This is a great learning experience. I am a singer and the first three months of piano teaching changed the way I write songs. I was able to use chords on the piano to get my melody to lyrics and then was able to record it in my phone and pass my ideas to the band I sing in. We were in the studio in January and the song Ballad of the Boy has been written with all orchestral arrangements. Now I'm enjoying learning the piano techniques and aim to play live on stage within a year. Im actually putting in at least an hour a day.

Be honest with yourself. When was the last time you learned something that 1) you find joy in and 2) choose to do repeatedly? Most people stumble a bit on the 2. Stephen does what he can to provide you the guidance, but the DO belongs to you.

I'm so glad I took this course. I couldn't find where I could take this course without going for a degree yet get a good understanding of it. When I found this course I immediately jumped into it and have not regret it. I have learned so much. It has finally answered many of the questions I had. I've been taking piano private lessons for 4.5 years and I knew something was missing. Because I didn't have any music theory background except the bits and pieces I read in the internet I always felt that the lack of knowledge of music theory put a damper in my lessons. To finally have an understanding of it has made all the difference in my private lessons. So much has now fallen into place. I'm so grateful for this course. I recommend it to everyone interested in becoming a better musician.

I am a definitely a senior citizen and I never had a piano lesson before signing up for Stephen's classes. We happened to have a quite neglected piano in the house. Three months ago, I was depressed and exhausted from caring for a loved one who was unwell. One day Stephen, with all his bounce and verve, showed up on my screen, inviting me to attend the Sunday live presentation. It took handwringing and several calls, plus many readings of Trustpilot reviews, but finally I did sign up. It was an act of faith, but I was desperate for something to lift my spirits.
I embraced the program and I have never let a day pass without playing, following Stephen's guidelines. Of course I feel proud of my progress, but I am even more thrilled by the increased joy and energy I feel every day, knowing that no matter what happens, I can learn and play music! My husband has enjoyed my playing so much that he surprised me with a magnificent new piano at New Year's. -He doesn't mind even if I'm just playing scales!

Program starts at the bottom for those that literally know little or nothing about music. If you want to know allot more about music this could be a good course for you. Of course the reason to pay the large amount asked for this course is to learn how to play piano. That being said it does take work and I believe some level of talent. The methodology suggested by Ridley could certainly save some time but (imo) there is no substitute for focused, regular practice on the right things. I'm not at that level yet but hopefully will be soon and I'll see some good results that will motivate me to continue.

I do question the "guarantee" provided. I think it stipulates that you have to complete the course before it will be recognized. If that is true you have to go through allot to get your money back. I doubt ANYONE has ever had their money returned.

So time will tell for the many that purchased this program as to how many will actually finish the program and feel that they can play piano at the level they anticipated when they purchased the program. I think if you have some level of talent and are truly driven you can learn to play the piano with this program however, I think many will fall by the wayside as playing piano is not as easy as they make it seem no matter the "system"!

Learning to play the piano is a journey especially Online, and requires a lot of patience and perseverance especially if you are a beginner such as myself, and Stephen is an Excellent and a Thoughtful Educator.

I was skeptical, to be sure. But the Academy has been a great experience for me so far. Definitely better than I though on the onset.
