One of the worst apps ever it seems like the app wants to screw the students so they get bad grade.
DO NOT GET
It doesn't load it doesn't show if you really answered a question and i hate it it should be delted on evry computer
I'm currently using this source as an online history textbook, and I couldn't be more infuriated at how inconvenient the UI is. First, I have to open thousands of tabs to even access a textbook section, and then when I hover over one of the keywords for my notes they're in Spainsih? It honestly seems like Savvas is trying to punish users for wanting an ounce of convenience. It's either I bring a 2-pound textbook from school to home, or manually type in text from the textbook (because Savvas doesn't allow copy and paste, god forbid students copy down things for notes) to google translate one by one. All I want to do is write my history notes quickly.
I cannot believe Savvas Realize site is "award winning! " First of all, the site is so piece meal. You have to go through so many clicks and open everything separately and you cannot hit the x to get out of things like all other sites. You have to click the back button and go back through each page until you get to what you want. To open the teacher or student edition, you have to open a different page. Each time you hit any button or open anything, it shows you those circling dots! I have lost so much time from my life trying to navigate this site. I, as a teacher, could be using that precious time doing something else. In addition, there are so many things that are computer only! For example, the quick checks are only online! They do not even provide you with a book with them. The only convenience is that it corrects things on line, however, kids need to do those on paper so we can go over it. Otherwise they do it and then never go back to it and cannot see their mistakes. And the way question are stated in the book and especially on the tests is so difficult and confusing. It sets kids up for failure! Are we testing kids on the concept we just taught them, or on reading and trying to figure out what is being asked. Our teachers were given the choice to go back to the old book or do this newest version of Savvas Mathematics (Envision) and most grade levels are currently using the old math series. Definitely go with another publisher if you can. You will have much more planning time for other things.
I read a lot of these reviews and at first was agreeing with everyone's sentiment that savvas is terrible. I am experiencing everything you are. Then I thought about it, I have used this for 5 years...Why have I used it so long if it is that bad? 1. cause the school I work for pays for it lol. But 2. I need examples of the math subject I am teaching. There are certain topics I know to stay away from but there are topics I have no idea how to relate to real world examples. This does a great job at that. I will agree the online component is annoying at times because the answer will be 1100 for example and Ill have a student see on their calculator 1`100 and put it in and get the wrong answer. That's frustrating for me and them. Also some of the wording is bad but overall a solid product that can help guide you when it comes to what you should and could teach and in which order.
The website keeps telling me that something went wrong and won't let me complete my assignments. I also can't finish some of them because it makes you "interact" with them and even after I read everything and answered all the questions, it says I didn't complete them.
I can't think of a time were I didn't go home and cry. My teacher teaches the topic great, but then Savvas just makes it ten times harder. Last night, I spent two hours crying because I couldn't understand how it was even remotely similar to what he taught me. Feeling very suicidal because of my grades dropping because of Savvas. 0/10 kill me pls
Literally the worst website to ever exist for students. Khan Academy was terrible for me, but in this case, I'd rather use it for the rest of my life than deal with this bull$#*! excuse of a 'learning program.'
Once I found out how much my school paid for it ($50 a student, per grade) I expect the structural upkeep and the purchase of new servers and better staff to be initialized. You can absolutely afford the beefiest servers available to handle all the clients you're scamming out of their money, instead of having them wait 15 seconds to load the simplest, underdone, $#*!ty HTML coding I have EVER seen, the site I'm writing this on is more developed. You can also hire better staff that don't have less IQ than a 2nd grader.
Staff is terrible. All of them. Customer service, refunds, even the higher up positions. They are ALL terrible people, and shouldn't be working there.
The answer system also pisses literally everyone off. My 8th grade math teacher would rather use IXL (still terrible) There is only one correct answer. If you write 2.25, it'll be like, no, it's 2 1/4, $#*! you. And if you write 4.5, it'll say you're wrong you stupid $#*!, it's 04.500.
I am a teacher of multiple math and science subjects. When I am trying to create a lesson plan and need to use the online textbook, I can count on it to be glitchy and show the spinning wheel of death. The practice problems they create for students (geometry especially) are horrible and 9 times out of 10, I wouldn't even think of assigning them to my students. I go online and find some other worksheet instead because their content is so awful. It's generic public school garbage but worse. I have to use these things embedded in Canvas and I don't wish that on anyone.
Savvas is one of the worst websites I have ever used. It causes an insane level of frustration. I have almost broken my computer because of savvas. It will make you lose points on a test because of its stupid grading technique. I have lost over 10 points because I forgot to add the 0 in 7.5 XD.
The questions period don't make sense. They are unclear and annoying- making kids dread schoolwork because of the site. ANYTHING would be better. It makes assignments that are meant to take 30 mins end up taking an hour and a half. Savvas sucks.
Savvas Realize is most likely the worst "learning" website I've ever come across and will ever come across as a middle school student. A truly bland and horrendous website with words smaller than a singular extra-fine grain of sand. I am sadly forced to use this monstrosity every day in my ELA class and I despise every nanosecond of it.
THiS wEbSiTe Is OfFeNsIvE nOw Im CaLlInG cOrPoRaTe. Okay the website just really sucks and i hate it
Savvas Realize is the worst rated math app for schools not only do my teachers hate using it, but also other friends of mine at other schools. Kids HATE using it!
This website is bull$#*! don't $#*!ing use it. It $#*!ing sucks. It's so laggy one time I posted a comment and it didn't load then deleted itself.
That's to the creators of this $#*!ty website.
My math teacher uses it, and it is very annoying to use. We never get explained how to do an assignment. We are told to figure things out with this website and it doesn't tell us how to do anything, and our teacher doesn't either.
Incredibly glitchy, constantly getting lagged out. GORE images? Children use this website and they're showing animals being ripped apart? Would not recommend. There's also for some reason a math version and a friend of mine who uses it HATES it! Teachers please heed my warning and don't let students suffer like I do! I'd like to add that it's also really boring and just a waste of time since I barely learn anything from it either. I'd rather be using a textbook because at least then you might get something out of it. (PLEASE DISREGARD THE ATTACHED PHOTO I DON'T WANT THE ALGORITHM TO IGNORE THIS POST!)
This website is terrible and unreliable. It deletes my progress when I'm not even done. I recommend to people to NOT take this website as their source for their work. #terrible
It is almost as bad as IXL. It gave us 20% on the exam while the teacher told us our actual score was 90%. You accidentally click on the space bar, your answer becomes incorrect. Sometimes when you click on the text box it puts it halfway above the screen. And worse of all, it takes all the lesson just loading and what you get is a scream from your teacher in your face. Trust me. Don't believe a parent saying it's good, they're probably the company owner's wife.

Hello I'm Micheal. M the Savvas Realize representative. I'm sorry to hear about your experience but have you considered that you are just horrible at math? Our program is award winning and one of the best and we suggest you get a tutor.
