I just received a book in the worst condition that I have ever seen. It's completely warped, had the former student's post it notes sticking out of (WTF?) and look like it was dropped in a puddle and then run over by a car. It's embarrassing that a company would even send out a product like this.
Nothing I can do about it. I took them to the post office and they say they didn't receive. Do not trust.
In addition to advertising that they buy textbooks, this company operates a used bookselling operation under the name "Good Deals on Used Books" on Biblio.com. I should have noticed that they had a low rating for their fulfillment on Biblio, but I didn't think to look, and ordered from them via the Biblio marketplace. Big red flags when the package arrived - instead of the book I ordered and paid for, they sent me a crappy worthless bestseller that obviously came out of a garage sale penny bin. It arrived without a real receipt, just a paper slip with a bar code and number and "sellbackyourbooks.com" on it. I wouldn't even have realized it was the same company as Good Deals on Used Books if I hadn't noticed that their customer service e-mail on Biblio *******@sellbackyourbooks.com. No return label or instructions or anything like that. I alerted them and Biblio to the "mistake," and they said if I returned the book by mail they would refund me, or I could keep the book for a 20% refund. I told them I would prefer to receive the correct book, but I suspect they never had it in stock, and their scam is sending people junk books they didn't order, hoping that people won't want the huge inconvenience of going to the post office in the middle of a global pandemic and won't want to bother with returning them. Eventually they sent me a printable return label via e-mail - no help for me since I don't have a printer or shipping supplies. Super sketchy and these people come across as scammers. Thankfully Biblio finally refunded my payment, and I recommended to Biblio that they ban these people from their marketplace. We'll see. Anyway, I recommend staying far away from them. (And when you're on Biblio, definitely check the seller rating before ordering anything!)
I've sold books to this company for a few years, and have always been satisfied. They pay what they quote and my check arrived in a timely manner. A few times, one of my books didn't meet their standards,(understandably so) and they offered to send it back. It's the best.
I sent in my textbook and they said there wasn't anything in the box I sent. I sent it via UPS and there was weight to the box but they couldn't care less. They 100% stole my book to profit off of me. Do not buy or sell from these scum.
I have sent "Sell Back My Book" company two books on two different occassions. The first one they told me they would not accept due to the condition. That was understandable as I had lots of highlights and writing in the book. I choose to recycle the book.
HOWEVER, the second book was sent to them and it had NO underlining, NO highlights. The book was only used for a 7 week class and I purchased it brand new and it had hardly no damage. "Sell Back My Book" sent me a message that it was "not in very good condition". The book looked almost new! I purchased it new. There was not writing or highlighting in the book. I was very careful with the book to keep it pristine. That assessment was VERY INCORRECT. I have requested that the company return my book. They charge a small return fee, which is okay but I do not trust this company. There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with that book. Now I'm only hoping they will truly return the book. I wish I had taken a picture of the book before I mailed it, as I would have proof on here of how good the condition was! This company is a rip off! I do NOT recommend them.
Update 4/6/2020 - After paying a $3.99 fee, they did return my book as requested. I received my book back in the same condition as it was mailed. However, I will not use this company in the future. I took a picture of the cover and have included that in this review.
Company is a ripoff that steals book and cheated me out of payment. They never paid me. They lied saying a book was in terrible condition. Book was in good condition sending it in. I wrote a email respond of how they cheated me out of item. They send a worthless robotic generic message. They have poor communication. I won't be sending no more books to that company. Worst company ever that is taking advantage of people. I was smart in never giving my other textbooks that was worth way more.
They charged shipping to people who wants their books backs. The company should ship back books free of charge that they weren't going to buyback. They offer very low buyback for books that worth more money. They couldn't even offer more for those but cents. They resell them for more money on other sites.
The company was also known as EZ Book Recycle
Better off selling them or donating yourself.
I entered the ISBN number and received quotes from several companies buying books. I used two of them. This site offered the most money for one book that others offered significantly less. I therefore selected them and mailed off the books. The other site had the books processed and paid within a week. Sellbackyourbook took almost 3 weeks to get back to me and then said they couldn't pay for the one book because the number was wrong. However the other sites also had this exact same book listed so I am not thrilled with losing out the money but it wasn't worth getting it back and trying again.
I recently sold back textbook, used their shipping label, and followed all instructions. A couple weeks later, I got an email that the package they received was empty. I gave them a copy of the tracking # and the form that showed everywhere the package was shipped to before arriving at the final destination, weighing the same amount it weighed when it started on its journey. Obviously, the messed up and somehow lost the books. They never took responsibility for it or apologized just continued on a week long email chain telling me it was my fault. This company is sketchy, I will never use them again!
This site is one of the few that doesn't try to completely low-ball you, compared to other sites. The check will come very timely so you don't have to wait around. Good place to return books

Answer: I just received a book from them that was a total piece of shit. Don't buy from them.
Answer: I and many others hate these people. They prey on desperate college students who are trying to sell books they don't need and then make you pay to get the book back if they reject it (and they definitely will for no reason). I haven't heard one success story and they will steal your book because you can't afford to pay them to send it back.
