My objective for writing this review is to share my personal experience with ordering from RightStuf, and perhaps convince those who are on the fence about trying this online retailer (like I used to be) to give it a shot.
(Note: I live near Toronto, and I ordered 19 manga volumes last Aug 13,2018)
I'll admit that I had some apprehensions about ordering from RightStuf because I've seen that its reviews are divided in websites like this one. But in Twitter, I've read more positive experiences. Bottomline: I took a leap of faith (haha) and decided to see for myself. Overall, I had a very pleasing experience when I ordered for the first time from them.
1.) Quick order fulfillment
I thought that my order will be delivered in 2 weeks, but it only took 4 days. In its website, they said that picking and packing will take at most 2 business days (after I placed the order), while shipping to Canada is estimated to be between 5-7 business days. But like I said, the whole process only took 4 days.
I placed my order on a Monday night (Aug 13). On the following day (Tues), at noon, I got an email notifying me that my order has already been picked and packed. On Wed afternoon, my order has been picked up by FedEx, and on Friday (Aug 17), at 10 am, it was delivered to my home.
It must be noted, though, that I ordered in August - after their month-long birthday sale in July, so maybe their workload is less compared to their peak periods. Also, the volumes that I ordered are relatively old, and so the chances of them becoming out-of-stock after I placed my order are very slim. With these, because Aug was presumably not a busy time, and my books are in stock, their order fulfillment was fast.
2.) The books are in great condition
I have very high standards (OC standards haha) when it comes to my books' condition, and I was very surprised that 16 of 19 of what I ordered met my high expectations. The 3/19 were still in good shape, but it's just that they have minor defects like scratches which I find slightly bothersome. In other words, for the average person, all of them were in great condition.
Their packaging is great. They wrapped the items with a brown paper material, and they put some cardboard on the sides of the box which act as cushion/extra protection. And they placed more of the brown paper on top. I wish they put some additional layer at the bottom which I think is the weakest side, but like I said, my books arrived fine.

The only downside from my experience is that, since I ordered from Canada, the USD-CAD exchange rate is not so favorable right now, and so it was like paying for the books at their full retail price plus tax here or maybe more (Obviously, this is already beyond RightStuf's control). But I didn't really mind because some of the items I bought were hard to find anywhere else.
Overall, I had a great experience when I ordered from them. Hopefully, this review will be of some help for those thinking about trying RightStuf. :)
