This car transport company has by far been the WORST customer service experience I have ever had.
I was blindsided and misinformed and SCAMMED into paying more due to my helplessness of getting my car shipped on time.
I had placed my order over the phone on August 13,2023 and have a receipt for $805 for having my car shipped from Michigan to Florida. The truck driver was scheduled to pick up my car on either September 11 or 12,2023 as I was very clear that I will be leaving the state of Michigan on Sept 13,2023.
During the course of the month all I received were couple of emails saying the company is working on arranging a truck driver.
When I did not receive any confirmation till Sept 10, is when I started calling the customer service only to be advised that the truck driver will be there either on Sept 11 or 12 to pick up my car.
Sept 11, I called their customer service approximately 10 times and each time was advised that they are working on arranging a truck driver. By this time I was really frustrated and anxious as I had to get my car shipped but still did not have any confirmation from the company.
Sept 12, I received a call from the customer service stating that they have a driver who can pick up my car on Sept 13, hearing which I was extremely upset as I had explicitly stated every time I spoke to the company that I will not be available on Sept 13 as I leave the state and want the car to be picked up prior to it.
I received a call again from the company saying that they were able to arrange a truck driver for Sept 12, but I will have to pay $1000 for the shipment. As I was absolutely helpless and left with no other option till the last minute that I had to pay that amount for my car to be shipped.
I have heard and read about car shipping companies SCAMMING customers by making them wait till the the last second, taking advantage of the helpless situation of the customer and then charging them a higher amount than was decided originally. In my experience NEXUS AUTO TRANSPORT is the prime example of such SCAMMERS.
