I think people should have the right to exercise their freedom of speech amendment. Quora violates it
Quora has blogging feature. It allows to create blogs. Quorans give good answers. I am satisfied and I enjoy using Quora.
So quora seems to have gotten this:
Increase the user engagement by encouraging questions, even if they are trolls.
I had a lot of enthusiasm when I joined quora, then I realised there's some deity praising ritual that happens there, and then there are waste troll questions.
To think of an answer for a question takes up time, and quora moderators in their infinite wisdom delete them. Bummer!
In fact, a girl got racist, and when I opposed her, Brilliant Quora Moderators deleted my answer. I appealed but no action was taken. Next day, I saw again one of my answers collapsed. If this can happen to one of my answers, and comments, it can happen to my others answers as well. I don't have any time to write answers, only to be deleted. So I have deleted my account and I'm not going back to that hellhole.
Typical example of questions:
1. What does Mr. X think about Blue Blood on Quora? (X graces with an answer, and everyone goes stoned)
2. Is it okay to eat our own children as stews? Or, should they be only fried? (Some wise guy will come up with an explanation on how famine induces cannibalism and it's okay to have children as dinner).
3. How much is 2 + 1? Someone will solve it with multivariate probability and calculus with thermodynamics theory, and will receive 13 billion votes.
4. I wanted to crack IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) but got into MIT (Massachussets Institute of Technology). Should I join? (Someone will tell how IIT > MIT and why he should drop).
5. How is Modi different from Trump? Or, Why does Trump have his daughter but not wife as first lady? (some Trump bashing)
Conclusion: Stay away from this murk.
Today I discovered an alarming subject I wasn't aware of which is the Grand Solar Minimum. After watching a 1:33 presentation by a very plausible expert scientist from Sweden I believe, I was rather shocked to find the evidence clearly shows the fact we are at the end of an inter-glacial period and the inescapable onset of another ice age for the planet within 20 years. So I set out to find verification of this if possible on a platform controlled by Goo gle. My first pick to research the topic was Quora. This answers I saw were all fluff and assured it will be a "little colder" BUT STILL not enough to offset "global warming". Hmmm. So I posed questions on other controversial subjects for which abundant evidence exists to refute the official narrative such as the neuro-toxicity of fluoride, geoengineering, GMO crops, nanotech, microwave/RF radiation effects on the mind and body etc for which I have invested 100s of hours of learning and discerning the good info from the bad. The site is clearly 1 sided and as stated by others here it is pretentious and as objective as CNN or Fox. My urge to object and set the record straight so to speak led me to the Registration page where I actually read the TOS. After reversing the site's intrusion into my Goo gl account info I stepped back and looked outside for some objective info asking is Quora to be trusted and found my answer here. Thank you. PS: I do agree there is some very interesting info there but based on the topics I'm researching Truth is scarce... so where to look Now.?
No Privacy. Quora will monitor your cookies and browsing history even if you are not logged in, they will not respect you unsubscribing from emails.
I went through dozens of threads and noticed horrible abuse by the admins on the site Quora, comments removed by people who where prosecutors, attorneys, judges and the motive was clearly to animate what only quora wants people to think and believe, mostly to convince the public to accept political crimes, crimes against humanity and information that may lead to indictments of criminals.
Let me give you an example, anyone who says anything in the lines of information that would deliberately expose offenses against children (lets say a pedophile) will have their accounts blocked, receive notices of abuse etc., all they have to say is something like in the State of NY you have to so and so age to report an abuse... the comment will be removed, yet comments that are opinionated to convince the public what the law is based on interpretation is not removed.
The site supports the cruel psychopathic hedge fund investment bankers such as G. Soros, Padesta, Clinton and other networks that have already been exposed for abuses by journalists...
Besides political agendas the site promotes certain products and deliberately removes threads that expose any truthful information about the products that maybe negative., in general the site is criminal, its a good idea exploited for political and propaganda purposes in a perverse manner.
There have been comments where admins deliberately admitted that the site is a pro Soros site out to target the public, their opinions and control any information that may lead certain political channels into indictments, including FBI and other agencies on every level, this is not normal... there is already protocols put in place to prevent the exploitation of information and abuse of using internet as a political tool.
Sites offering free services should not be allowed to fish for information, target members of the public and filter everything in their own interests, other wise the site should be private, hidden from the public all together and identified as a group (KKK, Investment bank gang, whatever). Criminals should not use websites to exploit honest people.
When I first hear about the website is a communist website ran by CCP, I thought that it's a lot of balloony from people who like to blow things out of proportion. Internet being what it is today when people disagreeing with you can be called a nazi, it's hard to take that kind of statement seriously anymore. But I realized something interesting recently after some digging. Obviously I can't confirm CCP involvement but if people say this website holds communist agenda, I think it holds some water. At this point I won't even be surprised if a lot of power users turned out to be secretly commies, at least in ideology.
You see in communism people have to be the "good commie" to be exempted from punishment. For anyone to live peacefully in a commie state you don't have to have merit or contribute to anything, you only have to blindly follow the rules as mandated from state. Freedom of speech is non-existent, and there are narratives and statements everyone has to keep in mind or memorize about the commie manifesto and what have you. One wrong step, and you will get either humiliated in public, blamed for disrupting public order for speaking up to yourself or sent to exile camps. Ring any bells yet? Just replace the word 'good commie' and commie with 'good Quoran' and Quora and the manifesto as 'BNBR' and you see the puzzle pieces magically piece together by itself.
Don't get fooled though, some of these people often pay lip service about freedom of speech, democracy and what have you to give the impression they're all about fairness and equality. But as some have said, action speaks louder than words and you only have to look at the evidence with sober eyes to see what type of behavior resembles what kind of ideology in practice.
Basically, no matter how good of a person you are, if you're not a good Quoran, you won't be there for too long. Does it sound familiar? Like you've heard about that somewhere?
Quora users are copying a significant amount of Stack Exchange questions to Quora, without permissions.
Don't dare challenge the admins. They block anything they don't agree with. Boom. You're gone. Banned. Pathetic.
Answer: Yes, the questions about penis size and virginity seems to sponsor endless discussion!
Answer: Because Google put Quora answers at the top of their search results when people search for a question they see the answer from Quora. Which is stupid because most answers on Quora aren't even correct lol. Idk why Google wants to promote that site, if they own it or they want to buy it and incorporate it into Google at some point. I think the site is awful and it should be shut down because it's just a propaganda site. You do not see Quora from any other search engine for example duckduckgo. But you see it in Google.
Answer: No, it is obviously leftist but it does on occasion allow questions or replies for short periods of time that are obviously uncomfortable to the "politicaly correct" crowd in a useless attempt to appear unbiased.
Answer: I honestly feel and highly suspect from certain traits that Quora pays Google to be high on the rank and they get *buddy buddy* with the government. Quora is essentially too big to fail. We no longer have capitalism but now live under governmentism which Trump pledges to end but can he? Does he really mean what he says? That is the million $ question.
