They advertised 9 balls of yarn for $9.00, so I ordered 4 sets of 9 balls each. They sent 4 balls total. I've had to call multiple times and send 2 emails to get a response. They said the order is correct. I've requested they send me a pre-paid return label, but they have not responded. I have another order from them somewhere out there that was placed before this one. I'm tempted to cancel it if they don't send me a pre-paid label for the first order. I am not impressed with them and do not plan to order from them again - unless they make this right for me.

I bought 12 skeins of Naptime yarn from Lion Brand website. I got the yarn promptly enough. It is a chenille type yarn. It's soft as a cloud. Problem is that you have to spend more time untangling the mess of knots than you do crocheting. And it doesn't matter if you do an outside pull or an center pull, it's just a tangled mess.

I ORDER HUNDREDS OF YARN EACH MONTH FROM LIONS BRAND COMPANY. THIS LAST SHIPMENT WAS RECEIVED VERY DAMAGED. LIONS BRAND DID NOTHING TO REIMBURSE ME. THEY TOLD ME TO FILE A CLAIM WITH UPS. UPS TOLD ME I HAVE NO RIGHTS AS I AM THE RECIPIENT, NOT THE SHIPPER. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DID NOTHING AND IT WAS OVER $400 SHIPMENT. THEY MAY HAVE GOOD SALES BUT IF YOUR ORDER IS DAMAGED, YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE YARN AT FULL COST PLUS MY SHIPPING COST ALONE IS ALMOST $50! HORRIBLE COMPANY! I NO LONGER WILL BE ORDERING FROM THAT BUSINESS AND I SUGGEST YOU DON'T EITHER.

I wrote a review commenting negatively on one of their yarns and it was not published. See attached photos documenting terrible quality. This is an in credibly dishonest business practice. Rather than filtering negative reviews of your products, Lion Brand, why not address the quality concerns with the yarn? I will not purchase from Lion Brand again, nor will I take one of their classes, unless this dishonest business practice is addressed.
The quality issues I expressed concerns with were splitting and fraying of the yarn fibers. Now I am left with a knitting project that has obvious flaws due to the poor quality of the yarn.
Additionally, while the problem was remedied with a phone call, when my husband was sold a gift certificate to take a class at Lion Brand, the sales associate didn't write a gc # on the physical certificate he gave to me. This resulted in a bit of a hassle when I tried to register for the class using the gift certificate. The actual class was fantastic and very professionally run, but that was probably mostly due to the awesome instructor, not Lion Brand. I found the person at the desk when I checked in for my class to have a "less-than-warm" manner, a bit "too cool for school." JMO.

After I submitted an order on lionbrand.com, I realized while reviewing the order that I had ordered four of one color of a yarn and none of another color, when I had wanted two of each color. I tried to call, but it was 20 minutes after what their answering machine says is their 4:00 (what?) closing time. A previous email about something else that I received from them said that their hours are 9:00 to 5:00 EST (which should just be ET, since time changes from EST to EDT, which it currently was). So I emailed them about the issue. That was five days ago and I haven't heard a word, though I've added to and re-sent the email twice.

I tried to call at 8:00 the next morning, which their recording says begins office hours; they let me hold for 6:30, then basically told me I couldn't hold any longer. I immediately called back and got the same result after a 5:24 wait.

Their order confirmation email, which arrived the day after my order, said, "If you have any feedback, questions, or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team at: *******@lionbrand.com." So they're encouraging me to contact them, but responding to nothing.

Finally today (five days after submitting my order), I received an email saying that my order had shipped, and it showed the items that were in my original order. I won't know until I receive the order in two days whether they did what I asked.

Not getting any response from a seller after days, and not being able to reach anyone by phone, is a good way to lose customers. I won't shop on their website again.

I placed an order on Dec. 6th. On Dec 18th I had yet to receive a shipping confirmation or my package. I sent an e-mail to customer service asking if I could have an update on my package since I needed it for Christmas for my sister. After 3 days I never received a response so I called. The woman on the phone was horribly rude. She continuously interrupted me while repeating their shipping policy. She refused to give me a refund while still receiving the product. She said the only thing she could do was cancel and refund my order. I asked for a manager and she said there are only two of us and no one else is here.

UPDATE: I bought two more kits from this company in anticipation of a CAL, crochet along starting this week. Based on my previous experience I expected the kit to take a month. It's been two weeks and I have yet to receive any shipping information or any other kind of communication surrounding my orders. Contacted customer service 5 days ago and still haven't gotten a response. I called their customer service number and never got through. I'm fine with waiting for the kit but this company could at least inform their customers as to the status of their order since they already took my money.

Basically, do not buy directly from Lion Brand! If you want to get their yarn, go to Joanne's or Michaels. I'll be trying to switch to other suppliers.

The Ferris Wheel yarn is terrible to work with.It does not unravel easily and breaks. I don't know what to do with it. I will not use it in the future. Colors are great, but not the quality

I understand yarn breaks when it is rolled. But with the pound of love yarn it wasn't even tied together and within the roll I so far have twelve breaks it's not worth the price to buy this yarn.

I ordered about $70 worth of yarn through a kit link online. It was easy to place my order and I didn't have any problems until I realized that my order hadn't moved at all since it was "shipped". I say "shipped" because the USPS tracking information I have stated that my order hasn't left Carlstadt, the city with the Lion Brand distribution center, for over two weeks. I tried contacting Lion Brand support, both by email and by phone, and I wasn't able to reach anyone, even when leaving a method for them to contact me back both ways. The worst thing about this is that their website doesn't tell you what tier shipping gets you which courier service. I paid for the mid-tier shipping, expecting at least a partially reliable service, and then found out that I got the USPS. If I would have been able to see that paying extra for supposedly better shipping got me the freaking USPS, I would have paid for the top tier just to make sure that my order would at least eventually arrive at my house. Unfortunately, there is no option to see the courier service before you pay, so I got screwed out of two weeks and a bit extra money.
Since I can't contact anyone to get a better understanding of what's going on, I feel like the only thing left to do is reverse the charge to my card and warn other people about ordering anything online through Lion Brand Yarn. If you're going to get yarn from this company, which I personally haven't had an issue with (contrary to other reviews on this site), go to a physical store to buy it. Otherwise you're going to be stuck for at least a month without a product and no way to contact someone to address the issue.
