Used propersoft to convert csv files to quicken files. Was easy to use. The review requires 100 characters which is annoying
The software did what it said it would do. I'm pleased with it. The conversions worked, and I am able to do what I need to do.
Thank you for your review, Laurel
Found an issue with the converter not breaking out tickers correctly when the security did not have a ticker. Problem was resolved.
Thank you for your review, Ryan
I received answers to my questions quickly and the answers were detailed and comprehensive.
Thank you for your review, Robert
The product works great, it worked for exactly what I needed it to do. If I could suggest 1 thing that they could do to help those of us that are rookies to this new technology is to post a number that was easy to call for support questions.
Hello Mike, I checked the support records and your refund request for incorrect order was processed on the same day you placed it.
These guys were fantastic! Answered all my questions and the software worked as described. Saved me a lot of time
Thank you for your review, George
I purchased their product several years ago and I hadn't used it for awhile. I couldn't get the license I had written down to work. They responded almost immediately to my email and resolved my problem. Additionally - I was solicited by their competitor Moneythumb in a most underhanded way. I'm so glad I didn't fall for it.
Thank you for your review, Susie
I am a bookkeeper and travel from client to client so I need to use the service at various locations... it's not easy to login and start using.
Hello Mayra,
Thank you for your review. All converters are desktop applications for PC and Mac. There is no need to login anywhere to use the applications.
I have a huge number of QIF files, going back to 1995. Clever people tell me that I could easily convert them manually to more manageable form, but QIF2CSV does it effortlessly and beautifully. Worth every cent of the price.
Thank you for your review, Francis
Not really satisfied with the program. Am using it to transfer files from Fujitsu iX500 scanner, through ScanSnap Receipt, into Quicken. It doesn't pick up all of the column headings, is not flexible enough to map properly. I messed with it for awhile, hoping to get a faster way to input receipts into Quicken. Finally realized I could get a lot more done with direct entry of each receipt into Quicken. ScanSnap Receipt only has mapping for Quickbooks, which isn't mapping flexible either. Each program has its own quirks, and I don't have time to mess with them to make them work together.
Hello Susanne,
Thank you for taking your time to write your review for your software. For your case, you can try QBO2QIF at https://www.propersoft.net/qbo2qif/ or Bank2QIF at http://www.propersoft.net/bank2qif/ to convert QBO files produced by SnanSnap to Quicken compatible format.
It works great on some PDF file but on other it gave an error message that it couldn't recognize ANY data. But a competing program recognize it just fine.
Thank you for your review, Allison
I love the program. As a retired financial analyst, it's just what I was looking for. Simple, yet, effective. After 45 years of doing analysis, these days, I look for something that is simple and yet will do the job. Your product fills the bill grandly. Thank you for all you do and this great product. Best wishes.
Thank you for your review, Nicole
I purchased the software, when I was testing with a bank statement file. After purchasing it converted that file in full with few date mistakes and it worked fine, after that it didnt convert any file at all. I didnt pay the license fee for converting just one file.
Hello Murtaza,
Thank you for taking your time to review our software. We did receive your support request before purchase and provided you with discount by your request and then provided support to you for the issue with your PDF files.
If you are converting PDF files from non-US banks, we request to contact support@propersoft.net to review your files as PDF files especially from non-US banks come in great varieties and we add support for new PDF layouts very often.

Once I got the hang of it the import of data went well. Don't think they should charge for questions. They answered all mine before I bought the program.
Thank you for your review, Stephen
Easy to figure out and results are exactly as expected. If you know how to copy and paste files, then you already know how to use this program. Multiple transactions in PDF format from my bank was a simple click away to turn into QBO files.
Thank you for your review, Arnold
Once the file has been converted from csv to money, a further manual date change exercise needs to be performed. Not great for the cost considering the program purports to do this correctly automatically
Hello Rebecca,
Thank you for your review. You can adjust expected date format during conversion and reimport OFX file with correct dates. Please contact support@propersoft.net if you need any assistance.
I needed to reload all my bank transactions into a new Money Manager s/w app which only loaded QIF format data. The transactions were available for downloading from the Banks in various formats such as csv, pdf or QIF and I needed a solution to accurately convert all these files to QIF format. ProperSoft provided the solutions m- it did exactly "what was one the tin".
Thank you for your review, Ray
I did some trial runs using csv to iif, i need some help setting thr target accounts properly.
Let you know when and if I can send your support my file for assistance. Thanks
Judith, please email support@propersoft.net if you need any help
Propersoft CSV2QBJ converter can only convert 33 lines maximum of data into a QBJ file, any accountants will agree with me that this is of no value when you are trying to import excel/cvs files with hundreds of lines per journal entry. Further, once the journal entries were separated to create entries of 33 lines or less, the upload into Quickbooks failed and caused the company file to close. I do not recommend this tool for larger companies with journal entries over 33 lines to convert.
Update: Proper Soft granted me a refund in full, so I appreciate the customer service, although I would not recommend this product for larger companies with long journal entries to convert & post.
Thank you for your feedback. Quickbooks allows 33 lines PER ENTRY for General Journal Entries. If you are not using entry numbers on your CSV file, consider using them as this is Quickbooks limitation for general journal entries, not CSV2QBJ.
Please contact support@propersoft.net with details about the issue you experienced, and I will help you resolve it. QBJ format requires a lot of details to be provided, and you may consider CSV2QBO at https://www.propersoft.net/csv2qbo/ or CSV2IIF https://www.propersoft.net/csv2iif/ as easier choices for your data import.
A fantastic product. Very helpful customer service. If needed, will definitely use again.
Thank you for your review, Sally
Answer: PDF2CSV has Xero as the "CSV target", so it is suitable. CSV target as Xero means the CSV file will have all columns applicable during CSV import in Xero
Answer: Please try the latest version from https://www.propersoft.net/
Answer: Yes, please open this QIF file with the Transactions app and review transactions. If you see all data is parsed correctly, create a new QIF file selecting applicable QIF target.
Answer: Tim, Please try the Transactions app at https://www.propersoft.net/download/transactions
Answer: Hello Georiga, please email support@propersoft.net the QIF file that was created. PDF2QIF does not create mac zip files.
Answer: Yes, Bank2QIF at https://www.propersoft.net/products/bank2qif converts CSV, Excel, PDF, OFX, QFX, QBO, QMTF to QIF format.
Answer: Most likely you are referring to INTU. BID values. CSV2QFX reads the list of INTU. BID values from Quicken installed on the same computer. You can simply enter "allowed" INTU. BID value (a four digits number) as well before converting to a QFX file.
Answer: For the current version, bank, credit card transactions are supported. For investment accounts, only cash transactions are supported.
Answer: Yes, CSV2OFX, CSV2QIF, CSV2QFX create files importable by Banktivity 5 or later.
Answer: Hello Iliana, You can download at https://www.propersoft.net/download. Click on the download icon and click Windows download.
Convert transactions from one format to another and import into accounting software. For example, convert CSV to QBO, or PDF to QBO or Excel to QFX, or OFX to CSV. Make your transactions importable into Quickbooks, Quicken, MS Money, Xero, Sage One and others.
Thank you for your review, Yaw
