Quora is a failed attempt by Atheists and Christians to provoke people against Islam. Majority users are atheists who are old and unfortunately given a computer connection. These wasted lives do nothing but blab all day long. I am using the word "waste" as you would think with age comes wisdom but here it is miserable brainless morons who finally have a portal to yap nonsense all day.
I used this ridiculous site for 2 days with a Muslim and Christian name. Despite reporting several highly disrespectful questions about Islam, Quora never removed them. However when I asked a general question to explain Muslims reality in everyday life, my question was not only removed thrice but marked as inappropriate/needs consideration!
Question was "How many attacks or any horrible incidents you or people you know had in life were by Muslims compared to Christians, Jews, atheists etc?" Media associated Islam & Muslims with terrorism, then how come we don't see Muslims doing that in real life? They are in our neighbors, offices, gatherings, everywhere. How many times have you or people you know have faced terrorism by Muslims as compared to Christians, Jews, Hindus, atheists etc?"
Is this question in any way inappropriate unless it will fail the objective of spreading hatred against Islam.
Islam teaches respect against other religions and nobody likes to be disrespected or insulted regarding themselves, family or religion. Quora only aim is spread incorrect statements against Islam and yet Islam is the biggest religion in the world and still growing!
Quora should be banned and boycotted
QUORA may contact you with an offer to make money if you answer questions for them. This is contact generation BOT with very shady practices. I tried it. Within a few day I began receiving 20 or more emails a day. Many were legitimate questions. I am a retired business leader and part time Engineering Prof at a major East Coast University in the US. I soon began to receive questions seeking methods and sources of info that would facilitate cheating on homework, tests, and admissions exams. These questions did not seem to originate from US Citizens, but sounded Middle Eastern.
While teaching, several students came to me and informed me of rampant plagiarism and cheating by Asian and MIddle Eastern Students. I was shocked, but when I began to check it out, I found several of my students were submitting reports they lifted almost entirely off the internet. They were disciplined.
THE POINT: I will not assume that QUORA does this deliberately, but their BOT is either not managed at all, or needs serious moderation. It appears that these students not only cheat in school, they cheat to get into the school, and QUORA helps them do it. This may or may not be illegal, but the site needs to critically review it's operations, or it needs to be investigated for such violations. I suggest that you do not join, and if you do, be very careful. I cancelled my membership, of course.
I have been on quora for 3 years now and all i got was right answers from personal knowledge.there ARE some bad things there but they don't come to u if u don't go to them.
THIS IS AN UPDATE OF MY ORIGINAL 2018 REVIEW. Not much has changed. Quora fails to apply its own user rules. Users degrade the site with lowbrow name calling, a fallback for inarticulate people. Quora does nothing despite lofty claims of being a cordial site. Offenders complain when their victims defend themselves, implicating their victims fraudulently. Unless Quora makes an investment in intelligent human monitoring of its members, it's become a borderline vitriolic site full of hate language, four-letter words, and political divisiveness. We can get that anywhere on the web. So, Quora, what's your value to the online world? Me thinks: Not much untill you commit yourselves to integrity. As of now, you're just another hate site. And, yes, ugly name calling anyone who disagrees with you, incessant use of the "f" word, among other hate language, DOES put you in the hate site category. Shame on you. I was temporarily encouraged to remain on Quora through the 2020 election, but have now left and doubt I'll be back. Too low-brow.
If you get too controversial Quora will find a way to get rid of you - on a pretext, if necessary. In my case I followed the guidelines to what I thought was the letter but still had my answers collapsed. You get one appeal, and no feedback from the moderators. Controversy, in my case, related to answers about personality disorders, backed up by endless references. I think I stepped over an invisible line by quoting professionals about Tr**p's state of mind. Don't invest hours of your time on Quora - they can and will remove any posts on what appears to be a whim. Put that time into a book, or a website, or something you have control over.
However, controversial 'fake' questions which I suspect Quora insiders dream up to arouse interest regularly appear in my inbox in their digest. It's not by any means a level playing field. Controversial and 'popular' (i. E. lowest common denominator) answers regularly get into the digest posted out to all and sundry.
I strongly suspect there are psychological deviants in the moderators and / or staff, filtering out those posters they consider to be 'undesirable'. There are also lots of deliberately misinformative answers, and troll commenters seeking to get an emotional reaction that will lead to you being banned.
If you're answering questions about maths, or tigers, or anything straightforward you'll be welcome.
Quora deserves a zero star, for it is very biased on many issues esp. Political ones, like its widespread one-sided pro-China stance by repeating Beijing propaganda, such as that Hong Kong pro-democratic movements are actually gangsters disturbing law and order, which is a thorough lie fabricated by the dictatorship regime which actually combined force with real gangsters and dictator's gangster-like police using brutal force against millions of students and citizens, who are simply demanding democratic voting rights and continuous rule of a western style independent legal system away from the long reach claws of the dictatorship regime.
I'm from China, know its evil political system well & how the dictatorship uses every opportunity to brainwash and mislead Chinese population to be its puppets. So I wrote a short answer explaining why there's almost no support in China for Hong Kong democratic movements. Quora quickly banned that answer, and dismissed my appeal in the same prompt manner.
It becomes clear to me that Quora is most likely controlled by foreign (read "Chinese dictatorship") influences, as it drools on Chinese hot money. It's certainly a good idea to stay away from this kind of propaganda website. Will delete my account and put the site on my blacklist forever.
Curious, shouldn't anyone from FBI looking to this? Has Quora registered itself according to the Foreign Agents Registration Act?
I left and publically berated quora a long time ago. It's nice to see the impact. Everyone agrees with me. Quora sucks, and the writing is on the wall.
Don't trust this site. It is run by the fools of the headless table. They demand you give them your identity and they hand it out like it's a piece of tooty fruity.
Like everything else in the United States including donald trump, quota is under the control of the zionists in israel. I tried to tell the truth months ago about israel at quota and got expelled
If I'm not going to have a verified career, there should be no reason for me to put my real name, I got blocked from COMMENTING on answers to questions I ask. Because everyone is allowed to write answers that are verified, when I ask a question people just give unhelpful answers like stating the obvious go to the doctor, I don't actually need to go to the doctor for some things that are very arbitrary but unordinary.
Answer: Yes, the questions about penis size and virginity seems to sponsor endless discussion!
Answer: Because Google put Quora answers at the top of their search results when people search for a question they see the answer from Quora. Which is stupid because most answers on Quora aren't even correct lol. Idk why Google wants to promote that site, if they own it or they want to buy it and incorporate it into Google at some point. I think the site is awful and it should be shut down because it's just a propaganda site. You do not see Quora from any other search engine for example duckduckgo. But you see it in Google.
Answer: No, it is obviously leftist but it does on occasion allow questions or replies for short periods of time that are obviously uncomfortable to the "politicaly correct" crowd in a useless attempt to appear unbiased.
Answer: I honestly feel and highly suspect from certain traits that Quora pays Google to be high on the rank and they get *buddy buddy* with the government. Quora is essentially too big to fail. We no longer have capitalism but now live under governmentism which Trump pledges to end but can he? Does he really mean what he says? That is the million $ question.
Quora has a rating of 1.6 stars from 572 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Quora most frequently mention social media, hate speech and left wing. Quora ranks 79th among Question And Answer sites.
