This is a warning to any and all that are considering spending money on this system. Take my advice and do not do it. Poor service, Terrible connectivity, even worse customer service. I had one from Nov24 to today and during that time the device was mostly unusable. They then told me they were sending me an upgraded sim card with improved service. It took from Feb25 until today for it to get here and then I was told I had to buy a new subscription to their service. I'm sorry, I do not pay for a service that does not work. I told them if they wanted to keep my business they would provide me 3-6 months trial service to insure it worked while I travelled or the unit was headed for the trash. They basically said to pitch it in the garbage. Done Deal!
You can't return this item once the box is open. I am returning it because it doesn't work AT ALL. But apparently the policy still stands. My data plan didn't go through because my credit card company flagged the charge as fraudulent (customer service told me this with a perfectly straight face...and no answer to why they didn't contact me to fix it?) and I "used up" my free data - which is completely impossible since NOTHING HAPPENED. It charged, it indicated it was trying to connect with our devices, but never for one second did we have internet. BAD JOB - RUN THE OTHER WAY - get more hot spot data on your phone and forget this company!
I bought one of their device in November, as a birthday gift for a close friend in December. I did not know if he already had one, but I was comforted by their 30-day return policy. Sure enough, he did have one - but when I tried to return it (un-opened boxes), I received nothing but generic "We are busy at the holiday season - we will get back to you" emails. I sent multiple emails, asking for a better response, but to no avail after a month now.

THINK TWICE about purchasing ANYTHING from this company. The device is not anything as to what you read on there website. For me, it did NOT WORK. When I inquired about returning for a refund, they told me that they will refund your money ONLY IF IT IS IN ORIGINAL SEALED BOX…. UNUSED. Well how are you supposed to know if it will work unless you open the box to set it up. Another MAJOR issue with this company is getting any customer service help, FIRST, YOU SEND THEM A MESSAGE AND THEN YOU WAIT AN HOUR OR MORE FOR THEM TO REPLY AND IF YOU DON'T SIT ON YOUR HANDS WAITING ON THEM TO REPLY, YOU WILL MISS THEIR RESPONSE AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO SEND THEM ANOTHER MESSAGE AND AGAIN WAIT FOR THEIR NEXT MESSAGE. I SPENT NEARLY 3 DAYS ON GETTING HELP BECAUSE I HAVE A LIFE AND DON'T HAVE TIME TO SIT AND WAIT ON THEM FOR HOURS.
I bought this for work in St. Louis city, nowhere exotic or far from technology, this should have worked. I told them December 10th that I needed to return this because it does not work. That was after seeing if it would work for 3 days. Here we are, January 18th I am still awaiting a response besides the constant we are experiencing high volume responses. So, obviously, the 30 day return policy is impossible because they require you to contact them and they need to send a return document for the defective device.
Don't waste your time it is a crappy device does not work and customer support is never available no through chat, calls and emails just auto responses

The first problem I have with the Ryoko is that the connection is unreliable and spotty. If I am not using any my devices for a few hours, the connection goes down and I have to go through the whole procedure of re-connecting. I have had the connection go off for a while day at a time. The wireless is most often weak and pages do not load. I have been in situations where nothing would load; I drive to a local MacDonald's parking lot, switch to their wi-fi and everything loads immediately; but their connection is not secure and at risk. I use the recommended service from Viaota. The interface on the device is confusing and not user-friendly at all, with the main screen which is text driven, confusing and not very responsive. The device is very cheaply made with button response being questionable at best. There is, in addition to the main screen, another interface at the bottom—the word 'Ryoko'. Sometimes it lit up with white letters, other times it is lit with Red letters, sometimes it is not lit. What does that mean? This does not seem to correlate with the main screen at all—very confusing. I have searched YouTube for good instruction videos but there is nothing but review videos which are simply covert sales tools. I could go on about the problems that I have had with this device and its service but I don't really wish to. I've been ripped off; end of story.
Poor service only had mbps of 7.3 inside and outside of my house i went to return it and they will not accpet returns if it was not open... lol then they said i can return the item but they charge an undisclosed amount,,, next thing was the want to to pay return shipping to germany at a cost of $72.00 and still a undisclosed amount,, plus they attached an auto pay of $10.00 a month on my paypal account,,, to bad i cant give zero stars
SCAM! I received an email and opened it because I didn't know about Ryoko. After looking at the information, I left the site. An hour later I went to my American Express card site and there were 4 charges from Ryoko totaling $264.85. They are not ligit. I checked my email and there were no receipt emails from them.
I attempted to order one unit and when I double checked my order miraculously they had sent me too, so I called back within five minutes of placing the order and was told that it had already gone to processing and then I couldn't change the order so they told me I should just accept the order as is and return the unused unit When it arrives not telling me that I would have to pay return shipping. They also ship the unit to the billing address in Florida not my actual location in Maryland causing me to incur an additional $11.48 In forwarding fees, the price to return the whole order unused and unopened was $69 subtracted from $138 order. This company is a shame. Their shipping practices are dishonest. I would order the unit from Amazon instead of ordering it directly from them if you want one.
This device is fantastic. While most people might purchase it for business or travel, I've been using it as my primary internet source. Although I initially encountered some setup confusion, the customer service team was incredibly helpful and got it working smoothly. It's a reliable device with a speedy connection, making it a great choice for anyone.

They sent me two when i only order one as well. Their advertising states that there are no contracts which to me means no monthly fees to use the device; however, AFTER you make the purchase, they let you know that you will need to pay $40/month so I called customer service to cancel before they shipped. I also sent TWO separate emails to them attempting to cancel BEFORE they shipped. They shipped any way and when i received a return merch auth, their return address is Lithuania rather than the guy "Jerry" in california who sent it to me. The cost to ship these things to Lithuania is nearly as much as the cost of the TWO (not one that I ordered) that they shipped me. I'm contacting the FTC to report shady business practices. The reception is impressive for such a compact device. I've utilized this nearly daily since bought it, and it's fantastic! The internet speed is rapid, and downloads are excellent as well... I'm satisfied with this item. Although there have been occasional minor issues, such as password or connection problems, their customer support was prompt and provided solutions within minutes. Dependable and recommendable!
I was a little apprehensive on this purchase however totally satisfied with the performance locally in Scotland. I to date not had a chance to check performance abroad hopefully as good as back home it certainly saves you hunting for wi fi when out and about.
Got it after 12 days from date of order. Transaction was smooth. The translator works well as expected. Had a confusion during set-up but their customer support did well in helping me out. All smooth now, thanks!
Quality product at a reasonable price. Very quick postage. Awesome company to deal with. I accidentally put the wrong address down. A 10-minute phone call and it was sorted with ease. I highly recommend purchasing products from this shop.
What can I say? Well it worked like a dream! We recently took a 12-hour road trip and it was excellent. My wife watched her stories all the way over, except in the mountains where no one gets a signal. It allowed me to drive in peace and listen to some YouTube videos I wanted to catch up on.
This company should be outlawed. I can't believe they allow this kind of companies to operate without any regard to us the customers. This little Wi-Fi machine that they have is a piece of s*** it didn't work anywhere there was no service anywhere when I travel throughout Europe and Asia battery life is very very short and I had no service and no internet service ever do not buy this it's a scam if you don't believe me throw away your money...! It is made by a little company in Lithuania and when you want to return the item the shipping cost more than twice the price of the device so they give you 50% and let you keep the product the product is not worth 0.5%

This company is in Lithuania and they don't tell you if you return their product you have to pay the shipping cost that are very high because its in another country. They also won't let you return if the package was opened even if you didn't use it. Now if you do these things you will spend another hour trying to get a return label and that's after you finally get through to them. Don't buy from this company.
