They misinform you that a law firm "will charge you fees up front" and the lawyers don't even know what they're doing. "they don't understand mold & all the science that goes with it ". But NO law firm is permitted to charge a personal injury Claimant up front, per the state bar association in every state, for any type of personal injury or medical malpractice case. This is well regulated. Injury cases are classified as contingency cases- no exceptions that I'm aware of. If an attorney TRIES to charge you up front for any kind of personal injury case, you should report them immediately to the state bar association for professional misconduct
2. I had an initial conversation with the representative at mold law group. There was a significant communication problem: it took 2 long overly verbose conversations to get a very simple question answered that should have taken less than 5 minutes. I work in the legal arena and I need quick and concise answers vs long-winded responses that do not address the question at all.or what I also found - he often answered a question with a question. And He kept repeating over and over... If I "try to take my case to any attorneys They will not understand all the science, etc, the testing, or mold in general". I said " so you're saying I need to prosecute this on my own, without an attorney?" he said "no that's not the case - The attorneys WE work with DO understand this stuff." (That should have been stated upfront and should not have taken 2 days and two long conversations to reveal). Instead of opening by saying "no attorney you go to will understand this stuff" he should have OPENED with "no attorneys ***except*** the attorneys we work with understand this stuff."
3. The bottom line: unless you pay them about $6 k for all the phases and the inspections etc, they won't refer you to any of the law firms they customarily work with who understand all this stuff.
It made me very nervous when he kept saying without their expert guiding them through the entire process, and doing a lot of hand holding, no attorneys understand mold litigation. I work in litigation myself and I can tell you that after several years of litigating cases of a certain genre, if attorneys still need THAT level of handholding, They are not very good at what they're doing.
Explanations are far too long-winded and very misinforming. I was told "no attorneys understand mold stuff" which made me feel not confident in any attorneys. Then they did the switcheroo and said "the attorneys THEY refer you to do understand this stuff. But they also said only if their expert is holding their hand all along the way. Does not inspire confidence in the litigators they're going to refer you to .
