Are you kidding me?
February 26, 2020

I was on Quora for exactly two months and developed a pretty good following and got tons of upvotes and positive responses. Today I got booted off because I didn't use my real name. I used the name of Apollo Dawn and I didn't see anything wrong with that. I didn't even asked to join.My Google account opened up that door. I tried to access them and they gave me some bulls**t of having to send them documented proof of my real name. Okay, you want me to send your veriification of my 'real name"? That would mean sending you sensitive info over a website that is isn't very secure. (You have guys sitting in their bedrooms accessing the top institutions in the country with frightening ease and you want me to send you documentation of my real name?... Don't think so). The name that i used was okay for two months, now you find fault with it? I did my research and found out two disturbing things going on here.
One was that only "privileged" members were allowed to use names that were not theirs. Privileged Members? This is a site you can go on to have fun, seek info on certain subjects and hopefully make someone's day. You're either gonna' treat everybody the same or close up shop. The second was that if someone else on Quora suspects that your name is not real, they can rat you out to the administrators and have you locked out. Sounds like a bunch of old women going after each other at get together. What business is it of anyone's if you choose to go with a another name outside of your own? Being on Quora was fun while it lasted and I'm gonna' miss the questions. But i refused to give any sensitive info like identity proof to a site that is wide opened to be hack with ease.

I see accounts with conservative opinions being banned but liberals opinions aren't. Another heavily biased website.

I come to ask questions and get answers, but normally its just insults based off my question if they gonna be smart mouth why even bother to answer, then they disable comments cause they know they were wrong. Im not here to scare anyone but the least I could do is help correct them cause its not cool and im sure they wouldn't be proud to ask a question and receive a bunch of insults, they also get upvotes for calling people $#*!ed and judging other people and their family. Its almost like an app where you ask questions and Instead of answers you get insults and they get credit. I also need to get rid of things at times I get once something is asked they want it to be open to everyone but as the author who wrote the question we should have a right to delete it at all times especially if the question is not what it's supposed. Cause eventually stuff will cut up if something isn't able to disappear and eventually someone would get hurt but my main complaint is not letting us delete or edit answers cause its just gonna lead to more insults just cause people wanna act popular and as they see other users do it they have no problem doing the same especially for upvotes. At the end of the day I'm asking myself why am I even still using this garbage literally every question I have had life has immediately gave me the answer. I just enjoy hearing other's opinions but there isn't any other app to ask questions after days of research so I really need to just let life continue to answer even if it has to repeat itself eventually I will learn. Cause im over with people wanting to look like a legend just for insulting someone who's just looking for an answer. Lastly people are entirely racist literally they do not need to be on this app cause this is probably the most racist out of all apps I have used and I have used a lot of apps so If I could I would definitely give -5 stars so Prayer they fix this in the future cause for me at least" Quora is a no no and I hope to remember that.

No Neutrality, seems to prefer to censor answer to questions that are not center-left and prefers to give voice to leftist, pro radical extremists.

I used to use Quora back when I was in still in high school in 2017 and have encounter some really good and somewhat helpful advice to questions from "Why is the school system so broken in america" to "What is there to look at a used car? Should I take it to a mechanic to have it look at it thoroughly?" for me. It was mainly the own user experiences in life and generally want to help people to get some decent guidance if you're lost... But now in 2023+?

Dear god, I can't believe Quora is still a functional website. From the start when everyone was on lock-down in 2020 I believe that was the time when Quora was starting to go downhill for all the people who was stuck at home and just making some garbage questions/answers to pass the time. Mildly funny questions that just came down to common sense to just mind-numbing dumb questions that is so unimportant that it's just only used to farm money or likes. Yes, you heard that right and this isn't a joke, you can make money off of Quora by simply making questions/answers of any kind regardless of quality. This basically filled the website with pointless $#*! garbage Q/A "What did you eat for breakfast this morning?" and "What meme did you see on your facebook today?" that it's really obvious that these people just want to make money as little effort as possible... And they don't even get that much from it at all. The most you can make from just one post is around $20, and that's with million of users viewing it and getting the word out there which rarely happens. And that is JUST ONE question post. On average for a question post I read that you make less than 10 cents per post due to the sheer amount of garbage post that is made everyday to meet the quota for some users who will do anything to make a profit. And Quora don't even care.

Oh! I almost forgot that Quora have their own set of premium as well called "Quora+" and it's $#*!ing abysmal feature. They lock answers behind a paywall when most of the answers on that website IS from user experience for free, and I noticed that some people answers from YEARS before Quora+ was a thing was free to view till it got sadly locked by Quora themselves making me delete my account that I had with them... Twice. It is total BS when I have to PAY to see a previous answer that was FREE to view before this baffling decision by the Quora team.

Add-on the trolls who don't give a crap for the website at all, the people who migrated to Yahoo answers when that shutted down and all the angry people who seem to be touchy with religion, Politics and somehow sports than you get a website that is just a total train-wreck to even watch with people IN it getting all mangled, deformed and just decapitated for a website that should be helpful for people who need a bit of guidance in life. Avoid this $#*! at all cost!
