I've inquired about every book on our book shelf including Barack Obaba's A Promised Land. Every book--more than 100--were rejected. I imagine they do buy books, just not best sellers.
They took my book and ran with it giving me the only option sell my book at $0.00
Avoid this company at all costs. I just reported to BBB.
I sent a Dvd, brand new, cello wrapped, they said it was in poor condition, one dvd a turn around from them, several books poor condition, all perfect. All to not pay me $10.00
I have sent "Sell Back My Book" company two books on two different occassions. The first one they told me they would not accept due to the condition. That was understandable as I had lots of highlights and writing in the book. I choose to recycle the book.
HOWEVER, the second book was sent to them and it had NO underlining, NO highlights. The book was only used for a 7 week class and I purchased it brand new and it had hardly no damage. "Sell Back My Book" sent me a message that it was "not in very good condition". The book looked almost new! I purchased it new. There was not writing or highlighting in the book. I was very careful with the book to keep it pristine. That assessment was VERY INCORRECT. I have requested that the company return my book. They charge a small return fee, which is okay but I do not trust this company. There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with that book. Now I'm only hoping they will truly return the book. I wish I had taken a picture of the book before I mailed it, as I would have proof on here of how good the condition was! This company is a rip off! I do NOT recommend them.
Update 4/6/2020 - After paying a $3.99 fee, they did return my book as requested. I received my book back in the same condition as it was mailed. However, I will not use this company in the future. I took a picture of the cover and have included that in this review.
Do NOT use this site! They will scam and take your books and will never send you money. I still have not received any payment for my books. I would not recommend sellbackyourbook.com
They have implemented a $5 charge for shipping when you sell books/dvds to them.
However it states this nowhere on their website.
Don't waste your time. Try eaglesaver.com or decluttr.com
Don't do it, it seems legit when you go to sellyourbooksback.com website everything looks REAL they even give up update emails once you put in your books information, i spoke to two different people by email and they never answer any of my question about my paypal they purposely answer what they felt like answering instead of my main concerns were am i going to get paid, the had two different amount once i check the status once $18 plus change then when i did it a 2nd time it went from $19 i asked which would i get paid they informed me the most recent one ok, but my package was delivered a Wednesday it's now the next week and i still have yet to get paid and i don't think they would pay me, I should've came here to read the reviews before i drop off these good freakin books. DON"T do it I'm try to report them BBB DONT DO IT SELL YOUR BOOKS ELSEWHERE SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM! Company
I sent them some books. This one was new and I got this message from them: "Sembrava bellezza -- We could not accept because it is not in very good physical condition." Obviously, it is not true.
Nothing I can do about it. I took them to the post office and they say they didn't receive. Do not trust.
In addition to advertising that they buy textbooks, this company operates a used bookselling operation under the name "Good Deals on Used Books" on Biblio.com. I should have noticed that they had a low rating for their fulfillment on Biblio, but I didn't think to look, and ordered from them via the Biblio marketplace. Big red flags when the package arrived - instead of the book I ordered and paid for, they sent me a crappy worthless bestseller that obviously came out of a garage sale penny bin. It arrived without a real receipt, just a paper slip with a bar code and number and "sellbackyourbooks.com" on it. I wouldn't even have realized it was the same company as Good Deals on Used Books if I hadn't noticed that their customer service e-mail on Biblio *******@sellbackyourbooks.com. No return label or instructions or anything like that. I alerted them and Biblio to the "mistake," and they said if I returned the book by mail they would refund me, or I could keep the book for a 20% refund. I told them I would prefer to receive the correct book, but I suspect they never had it in stock, and their scam is sending people junk books they didn't order, hoping that people won't want the huge inconvenience of going to the post office in the middle of a global pandemic and won't want to bother with returning them. Eventually they sent me a printable return label via e-mail - no help for me since I don't have a printer or shipping supplies. Super sketchy and these people come across as scammers. Thankfully Biblio finally refunded my payment, and I recommended to Biblio that they ban these people from their marketplace. We'll see. Anyway, I recommend staying far away from them. (And when you're on Biblio, definitely check the seller rating before ordering anything!)
Answer: I just received a book from them that was a total piece of shit. Don't buy from them.
Answer: I and many others hate these people. They prey on desperate college students who are trying to sell books they don't need and then make you pay to get the book back if they reject it (and they definitely will for no reason). I haven't heard one success story and they will steal your book because you can't afford to pay them to send it back.
sellbackyourBook.com has a rating of 1.8 stars from 52 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. sellbackyourBook.com ranks 93rd among Textbooks sites.
