This website is just terrible. I ordered a figma figure from them last October and didn't hear from them until late February. "it takes 4-6 weeks" I hear you cry. But that was not the problem. I was expecting a generic "you weren't home, so it's in your local post office" message. This is where $#*! hit the fan. They said they could not find my home address and is currently sitting in some warehouse in California until I fix my address. Well, after looking at my info and double checking, the address was/is fine and should be located (fed ex and ups find me just fine). I send them a reply stating the address is correct and the order should be sent. I did not receive a reply shortly and thought that they were on top of things. HUGE MISTAKE, instead what follows is the bane of my existence. Every single month now I receive an automated message stating I never replied to them and should contact them immediately. Yet it always states the same amount of time. So they're receiving my messages, ignore them and send me another message doing the same song and dance. I will never recommend this place to my friends and I hope no one shops there again so they don't get ripped off as bad as I did.
I don't understand why I am trolled/attacked by 4chan when ever I post there. When I question it, I cannot get a reasonable answer, just more hate attacks. I have tried twice, read rules and stickies, but it seems none of these apply to mods or the bigots that control this site. I have collected PDF conversions of the threads as evidence before they were manually deleted by mods so that my browser could no longer access them. Why me? I have been told that if I am not neo-Nazi supremacy I cannot use 4chan. This attitude is reflected across all 4chan, no matter what board you post on. /pol/ is recruiting terrorists and promoting religious/cultural hate through its memes, and false claim that it owns copywriter/trade mark on memes. It is deliberately radicalising young people into spreading these cultural and religious messages of hate. My recent experience there has been so horrible, that I want to report this site to counter-terrorist organisations. I can't believe that in this day and age something like 4chan is allowed to exist.
I have been a subscriber to the jlist newsletter for years, and was a customer before, so when I was planning my family's vacation to Japan and I saw that jlist fulfilled Ghibli Museum tickets, I didn't hesitate to order with them. First, I ordered the tickets and paid $80 for four. The next day I got an email asking for a time of entry. I provided it the same day. Two days later I got a reply saying those times were unavailable. I replied with new times and said "please do not mail the tickets to USA at this point" as they would not arrive in time for the trip. I heard nothing for three days. Finally I emailed asking for an update. Nothing for two more days. A week after I placed my order I got a reply saying the tickets had already been mailed. They arrived too late and I spent $80 for nothing. When I arrived home I saw the post date on the envelope and it was three days AFTER I sent the email instructing them not to mail the tickets to the US -- the same day they sent me the email saying they had "already been mailed". This is fraud. I am extremely disappointed in jlist and am looking into how they can be reported to a business authority in Japan.
My oder from J-list was shipped, but Tokyo post returned it to sender. Now they say they have to wait till my order has returnes to their warehouse before they can shipp it again.
My question: HOW LONG does it take for one LITTLE pakacge to move - Inside Japan - from a place to another place -inside Japan.? It's been a MONTH.
I'm getting fed up. Next I'll ask to refund my money since they don't seem to care of my order, and if that is no no for them, I'll raise a disput via PayPal.
I DO NOT recommend this $#*!ty cheating service to anyone!
TLDR: Ordered snacks and a figurine with 1 month leeway. Shipment made with Japan Post (with tracking), arrived in 16 days. Went through customs, nothing tampered with, decent packaging. Overpriced items that can be found cheaper elsewhere.
This was my first time buying from Jlist, as I had seen many adverts previously for the site, and wanted to try them out.
I ordered 5 types of snacks and a little figurine for my sisters birthday, from reading other reviews I expected shipment to take at least a months time to arrive. SO I completed my order 1 month before I would need them to arrive (for her birthday).
For my shipment I chose the cheapest shipment available that had tracking ($7.54/£4.99). I was very impressed with the speed at which the package arrived (16 days). This is about the same speed at which packages shipped from Amazon.com take to arrive (to the UK).
There where no problems with the package, was decent, nothing exceptional. Had some small inflated bubble wrapping to keep things from breaking. Package had been opened when it went through customs, but nothing seemed tampered with or in ill condition.
The overall pricing of items seemed somewhat over the top, as I know I can find some of the items 20% cheaper on Ebay (mostly figurines). If it wasn't for the high pricing of some products I would probably give a 5 star review.
I ordered a "popin' cookin" and they said it would take from 4 days to 4 weeks. I was okay with that since its coming from Japan. But, what I didn't get was why the shipping was so high. The "popin' cookin" cost 5.80$ and the shipping cost 5.00$ at first I was thinking "they must be crazy" then I started thinking because of where it's coming from this might be the reason. So I ordered it. For some reason I waited 2 weeks to actually check out this website to see if it was what it seemed. Uh, when I say I wished I'd looked it up before buying from them I mean it. I've seen a ton of people complaining about how horrible their customer service is and how they lie about what they have instock, and the shipping fees. When I seen the part about shipping fees I felt like slapping myself because I knew. It just doesn't make sense to make someone pay for something that only cost 5.80$ then the shipping be 5.00$ too. Then I went on another site which sold the same thing and the shipping fees were COMPLETELY different. I'm annoyed, I actually thought this was a site I could order from regulary. From the look of the site and the products they sell, they seem legit. I guess the old say "things aren't always what they seem" fits perfect for this site.
I ordered a magazine subscription for Animedia Magazine on October 13th 2013 for $12 and I paid $16 extra for EMS Express Shipping (3-5 days). Total is $28. I get the confirmation email with my invoice details, etc. It's now November 7th and I don't have my magazine, tracking information, or any confirmation that it's been shipped or processed. I go on the website and check to see what's going on and there is absolutely NO information whatsoever about my order.
I've contacted J-List representatives by email (because there is no customer service number.) several (and I mean SEVERAL) times, but they keep telling me that my subscription starts in November. Uhh yeah okay.
So this guy named Nicholas emails me after I demand that my November issue of Animedia be shipped and that I be given tracking information (There is one in stock on the website. Or so it says). He tells me that he can get me the October issue and I clearly told him that I wanted the November one. I'd be fine with the October issue, but now that it's November I want to keep up with the new anime. Anyways, he emails back and told me that my card was declined. Why was he trying to charge me? I already paid $28 on the 13th of October. Does this money just get wasted? Basically they wanted me to pay $28 for nothing, and then another $28 for the actual magazine to be shipped. My next billing cycle is November 13th and I will NOT be renewing my subscription if this is how they work (which seems that it is based on other customer reviews).
J-List "You've got an enemy in Japan" is more like it.
Currently in a dispute with jlist about some preorders. I placed two orders with them the first containing three item and two in the second order. I received the first order four weeks ago but it was missing one of my items, and I wasn't notified and even further the order claims to be complete. When I opened a ticket to ask about my missing item they said the item would be shipped when it was restocked. Okay I thought, I can wait a few weeks, which I did. I emailed them again a week ago to ask when I would receive my missing item and they said they wouldn't restock until July! I still haven't heard back from my demand for a refund. In addition my second order apparently was not charged when I made the purchase three months ago and they're trying to charge the card now, which is expired. They still haven't even responded to that ticket either, which you would think they'd be on top of so that they could get their money. Definitely not completing that transaction now. I know that jlist has a lot of cool stuff, but if you can get it somewhere else then do it.
I've purchased from J-List a few times. I'm completely happy with their service. It came on time, and was exactly what I had ordered.
