Wow! What a phenomenal experience to spend a week sailing the Whitsunday seas on Portland Roads. From the moment our Master Reef Guide and Skipper Joshua informed us of the adventure we were about to embark on to the moment we waved Goodbye I felt completely safe, cared for and encouraged to make the most of the beautiful week holiday.The boat itself is stunningly equiped with all kitchen appliances, fridges and freezers, towels, comfortable bedding, towels, pillows, coffee machine, etc. There are numerous seating areas to enjoy meals, personal relaxing time, moments with your loved ones, panoramic views of the jaw dropping nature and many angles to catch a breeze.The nature we saw from the boat and islands we went to was beyond belief. I am so grateful for the focus on Indigenous and Ecological culture that was touched on throughout the whole trip. It goes such a long way to talk about these subjects and Joshua did an incredible job at bringing positive and inspiring attention to so. Not only do I feel like I have gone on a relaxing holiday but I feel like I've had a once in a lifetime experience. My heart is completely FULL! Thank you so much to the team behind Portland Roads. Incredible experience on Portland Roads! Portland Roads is a luxury catamaran immaculately fitted out like a five-star hotel on water. It's a lot easier to drive/operate than what we thought as you have all the sat nav and depth sound equipment and you need not put up the sails if your not confident, but it's awesome if you do. We were surprised how little fuel we used, so no problem if you dont wish to use the sails. We loved the barbecue at the back of the boat and the large spacious outdoor/undercover dining area where you could enjoy being one with nature whilst dining in your secluded remote-like setting in whatever inlet or bay you decided to moor/anchor in. Our suite was immaculate and comfortable with a skylight above the bed and ensuite. Fully-equipped kitchen and plenty of fridge/freezer space. The owner and his staff were super awesome, with communication and the whole booking/briefing process was made very easy for us.We saw plenty of dolphins, turtles, sting rays, giant trevally and plenty of other marine Life. One gets many great experiences on a trip like this from sitting up on the deck at night in your soft portable cushy deck lounges, staring in awe at the billions of stars, with cold beers and great friends. We have been planning to go sailing for several years. It did not disappoint. We saw multiple fish, 2 turtles and 2 dolphin fins as well as gorgeous scenery

We are Australian owned, operated and staffed. We are locals, employing locals. We passionately employ local Ngaro Elders. We care as much about you and your experience, as we do for the 74 Ngaro Islands and Waters of the Whitsundays.
To start our story, we sought permission to Sail in the Wake and Walk in the Footsteps of our First Nations people.
We now respectfully interpret 60,000 years of mainland Yuwibara, Koinmerburra, Barara Barna, Wiri, Juru and Gia history, Along with 9,000 years of Ngaro island and seafaring stories.
