Love the programming, news, classic TV and movies, science shows, etc. But pluto TV is oversaturated with adverts. Many of the adverts are scams, such as non FDa approved health, weight loss, testosterone snKe oil always at a high price and AUTO SHIPMENt of their bad products. THIS IS WHY PLUTO IS PRACTICALLY UNWATCHABLE.
The site is great but the ads are awful, repetitive and incredibly annoying. I haven't ever been to a channel broadcasting on TV or live streaming that has been doing nothing but playing the most grating repetitive commercials. The obnoxious South Park ads going: " YOU'Ve BEEN PLAYING RED DEAD REDEMPTION?!?!11 " and this sperg from some funniest video compilation show going: " BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZZ " over and over again like a child.
If there was anything more annoying in life I couldn't name it.
I watch Three's Company daily and if there is a few minutes before the next episode you play this awful music with then Pluto icons I'd rather take the commercials please
The app is laggy, gets stuck playing in the background often, and the interface/navigation is frustrating to use. Commercials are awful and too 'left-leaning' for my taste.
Disappointing.
Trash. Skips in episodes to different scenes already watched, repeats the same commercial break back to back. Paramount+ pukes out the same 8 commercials for shows every time.
I am sick and tried of these Spanish commerials. I love watching Rules but when they have commerials I don't understand I am ready to turn it off.One in English 3 in Spanish all on a roll.
When you watch a program its constantly changing and interrupted to the point where you can't follow the program. Its like that on all pluto channels. So annoying I uninstalled pluto.
Want to watch an entire episode of a show? Great. Watch the first half or so, along with about 15 commercials. Then watch it slow down, lag, freeze up, and exit the application.
So go back in, find the episode you already watched half of, and fast forward to about where you the show crashed. Watch even more commercials to get back to close to where you were, then watch part of the show you already saw and more commercials. Great, right?
Nope. Towards the end of the show, it'll crash yet again. This time, you can't get back to where you were. If you try to fast forward past the halfway point of the show, it'll zip right to the end and start the next episode. So this time, fast forward to the midpoint. Watch five or six commercials you've already seen four or five times. After the commercials end, fast forward to where you think the show might have crashed. Watch another five or six commercials for the fifth or sixth time. Watch part of the show you've already seen to get back to where it crashed.
If you're lucky, the show you're watching will only crash twice. If you're not, expect to do this at least three times. So enjoy your forty-five minute show in just under 70 minutes after all the fast forwarding and rewatching of commercials.
If you like to be annoyed and frustrated, this is the app for you. All the bad parts of watching television—commercials and repetition—over and over and over again.
Its a good idea, and I get where it comes from, I'm even on board with the reality of it. Cause lets face it, millions of homes buy cable and over the air TV an do nothing but sit on social media, youtube and other sites all day. Nobody watches "TV" anymore. Its good that they want to come up with a solution for this, but it has issues. Most of the channels are sub 720p and even in the case of the 4K channel... its not in 4k by the way. The ads they give you have no real mesh with the channel they're displayed on, and some of them are even offensive. Which compounds the offense by playing the same ad over and over again.
The ideas for the channels are good, but they're going to need the backing of what already pulls in the most views on normal cable TV. They lack Sci Fi, MTV, BET, Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, AMC, FX, CNN or Fox News just to name some of the largest draws on regular TV.
Its a great idea, and if you don't bother with any of the channels I mentioned above and have finally gone fully digital running nothing to your home except the Internet, then its an ok solution for the time being. But in order for this thing to break the wall and hit the mainstream, it needs more mainstream channels, more mainstream sponsors, and more mainstream technology. Destroying a large chunk of their user base by offering sub optimal resolutions at full screen... won't help the cause.
It doesn't make real sense to leave the living room TV and go to the bedroom TV. And have to go through all the Damm commercials to get to where you left off in the living room. NO SENSE. MAKES NO DAMM SENSE. FIX THAT. GOING TO LEAVE THIS MESSAGE ON FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM AND TWITTER. FIX IT PLEASE.
