which can take minutes) then the site told me to pay to get my results without any indication that they will be sending the final IQ score via email. I don't think any one would think they would be getting an email with the results just by reading the message after completing the test. The site should clearly indicate the final IQ score will be sent by email and if you need the detailed report then you should pay for it. I still think there is intentional misleading behavior on that site to try and get people to purchase their product.
Simply put this is a scam. First of they won't tell you they are going to charge you money to view your IQ results before you start taking the test. They will let you spend your time on the test and finally they will inform you you have to pay before viewing the results of your IQ test. This is a scam. The website should clearly indicate before the start of the test that it is a paid service and you will need to pay to view your results. What is worse is that, they even collect your name and email address before they demand you pay for the results of your IQ test.
I mean, I thought the test was pretty conclusive. Made me FEEL smart with an iq of 135, although I'm not sure how accurate that was. Reading a specific previous post led me to believe it was reliable, but who knows?
No, you don't have to pay the $ for the results, they sent it directly to my email. When the "Pay $ for extensive results" popped up, I just looked online to see if there was a way around it. Turns out, they send your score anyway, & that was just to delve a little deeper on your results, aka squeeze a penny or two out of you.
It's good. Take the test!
The Google ad I clicked on says "free test", and while this is technically correct, the results are $15 and you are not told until you take the full 10-15 minute test. Waste of my time. Site itself needs some work for mobile.

The people that gave this site one star must have terribly low IQs. Sorry for telling the truth. The site does give you your score by email. Not to sure how accurate it is because my score was so high. I'm a freaking genius. So it says...
This site allows you to test your IQ. It's something you can do for fun. Their IQ test is pretty quick to do. People going to IQ sites should beware of spam or stupid runaround sites that never show your score unless you buy something or click through some spam edu offers. So far, this site seems ok on that front.
In order to see your score, you will have to enter your email address, and they will mail you your score. I didn't opt for the detailed report for $10.
This part of their FAQ cracked me up:
"The mean score is currently 108.447 (Confounding variable: The lowest IQ holders will not be capable of using the internet to measure their own intelligence.)"
Wow, so many people claiming this site doesn't give you your results for free.
It's hilariously sad. But, at least they'll all be safe in the event of a "zombie apocalypse". Lol!
After you complete the test, you have to provide the site with an email address for it to send you your results. After you enter your email, check your email. If you still can't find your results, check your spam/junk folder.
As for the accuracy of this test, I think the site's meant more for entertainment purposes and not actually a reliable source for such information.
I scored 135. I'll admit I'm happy with my result but, I doubt I'm really that smart.
Though, it's nice to think I might be. Lol.
The only problem I have with this site is that it had way too few questions. Easy questions for that matter. So, I don't believe it could accurately estimate your IQ.
Honestly, when I was taking this exam, I felt that it was extremely tedious and difficult. However, I thought it gave me an ample challenge when it came to testing my cranial abilities. I ended up getting a disappointing score of 142, which is just shy of my normal genius level, but it'll have to do. Overall, I think everybody should try this site.
Well I didn't pay to see the details for my score cause I thought I was unfair, but recently they emailed me and told me that there's a half price ($5) promotion to get my detailed results, so I did pay them. However, I am worried about the reliability and validity of the test? Does anyone know if I can safely trust their analysis and results?
Contrary to what most people have said, this test DOES give you a general estimate of your IQ, and only charges you 15$ for the in-depth analysis of your results. I cannot guarantee the validity of the test, but it was an entertaining way to spend 13 minutes. On every other IQ test I've taken, I've scored between 115 and 132, so receiving a 127 didn't seem that far off. The questions presented are definitely different than the questions on verified aptitude tests (like the mensa practice test), but they were enjoyable.
My results were promptly emailed to me, and the number of questions was enough to show that it would be relatively accurate. Just one small problem: it said my iq was 147. I am relatively smart for my age, but I am not quite sure if that is completely accurate. Whether or not it was accurate, it made me feel pretty good about myself. (I think it may have been rigged to be like that.) Other than that, great quiz!
We do not inflate scores. Your score of 147 may have been surprising to you, but we hear from people who are surprised by high and low scores. You might be interested in the Mensa IQ Challenge, a test offered just for fun. Mensa also offers a Practice Test for $9.95 that will give you an idea of how you would do on their Admission exam.
Let's just say that after performing a few statistical analyses, I can confirm that this test seems to measure something approximating general intelligence. The average could be considered to be around 114 with standard deviations of 17 points. Given the self-selecting nature of IQ testing sites, meaning that smart people will be drawn to IQ tests, the average of 114 as opposed to 100 isn't too far-fetched. I scored 151 on this test and 47/50 on the Wonderlic Contemporary Cognitive Ability Test (formerly known as the Wonderlic Personnel Test or Wonderlic). Just remember, everyone getting so upset that they comment their hate here is doing so as a result of their own subconscious feelings of inadequacy. Stop hating yourselves and it will be easier to stop hating on the providers of this website and its surprisingly effective services.
Congratulations, Julien! All those individual scores of 152 indicate that you answered all the questions correctly. The only thing keeping you from the highest possible score of 156 is the time.
Seemed like reasonable questions, good test... As mentioned in other reviews, cannot take the place of a proper psychoeducational test. Results emailed immediately for no cost. Additional charge is only for in-depth breakdown of scores. Fun and free on a lark!
The individuals who wrote that they had been scammed should have first checked their e mails. Test results are sent, and there is no fee. They probably realized they were mistaken, but were too lazy to go back and fix their negative reviews, thus affecting the overall rating. I imagine these individuals were not happy with their IQ scores.
Answer: If you look at the chart explaining scores in the FAQ at IQTest.com (How well did I do? What does my score mean?) you'll see how the scores are distributed and how your score compares with scores of others. IQ tests are designed so that the average score will be 100. The highest score you can achieve on our test is 156. A score of 99 would be almost exactly average. Our test was designed for native English speakers. If you do not speak English very well, your score will be lower than it would be if you took a test in your native language. If you are under the age of 16, you'll get a more valid score on a test designed for children your age. Age is not factored into the scoring of our test, but it is an important factor in tests for those under 16. Adult IQ scores usually remain constant over a lifetime. Common sense would tell us that if a child scores well on an adult test, then his IQ score would probably be even higher on a test designed for children his age. But we have done the research only on adults, so we can't say for sure that our test produces valid scores for those under 16.
Answer: The team of psychologists who created the test at IQTest.com were given the task of developing a valid, reliable, and fun test that could be taken online. This was a new thing in 1994 when the test first went online. Not just any test can be taken online. Most of the tests found online today do not give valid IQ scores. The most recent versions of the Stanford-Binet and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale have the same standard deviation as our test, i. E., 15, and will produce scores that can be compared to the scores received on our test. We offer the test as entertainment because we cannot control the test environment, but many people who know their scores from either the Stanford-Binet or the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale tell us that they scored within a few points of their previous scores when they took our test.

Answer: Hi Lynette, Call the number on the back of your credit card and tell them that you were charged without your permission. They can cancel the charge.
Answer: Maria-- I think you have taken a test at a different website, IQTESTNOW.ORG. You are lucky that this site did not accept your credit card. Your description of your experience in the review you wrote leads me to believe that you were almost a victim of their scam, which involves making additional charges of $39 or more to your card after the initial small charge of $1.95. Please review IQtestnow.org instead of IQTest.com.
Answer: Hi Marvie, The charge of $69 is not from IQTest.com. We do not ever employ collection agencies. I think you should check out IQTESTNOW.ORG, as they are well known for their fraudulent charges. If you would like to discuss this further, you can reach me at contact@iqtest.com. A charge from IQTest.com would show on your credit card or PayPal statement as a charge from Autumn Group/IQTest.com.
Answer: The BMI test is not affiliated in any way with IQTest.com. If you have questions about the test at BMI, you should direct your questions to the BMI website.
Answer: The free general IQ is emailed to the address you enter on the registration page following the test. We offer a Complete Personal Intelligence Profile for $14.95, but it is not required to get your score. If you send me an email at support@iqtest.com and let me know that you didn't get your score, I'll send It out to you again.
Answer: There is no charge for the general IQ score. That is available in your account at IQTest.com, and was also emailed to the address you entered on the registration page following the test. We offer a detailed analysis of your score for $14.95, but it is not required to see the free general IQ score.
IQTest.com has a rating of 2 stars from 115 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with IQTest.com most frequently mention and credit card. IQTest.com ranks 4060th among Education sites.
