I relocated from Buffalo, NY lived there my entire life up to 34 & am 35 now) w/ my husband & our 4 daughters down to Tampa, FL. After the struggle of switching everything to here, getting to appts is hard bc my husband works 6 (usually 7) days a week & we share a vehicle. Health Ins. Informed me of Telehealth options, & since Jaunary, I've been using it & have nothing but great experiences with each doctor, each appt. I highly recommend them & don't be concerned w/ privacy at all! Thx Teledoc!
Extremely disappointed! The Dr was extremely rude…although he named all of his achievements and accolades I thought he was going to be the best Dr I ever had in my 62 years of life and have worked in the medical field for 20 years. But, this professional had his head up his rear end. He wanted to telepathically understand me without listening to me, the patient, about my symptoms and rambled on about his thoughts…
On June 12th at 1pm, I paid $75 to Teladoc Health, Inc. for a doctor consultation due to a two-week-long cold that has progressively worsened. During the consultation, I specifically mentioned using nose sprays, cough medicine, and expressed the need for a stronger treatment to alleviate the cold. The doctor acknowledged my request and assured me of ordering a prescription for antibiotics, steroid nasal spray, and additional cough medicine. However, upon attempting to fill the prescription, I discovered that there were no antibiotics included, only over-the-counter medications that I already have. When I reached out to Teladoc Health, Inc. again, they insisted on an additional $75 payment to see a different doctor. Despite explaining my situation as a sick Veteran unable to leave due to the fires in NYC and being on a budget, their response displayed a lack of concern and understanding. I am reaching out for urgent assistance in resolving this matter. I kindly request your intervention to ensure that Teladoc Health, Inc. addresses their failure to provide the promised prescription and their unsatisfactory customer service.
Do not use for mental help. You will not receive a response, it will get canceled or the provider will not show for the appointment.
I have nothing but trouble and long waits with this company. The app and the website keep rejecting login and password (that was saved in my phone from sign up!) as well as security questions that I KNOW are correct and was verified as correct by the agent. I waste more time pacing through their broken system before I can speak to a human than I do talking to a dr.
I ask for a video visit, get a call and the dr doesn't even want to look at the infection, orders a stiff antibiotic. The anti biotic gives me a serious headache and some nausea, so I borrow from my supply of anti nausea Med but I'm running out before the antibiotics are gone. The next dr said go to ER to get tests done because he won't prescribe any anti nausea to finish the course of antibiotics. Second dr says stop taking those if they give you a headache. So what about the phlebitis? Just quit hey? F—-ing genius.
Been told repeatedly not to stop antibiotics in the middle of the course.
I find Teladoc to be frustrating, time consuming, glitchy, and overall unhelpful, but the company seems to insist we talk to them before seeking urgent care.
I don't recommend them. I don't feel ‘cared' for that's for sure.
Tip for consumers:
Teladoc sucks.
THE PEOPLE WITH TELADOC ARE NOT WITH TELADOC THEY ARE WITH NEXREP A WORK AT HOME JOB! THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING THEY DON'T HAVE ANY ABILITY TO HELP YOU WHAT SO EVER THIS IS A SCAM AND A PIECE OF $#*!
They didn't want to give me antibiotics I've had a cough for two weeks they said it was asthma it wasn't. All they want to give me is cough pills that's it or u gotta have a fever. Nonore
This is about Teladoc, not about any providers I've encountered.
Setting appointment: You select your time zone and the available times are displayed. You select one -- and it defaults to CDT no matter what zone you're in. But you don't know that until it confirms your appt. Time in CDT.
Customer support: Seemed great, and the lady took down all the information and seemed interested in helping me reschedule my appointment (since I couldn't figure out how to get it done at the right time in the right timezone), and she said she would escalate the issue to tech services. Well, she didn't reschedule it for me so I had to move other things around on my schedule AND be available in case it was rescheduled and I just wasn't notified.
Site/App: I'm writing this at 12:16 pm on 8/12, and my page still has an invitation to join the waiting room for my appointment that was yesterday at 4:00 pm EDT.
Providers: Here's where they excel. I've had two calls for Rx refills and one nutrition consult. All three providers were excellent.
Was on the phone for 2-3 mins. Was not given any diagnosis or prescribed any meds. $45 no refund! Uh
Generally I always have great experiences with Teladoc, and I am not one to ever complain especially about healthcare providers because I completely understand the stress but this guy was over the top horrible. I'm a travel nurse, I have met and interacted with many doctors during my 15 years of being an RN. The doctor I just encountered from Teladoc was literally the most dismissive, rude, and aggressive physician I have ever interacted with. I've been traveling for 10 years and every time I go to a different climate I always get sick with congestion and allergy type symptoms that ALWAYS turns in to a sinus infection and ear infection. I came to Wisconsin from Tennessee 2 weeks ago to work over the holidays and without fail about 5 days ago I started having symptoms. I started having drainage from my ear that happens literally EVERY SINGLE TIME. I know my body and I know what works but this doctor, after my waiting 8 hours for him to even call me, completely dismissed my concerns, yelled at me, told me I was wrong and that he couldn't do anything for me and for me to go to the Emergency Room. First of all doctors like him are one of the reasons why our ERs are so overwhelmed in this country. He could have easily managed my illness virtually but chose not to and completely refused care. It was like he was offended because I am a nurse advocating for myself. I've experienced this same illness multiple times and I know what helps and what doesn't. Instead of listening to me and taking me serious and having compassion he was incredibly rude, aggressive, dismissive, and honestly mean and intimidating. Men like him do injustice to our healthcare system. If he is that mad about his career then he should find another job. His name is * and I'm assuming he obviously practices In Wisconsin since that's where I am at right now.

So I had a mental health appointment for today at 11 A.M, it was 10:45 when they messaged me to cancel it, you believe that? I've been going THROUGH IT lately & NEEDED that appointment, & they canceled MINUTES before the actual appointment. The first experience I had with the first doctor I spoke with was GREAT, No issues at all helped me ALOT. Then, THIS. I guess it's not even the service or site, not even the place but rather the DOCTOR specifically that you gotta give the bad rating too. Anthony Bell I believe was his name, mental health visit. How unprofessional is that? My anxiety is through the roof so bad I've FELL to the ground from being so WEAK, Heart racing so fast that's why I love telehealth, because it's way easier for me to do. I'm just in shock he canceled minutes before the appointment I mean WOW. That's unreal especially with how bad things have been for me I've been WAITING a few days for this appointment & now I gotta try to squeeze in with a doctor who might actually care.

Pay $75 to talk to a doctor that says you need to go talk to a doctor. Within 30 seconds. For a UTI? Fantastic. I'll tell all my friends
I used this service for the first time because it came highly recommended from colleagues. I didn't want to spend hours in the emergency room so I called them with concerns of strep throat. The first doctor told me that there's a 50/50 chance it's strep, and just to keep an eye on it for now and call back if it gets worse. I called back a few hours later because it did in fact get worse. The second doctor finally prescribed antibiotics but unfortunately they weren't strong enough so my symptoms worsened until I eventually went to the emergency room with completely white tonsils.
After 13 hours at the hospital and the worst pain I've ever had, the HOSPITAL gave me antibiotics and a 7 day prescription. Everything went well until I finished my prescription a few days ago. My throat started hurting again, likely because I needed to be on the antibiotics for a few more days, and I could see a small bit of white left on my tonsils. I called Teladoc to see if they could extend my prescription or refill it, and this doctor was the worst one yet. She immediately asked about my previous appointments with Teladoc, before saying she needed to look at my throat. She FaceTimed me and looked at my throat for half a second in terrible lighting, before saying it looked viral and I just need to gargle some salt water and didn't need antibiotics.
2/3 doctors made me feel like I was just asking for drugs without reason. Someone please explain how I was doing extremely well on antibiotics but as soon as I stopped, my condition started coming back again, but yet I don't need antibiotics?
I don't know how one gets high off antibiotics but maybe ask these doctors because they seem to think that's what's we do. They do nothing but gaslight you and waste your time.

Don't waste your time!
I scheduled an appointment with a doctor about a week out from the appointment date (1/12 at 1:30pm MT). The provider confirmed the date & time worked for her and even re-confirmed she would be joining on time at about 1:00pm MT. 10 minutes before the appointment was supposed to start, I get the invitation to the "waiting room" and joined. I then waited another 30 minutes for the doctor to join and she never did nor did she communicate she was running late or unable to make our appointment. She didn't even end up reviewing my medical chart until 3.5 hours after the appointment start time!
I have reached out 3 times to Teladoc customer service about this to make sure I will not be billed for the missed appointment and have received ZERO communication from them, even though they say they'll follow up within 24 hours and have 24/7 customer service. There are also no ways to communicate with your provider in Teladoc either via the app or on the desktop version, so I can't even ask her to delete the appointment off my dashboard. But the providers can communicate with YOU, though. What a joke and a scam.
When I commented on their Facebook wall (they have it locked down to where you can't comment or review them- you can only comment on their posts), I was told that they're experiencing longer than usual wait times and that if I send them a message, they'll have the next available provider call me. This is unacceptable considering I had a scheduled appointment with a specific provider. This was not a "walk-in" or last-minute request to meet with the next available provider. It was a pre-scheduled appointment that both myself and the provider agreed upon.
TL; DR- Doctor missed my appointment and I have had zero luck getting someone from Teladoc to assist me with making sure I won't be billed for the visit. Save yourself the hassle and try to find a physical doctor. Even with the risk of COVID, at least you'll get seen and won't be ignored.
