Cons:
1- Admins censor almost everything and ban people for no reason.

2- I would estimate 86% of the profiles are fake. You'll come across a lot of people using the same pictures with a different name or location. In fact if you happen to post pictures of yourself don't be surprised if you find someone else using yours photos to Catfish people.

3- Lots of scammers and beggars. So many posts are sob stories of single mums being kicked out of their homes begging for £60 to buy a few bits and pieces.

4- A lot of bullying. So many miserable pathetic people who hate themselves and are therefore sitting at home behind their keyboards spewing hate. Someone might post something like I passed my exams, for example. And the sad f***ers will say go kill yourself or nobody cares. They're incapable of just being civil normal people. Now this happens all over the Internet but on meetme it is on another level I'd say 7 out 10 comments is of this nature.

5- People craving attention so badly that they live stream and tell fake stories of abuse or pretend to be vets suffering from ptsd.

6- Myyearbook or meetme is listed in the playstore as an app to help you connect with people nearby who share similar interests as you and to make friends, yet for some reason so many guys seem to think it's a dating site. This can be annoying if like me you were hoping to make new friends to do fun activities or go to concerts with only to find that majority of the guys and girls are looking for love.

Pros:
1- none.

First and foremost, if you have issues (which you will have many) then the support feature isn't the place to go for advice as they do not get back to you regardless of the problems.
The fullsite version which has just been 'updated' is practically unusable. It's based on the app layout which just does not work for the website version.
You can't see who has liked your status updates, you can't post photos in the comment section, the credits feature which allows users to purchase coins for upgraded features has disappeared (even though members still have paid coins from the previous version) and navigation in general is very poor.
The app is slightly better, by better I mean it freezes and logs you out every 10 minutes or so... But for the people using this app/website to find love/friendship, well be careful, firstly the amount of fake profiles is amazing and further, FB profiles have been stolen and uploaded to increase userbase, an issue which has been raised many times to no avail.
I had to click on a rating as it wouldn't allow me to give it a generous no score.

Loaded with scammers posing as woman either to pfish personal information out of men or homosexual men trying to get attention from heterosexual men.

I can't believe I don't actually see other people reporting these kinds of encounters with the fake profiles. It's all I see all day on this app.

Seriously so many of the females you see on this app are promoting their own Snapchat and prostitution business. After adding their free Snapchats and seeing their previews it even looks like it's just a small ring of individuals using a few different girls videos so they can scam people. There's just so much scamming going on through this app.

Like other people said it used to be much better especially when it was my yearbook. There were much less fakes and it was easier to finds the kind of people you were looking for. There were more activities on the site. Now there is just posting status feeds and money that they make with the girls that stream and have desperate guys throwing cash gifts at them.

They completely dumbed-down down the website to mirror the mobile phone app. This site sucks now.

Most of the men who contacted me were just looking for sex. So sad that so many men nowadays apparently think that women who join websites like this are cheap and easy. I joined this site to get the word out about the massage establishment I was working at, as it was a new establishment, after a co-worker told me she used the site to build a client base at the previous establishment she worked at. The only kind of posts I ever made on the site were about that I'm a massage therapist trying to build a client base. I always made my posts available to both men AND women, and always said in my posts that I do NOTHING of a sexual nature as part of my services; on two occasions, my posts were actually removed! Really? Even though it said right there in my post that I don't do anything sexual. Just because someone practices massage, does NOT mean they're a prostitute! It's truly sad how many people think that massage = prostitution in this day and age. I did have at least 5 people from the website (they all ended up being men) come in for a massage, and thankfully, they were decent people who never once asked me if I'd be willing to do more than just a massage. But the far majority of people who responded to my posts (mostly men, by a long shot) were wanting more than just a legit, professional massage, and it disgusted me! If there was an upside to being on this site, other than managing to get a few decent clients, it's that some men told me I'm the classiest lady they've ever seen on the site. I deleted my account a few months back, and I will never make an account with MeetMe again, not with all the men on there who are just looking for casual, meaningless sex. I am NOT that kind of person at all!
