Ladies please BEWARE I was catfished on the OURTIME dating site. He scammed me for
1.1 MILLION US dollars.
If he asks for money to be wired to a Bitcoin broker DO NOT DO IT …. DO NOT DO IT … BE AWARE
(I really thought he was the love of my life)
I created an account but didn't actually pay until 3 weeks after - when I received a great deal in an email. Fast forward to today, I log into my laptop and discovered that during the 3 weeks I wasn't a paying member, they would send fake messages to other members. Ourtime sent members that I clicked 'yes I would be interested' fake messages that; I made them my favorite member, I loved their pictures, I wanted to hear more from them, I had sent a flirt... which I had NEVER sent. That eventually triggered an email sent to those members that I had liked their profile somehow. And eventually, those members would reply back to my profile with either flirts or a response that would trigger an email back to me that someone had made me there favorite, or I have a message from a member, ect... all to entice me to pay to join.
Upon discovering that, I changed my profile to totally idiotic choices because no matter who sends me a flirt, message or like my pictures, how am I to believe it was sent from a real member and not just someone who looked at my profile or just computer generated. Well guess what? I am still receiving flirts and messages with my idiot profile and I can bet you they are not from any member because there is no way anyone would reply to my profile the way it is now posted.
I am surprised Ourtime has not been investigated yet. There is nothing legitimate about them. All they do is take money from people. Seriously, that's all they do.
I JOINED "OUR TIME" IN AUGUST, SINCE THEN I'VE HAD TO CHANGE MY USER NAME AND PASS WORD 4 TIMES AND USE A SET UP A NEW EMAIL ACCT. FOR THIS SITE. MY USER NAME SHOWED UP WITH A MAN'S PHOTO TWICE! WHEN I COMPLAINED I WAS TOLD THAT FOR SECURITY REASONS THAT COULDN'T TRANSFER MY PHOTOS, ANY INFO AND I'D HAVE TO DO A WHOLE NEW PROFILE! SECURITY! WHAT KIND OF SECURITY IS THIS? I LOG OUT EVERYTIME I'M FINISHED ON THE SITE. I WAS ON THIS SITE 3 YRS, AGO AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. I TRIED TO TALK TO A SUPERVISOR... ONLY 1 AVAILABLE... BUSY WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS SITE TO ANYONE! TRY POF. IT'S FREE ANDI'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT.
I agree with all the other reviews here regarding OurTime.com. I wish I had looked at the reviews before paying money to this fraud service.
I have just proven most of the profiles are fake. I make contact with a woman who claimed she was from Georgia, but she hinted in her profile with a zipcode from Nuevo León, Hualahuises Mexico.
I asked about it and within 10 minutes the profile was changed. This was the SECOND confirmable SCAM I encountered.
I've been in the process of getting a refund. I don't think I'll get it, even so, the OutTime web service NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED as FRAUD!
Our time is constantly lying when it tells you that you have a message. The site itself sends out AUTOMATED MESSAGES to you indicating that matches are "interested" in you when you view their profile and they view you in return. They count sending their own automated scam messages to you on behalf of matches, many of whom did not intentionally contact you at all. The site never seems to remove old profiles, so you will constantly contact match profiles of inactive members. I am no longer a member, but my profile remains open on the site. Approx 25 percent of all the "real" profiles of reasonably attractive member are scammer profiles. By real I mean a profile that is active. In Many of these scammer cases, the person pictured in the profile is not the profile maker. It is all a scam, and a lot of time and effort are spent receiving and corresponding with scammer.
At the point I joined Outime, the site was telling me I had 48 messages. Remember though that the site includes its own automated messages to you in that count. I contacted ALL of these so called messages. I had 4 actual messages sent by members who had reached out to me. I had received contact reminders from the site each day reminding me to respond to my unread messages (48). Through my entire experience ikon this site, I felt scammed and lied to
Horrible site. Don't do it. Disrespectful! Ugly and nasty. Also the site won't let you cancel! Ie this posy that I'm being forced to send
MY DAUGHTER IN LAW GOT ME USING OURLIFE OVER CHRISTMAS AS SHE FELT I HAD BEEN LONELY TOO LONG. SHE WAS RIGHT, AS USUAL. AFTER SOME TEETHING PROBLEMS (I LOST MY LOG IN PASSWORD, I COULDNT FIGURE OUT HOW TO SEARCH SPECIFIC AREAS, ETC) I STARTED USING THE SUBSCRIPTION MORE. IM NOW AT THE STAGE WHERE IVE LEFT OURTIME AND IM TRYING A NEW ONE CALLED PRIMETIMELOVE.COM, WHICH IS DEFININTELY MORE UP MY STREET. IVE HAD SOME LOVELY CORRESPONDANCE WITH GENTLEMEN IN VARIOUS PREDICAMENTS; A WIDOWER, TWO DIVORCED, ONE LOVELY MAN WHO HAD NEVER BEEN MARRIED AND USED THE SITE TO FIND NEW FRIENDS. OVERALL ID SAY IM VERY PLEASED I STUCK WITH THIS AND EVEN THOUGH I STILL NEED SOME COMPUTER TIPS FROM MY DAUGHTER IN LAW (AND EVEN MY GRANDSON SOMETIMES!) I FIND THE WHOLE ONLINE DATING SCENARIO QUITE FACINATING AND A WORTHWHILE, INEXPENSIVE AND FUN WAY TO MEET NEW PEOPLE.
With all the buzz around online dating, particularly for the over 50s, I decided to see what it was all about. I read an article in a popular British newspaper on the rise of the 'silver surfer' and how my generation is the fastest growing market for tablets and ipads. I must admit I like the idea, as its not like at my age im going to be going out as often as I did when I was younger (im a young 56!) and even if I did, how many of the women out there would be suitable for me? Online dating makes sense, at least to try. So I signed up to two sites (the article suggested that this was a good way to double your chances), this one and also a nice little site called primetimelove.com that I would recommend as a fun alternative with plenty of members. Anyway, joining was very easy and I was able to add a few pictures of myself that I had from a recent BBQ so that worked out nicely. I wrote some information about myself; hobbies, likes, dislikes. Didnt harp on too much as the article had said to keep things light and funny if possible. I've searched the female members and must say I like what ive seen at this point. Had a chat with a lady from Easy Sussex over the weekend and we seemed to get on well which is a good sign and a great start. So its a case of so far so good as far as im concerned and I can see me using these sites for sometime and who knows, maybe romance will bloom for this old timer! Either way its something different and takes a bit of focus away from work. Would recommend to anyone who isnt sure its really not as terrifying as it can seem!
OurTime is a credit card scamming company posing as a dating service. "Customer Service" should properly be named "Customer Disservice" or "The Hall of Mirrors".
Answer: Not sure what you mean by the shaded areas. But never mind, I agree with Alex H, don't get involved with them, they are just after your money. The reply rate is extremely low and the site is full of fake profiles. You will just lose your time with it ( like I did and I regret it). It's important to find a legit site, the site that should suit you best and I found mine: https://j4l.com/402007 It's 100% legit and valid and they don't resort to bots and fakes. I met my girlfriend through them so I know it's a working site!
Answer: They are charging me and I cannot get on this site, I want a refund as I have not been able to use this site,
