The match group purchased this once successful website that had a early history of being a pioneer in online dating. It used to be a great website. When match purchased it they destroyed the site and turned it into a scam money making business that pays on people looking for relationships. The website is filled with scam profiles. This is a dangerous sight because there is no way to know if you were dealing with a real person or someone looking to harm you or steal your money. The site does absolutely nothing to protect its users. When you pay, you are paying to contact people that are most likely going to be fakes or bots or scammers. Paying for this site or any dating website is a mistake and you should never do this. Plenty of fish and nearly all of the match.com dating websites are dangerous and are there only to steal your money. They are not there to help you find a date and if you go online and pay them you are being foolish and setting yourself up not only to waste your money but you are also putting yourself at risk for being scammed. It's also terrible for your mental health as you will be frustrated. Many people complain about the quality of the daters / profiles on this and other dating sites. Unfortunately, they are not that many real people on these dating sites. Complaints are made about fake profiles and scam profiles that are not real. Unfortunately people don't realize this. This is bad for society and bad for dating in general. Please note that paying any money for any of these dating sites is only giving money to scammers and does absolutely nothing to increase your chance of meeting the person of your dreams. If you believe this you were going to be sadly disappointed not only that you can't meet somebody but that you have most likely been scammed and scammed by plenty of fish as they have stole your money. If you read this review and you continue to pay money to these dating sites you are contributing to this scamp. Don't come back and complain afterwards. I'm not saying that you won't be able to find someone on this site but it's going to be very difficult and frustrating and really bad for your mental health. Just don't pay. Paying gives you absolutely no increase chance of finding someone. I see so many people that give money away to these sites for no reason at all. Match.com or the match group is a scam company based on taking advantage of people and stealing money from people who are looking for love. Plenty of fish is one of their worst sites. The match group is a publicly traded company. Unfortunately dating sites are on regulated. They do not have to provide any service to you for your money that you give them. They do not have to provide any statistics or show you any proof that your money is helping you at all in your dating efforts. This is not like gambling and casinos where they are regulated and they are required to prove that they are paying out. Match.com and their dating sites only have to take your money and they do not have to give you anything in return. Complain and they will cancel your subscription and you will be out of your money. Be very careful because once you pay, you are on a continuous billing cycle which is almost impossible to stop. You'll have better chances buying a lot of lottery ticket. Use the money that you were paying for your dating sites and for this site and just buy lottery tickets instead. Don't believe any of the positive reviews. These companies including the match group and POF all pay for positive reviews. Scammers are encouraged to be on their site and there is a symbiotic relationship between the scammers and the dating sites. The scammers that populate POF and the other match group dating sites websites profiles are created through organized crime. They make millions and millions of dollars scamming people out of their money on these sites. The match group and specifically POF does absolutely nothing to protect those people that use their sites and do nothing to get rid of the scammers on their sites. Again this is dangerous and you should be aware that the people that you are talking to are most likely computer-generated bots or scammers sitting in a crowded sweat shop and another country somewhere like Russia or Africa and not real people. Never give money to anyone that you meet online no matter how close feelings you have for that person. I have personal experience seeing thousands of bots and scammer profiles and actually talking to many. I've never given money to anyone so I've never been scammed but emotionally, in the past I had let my guard down and this can also affect you negatively.Don't believe any of the positive reviews and look for the number of reviews the reviewer has under their profile. You'll see that a lot of positive reviews have one review in total period Believe the negative reviews. Look at the quality of the positive reviews and the quality of the negative reviews and use your common sense when reading reviews and never go on the overall score that a site has for a company because those overall scores are spurious. Use your common sense and dating and use your common sense when evaluating these sites. There is no trusted dating site on the internet. Use internet dating sites with caution and never pay.

If I only help one person who decides not to pay for plenty of fish or any of these dating sites, I feel like I have done a great deed. I really hope everybody believes what I say and is not swayed by any of the fake review sites or fake reviews of this company.
I never paid for the site. Unfortunately the way this website works is they require proof that you made a purchase. Although I use the site, I never made a purchase from the site. It makes it difficult to show proof.
