I think they get pictures off Facebook and put them on as possible matches... 90% of the matches I would never consider.
Whatever you do, BEWARE of a guy claiming to be Josh Simons from Lexington. He's a scammer and a fake. He claims he's from Australia and lost his wife 5 years ago. This guy IS A FAKE AND SCAMMER.
You match with a lot of profiles but never hear from anyone
So? If all profiles are real
I don't thin there is a lot of people on this site
There is no phone number to call and they do business in the Netherlands.
Do not even get on this site. It's a money suck. And they are a lie...
Customer service no where to be found, good luck if you need help except for your payment!
A definite lack of substance
I can't even get into my account to cancel! I tried contacting them via phone, email, and fax and nobody responds.
There are numerous decent dating sites out there for the over 50s. This is most definitiely not one of them.
I took out a 3 month subsciption and was looking for potential partners in my area. Silver Singles defines this as 'within 50 miles'. Not exactly local -especially when I live very close to London with 9 million inhabitants! Even within a 50 mile radius I was told this search area was too restrictive and this was indeed the case with very few matches unless I wanted to travel a couple of hundred miles!
So choice was poor.
Billing practice however was beyond apalling. Subscriptions renew automatically. However there was no option that i could find to stop this happening -only the option to cancell the service immediately. So on the renewal date, I cancelled. I was then told that they wouldn't accept it (despite no cost to them) because they needed 5 days notice. Many sites send out reminders of upcoming renewal dates. SilverSurfers do not. If you find yourself in this position expect an unhelpful customer service and, increasingly hostile demands for payment for a service you have cancelled and are not using.
Definitely can't think of a single reason to recomend this site.
This is one of the worst dating sites ever. Very few legitimate matches, lots of scammers. Very unfriendly. Save your money!
Do not use!
The program is awful. Customer service hsrd to deal with
DON'T get on auto renewal
Members mostly choose canned answers. EVERYBODY says family, friends, faith, very trife..
Answer: You do not want to sign up to this site for even a minute. They are scammers through and through. They will have no matches for you but will clear your bank account. Please don't join.
Answer: File disputes with your CC company and/or PayPal I am fighting for a refund also report them to anyone that matters we have to get the word out
Answer: YOU BEEN SCAMMED! I PAID ABOUT THE SAME, BUT I WAS ABLE TO SIGN ON AND USE IT. BELIEVE ME, YOU'RE BETTER OFF AS IT'S FULL OF SCAMMERS, MEN POSING AS WOMEN AND WOMEN POSING AS MEN TO GET YOUR $$$. I HAVE 457 "MATCHES" ACCORDING TO THEM. 457? BS
