The site does restrict photos uploaded. I cannot blame them, some of the stupid stuff people up load especially for a dating site is amazing. In effect you can only upload pictures of you without animal, and with clothing on. This is a very good thing. Down side is if you have a have dog or pet, or hobby is horseback riding, no pictures of that. However read on.

It is very much just okcupid.com with an international focus. There are many scammers on the site. Mostly women profiles, but I have heard of a few bad men on the site. Russiancupid does not monitor who joins and you can report scammers. But it is far to easy to sign up for a free account. You have to paid for the site if you want two way communication. Free accounts cannot communicate with each other, which is the best way to filter out the scammers on the site.

It is fully IMBRA compliant, but I do not think that it even needs to be, as it operates much like a USA dating site would. It really does not have any customer service to speak of.

Ones I sign up to that site, after 2 days I was deactivates manager reply to my letter and said that I have to confirm location and tell them I use it from phone or from computer, which browser I have and a lot of other information like this. I replied all questions, they say replied again, said I should use site from other browser because Chrome block them, it was interesting why it block them? All people know Chrome browser block only different scam. So, they say about my browser and asked I send them scam of my passport. I sent them my passport and they replied me again - we will not reactivate you in this reason. In what reason? I wasted couple days to reply their questions, I sent them my passport for what? From that time site don't accept my profiles, I already tried to sign up couple times, one day to create account - other day I am deactivated. I think they create fake from my photos and passport and talk against me on their site but as I can't sign up there - I can't check it.

I have met 2 very sweet women on the site and I continue to talk to one of them. However I also met another one who was successful in scamming me out of about $2000. This person is Vera Efanova of Omsk, Russia. On her profile she claimed to be from Volgograd which should have been a big red flag. However I started communicating with her and we seemed to hit it off. We even spoke on the phone several times as her English was good enough that we didn't need the translation services that most others need in order to communicate in English. We planned to have her fly to the US so we could meet. The first visit was scheduled and I paid for her flight. Then she claimed she was attacked by her boss at a party (she is a trauma nurse) and then she lost her job when she refused his advances. The next trip was plsnned but this time since she had no job we had to pay $3000 for travelers checks which is required by the Russian Embassy if you don't have a job. So I paid half and she supposedly paid the other half. The trip was set and she claimed to get to Moscow but as she was going thru Customs she was stopped because of a ring she was wearing and now she needed $3900 or they might put her in jail. I refused to give her anymore money and have not heard back since. She was helped by a guy named Trestin Fedor at Amigo Tours. He actually received the money I sent. So while there are some nice sincere ladies on there (the one I still talk to are from the Ukraine) beware of the con artists like Vera Efanova.

Alright guys, I just finished a 3 month Gold membership. Here's what I found out, There are many real beautiful girls on the website, I met one very pretty girl who I chatted with years ago on another site (badoo) so I knew she was real, but we didn't work out after all. Met many other pretty girls and we added each other as friends on Facebook and VK, They were legit.
But there are quite a few scam profiles on the site too, I report them and the site always bans them shortly after & they send you an email letting you know they banned the person.

Alright guys, Tips on how to spot the scammers-
1: They will send you the 1st letter saying something like "Hi you caught my attention, write me your email and I will send you my photos.
2: They will write a letter saying something like "Hi how are you" And after you reply, they then go again with the 'I'm not here often, write me your email, and I will send you my photos".
Do NOT EVER give them your email but report them to the site as a scam.

As another reviewer said-Right click on the little image preview of the girls photo, view image, copy address bar of the image, go to google images & click on the camera icon on the right side of the search bar & paste the address of the girls image in there and search. That way you can see if they are using fake photos of actresses or models etc. And you can see if they have a legit account on VK etc.

Overall, I met many more real beautiful women on this site then the free one's like fdating, Russian-Dating etc.

I recommend the site, just be very careful especially with girls on there aged 25-34 which is the age most scammers go with.

Good luck all!

Russian Cupid sent me a free trial for 48 hours. I thought great I will check it out see if anyone is real and maybe give it a chance again. Perhaps I misjudged them in the past. WRONG! Again I did not activate my offer, I signed into the site once on my own. Two days later I receive and email telling me that my free trial offer had expired, Naturally, I brought this to their attention. I was told the following...

"Dear member,

Thank you for contacting us.

Please be advised that the 48 hours free trial offer is valid for 7 days and starts
Counting from the time you take up the offer by logging into your profile or
Clicking on the link in the email we sent you.

Our record shows that the free trial was offer to you on October 13th and was
Accepted and started on October 13th. It has then expired on October 15th.

If you wish to continue enjoying the premium benefits after the free trial, you can
Upgrade your membership by clicking the green "Upgrade Now!" button."

Again I did not accept or start the offer. I wrote them at least two or three times and they began to patronize me basically saying " We are sorry and we understand, consider upgrading to a full membership today.

Their people are complete liars that do not care about their customers. And their customer service really sucks. Most companies under similar conditions would simply offer the free trial instead of risking alienating a potential customer, but not these bozos. I had no reason to lie about activating my membership and they should be able to check my account and see that my activity during te so called free membership trial was minimal. Completely ridiculous! So I decided to report them as I told them I would, because they do not honor what they say. This company appears to be a complete scam! Stay away from all Cupid.com sites.

I sign up on July 4 2018 on the website russiancupid.com and I don't even had a picture of my profile and I start getting messages from girls. After day 2 a girl with a name Daria send me her e-mail and told me to keep in touch. I wrote her and she said she was from Kaluga, Russia. I start sending messages back and foward. After a month she told me she wanted to meet me but she only had $800 and she needed $1000 to pay for everything else. I told her to skype and she had excuses. One day she called me with a private number and other day she skype to me but she claimed that her microphone was not working. She gave me her cellphone but I call and she never asnwer. Everything was weird. At the end I was able to find where she was because I am a hacker. And she was a liar because she was in Plodviv, Bulgary. I never sent money. Please never send money to this people because they are just trying to scam and they say that they feel love and everything is bull$#*!. I am attaching the picture of the scammer.

We do our best to remove these people from our site, deleting any profiles showing dubious photos or information, as soon as we see them, however, we also rely on our valued members who kindly report to us any suspect or fake profiles they find on our site.
In addition, Our fraud prevention team works 24/7 to remove non-genuine profiles. If you would like to report a suspicious profile, please submit a ‘report abuse’ form or contact us at www.russiancupid.com/en/help/helpdesk
