I was recommended Teladoc from insurance and it's free me. A psychologist canceled last minute 4 times last minute after I had clicked on Y for yes to confirm my appointment!
One time their site said that she couldn't call for the phone visit at the times I chose so I picked another confirmed time that she could. This is so horrible, uncaring and such an unprofessional irresponsible thing to!
So I picked a new time and a new appointment was confirmed but she never called a fourth time and this was after I called and complained to the Teladoc customer service about this and they weren't that nice about it either!
I asked to file a complaint and I emailed them about it and left a message on their corporate office voice mail, but I never heard from then. I mistakenly tried to try this same psychologist again because when I looked up 3 of their other psychologists they have on their site to talk to,they got bad patient 1 star reviews on several different doctor review sites, she only got 3.
This last time I even brought my cordless phone into my bedroom on my little table right besides my bed so I wouldn't miss the call, and I hadn't slept hardly at all in months and I hadn't slept the night before but I made myself stay awake so I would get the call. I saw on my text message in the morning that my appointment was canceled again!
I called customer service and told a not that nice young woman about this and she claimed that the Dr.wasn't able to reach me, I have read tons of bad reviews for Teladoc including many who had the same thing happen to them by therapists on there and that Teladoc claimed the same bulls*t and I told her that I had my phone right in my room by my bed and that there were no caller ID notifications on my phone either.
The next day I checked my cordless phone's voice mail to see if there was any messages there about her trying to call me but there was none. I finally very mistakenly chose another Teladoc therapist who there aren't any online reviews of, but others just dealt with trauma in addition to other things but none said trauma and abuse so I chose her.
She did call me but I asked her if I can email my extreme horrendous case because it's too painful to explain it all and it's really complicated but she said I can't do that because it would post on the Teladoc site too. I asked her how long we had to talk and she said that this was just an intake for 30 minutes after that it would be 45 minutes.
She wanted to only do the intake interview but I really needed to tell her at least a good amount of details of my horrendous family scapegoat abuse so I told her enough for her to know and understand this, she wasn't a warm therapist from the beginning of the conversation and she incomprehensibly wasn't empathetic towards me,she didn't so what other people including other psychologitsts I have spoken with,How sad,how tragic, you really have an extreme, complicated horrendous case,it's really something that turned out as good as you did etc.
And she hung up on me after about 20-25 minutes! She never called back and I looked on my account the same day to see if there was any notes about this, there wasn't until the next day. And it only said that I need a referral for a in person care.
I had a phone phone appointment with a nutritionist but I was so tired from not sleeping I was asleep when Teldoc called me 3 times.
So I made an appointment with a different nutritionist who I did speak with and she was very nice but we got disconnected after about 15 minutes. She didn't call back but she did leave some links to some helpful nutritional articles on my account.
So I made another phone appointment with the first nutritionist that I missed the calls from, I confirmed my acceptance of this appointment but she never called so I left another complaint on the corporate office's voice mail,so far I haven't heard anything back, and I called and complained to customer service again.
I know Teladoc has a shares tumble over the years after COVID but now their response times are atrocious. Just over the last 2 or 3 days I have tried to reach a provider and have been in the queue for wait times in excess of 2 hours each time, resulting in my abandoning the session. These excessive wait times combined with provider no shows have made this service unusable
The reason why you hate the US wealthcare system is embodied in that garbage teladoc: There is nothing good about this place. Their pseudo doctors don;t even diagnose you but they keep telling you what you have is beyond of what they can do - really? Is bronchitis beyond what you can do and if it is then you should collect canned food you worthless- the government should shut down this business and revoke all their degree mills.
Called in and set appointment. $49 later, Teledoc provider called me back and instructed me to perform home covid test and call back with results. When I did, I was informed that I would need another appointment and another $49 fee to complete my care. This is not about care, only about getting funds from my employer, then ripping me off for additional funds. In the end, in sick at home with no care. Thank you Teledoc, for what I'm sure is your standard of care.
THE PEOPLE WITH TELADOC ARE NOT WITH TELADOC THEY ARE WITH NEXREP A WORK AT HOME JOB! THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING THEY DON'T HAVE ANY ABILITY TO HELP YOU WHAT SO EVER THIS IS A SCAM AND A PIECE OF $#*!
Was prescribed the wrong medication. Had to go to the Emergency room and get the right medication, or it could've turned fatal. Called them to see if they were gonna reimburse me for the lack of responsibility with my life, and they just read the disclaimer and said there's no one I could speak to above them. Go see a real doctor. Waste of $100.
So I had a mental health appointment for today at 11 A.M, it was 10:45 when they messaged me to cancel it, you believe that? I've been going THROUGH IT lately & NEEDED that appointment, & they canceled MINUTES before the actual appointment. The first experience I had with the first doctor I spoke with was GREAT, No issues at all helped me ALOT. Then, THIS. I guess it's not even the service or site, not even the place but rather the DOCTOR specifically that you gotta give the bad rating too. Anthony Bell I believe was his name, mental health visit. How unprofessional is that? My anxiety is through the roof so bad I've FELL to the ground from being so WEAK, Heart racing so fast that's why I love telehealth, because it's way easier for me to do. I'm just in shock he canceled minutes before the appointment I mean WOW. That's unreal especially with how bad things have been for me I've been WAITING a few days for this appointment & now I gotta try to squeeze in with a doctor who might actually care.
I set up an appointment because I had been treating ringworm with an over the counter cream for 3 weeks and it wasn't working. I assumed it would be easy to explain how I have been treating the issue and get a referral for a prescription strength cream. Instead I paid 50 dollars for a "doctor" to call me and tell me everything I already knew about treating ringworm from a quick google search. I was then told I didn't need the prescription strength cream and to continue with over the counter medicine. It is insane that they are ok with charging people money for such subpar treatment. I feel totally scammed. You are better off using google than wasting your money on this company. 0 out of 10, I'll never use them again.
They didn't want to give me antibiotics I've had a cough for two weeks they said it was asthma it wasn't. All they want to give me is cough pills that's it or u gotta have a fever. Nonore
Was on the phone for 2-3 mins. Was not given any diagnosis or prescribed any meds. $45 no refund! Uh
I called with a UTI. I tested positive for a UTI with AZO. Doctor said he could not treat me because of my age. I'm 59. I'm on the phone for less than 2 minutes when he tells me he can't treat me because of my age. They charged me $55 for a 2 minute call. That's $1650 an hour. Doctor said to call and the Business Office to get a refund that they were "easy to work with". That was a lie. They refused to refund me. IT'S A SCAM! NO ONE SHOULD MAKE $1650 AN HOUR! Then I go in to look at my visit summary and the doctor diagnosed me with Dysuria, painful urination. I NEVER EVER said I had painful urination! I have an UTI.
My insurance clearly state that Teledoc visits are $0. However, Teledoc will not honor it. They blame Blue Cross and of course Blue Cross blames them. So bottom line is no care. And they do not care. Money has become only concern of service providers.
I had a phone visit with Dr. Binh Lieu and he hung up on me because I questioned his opinion. I had more questions for him and click, he was gone. I will never use Teladoc again. They denied a refund because the doctor said he was done with the call. Can you imagine if Costco treated their customers like this? They would have none left.
My daughter tried to use Teledoc for mental health care. The doctor changed her medication. Mental health medication needs to be checked on for side effects, etc. Some of these side effects are life threatening. The doctor requested a specific follow-up appointment date that worked for her, (the doctor,) and confirmed it three times. My daughter cancelled her work to stay home to take the call. The doctor never called and then cancelled 15 minutes after the visit was supposed to begin. Teledoc said that she had to reschedule with another provider, even though mental health meds should be managed by the same person. She rescheduled and the person who called was not able to manage meds. This has put my daughter in a situation where her medication may run out before she is seen. We have to find another doctor, pay for new patient fees, and hope that the medication is appropriate. We had to pay $180 for one short visit with no follow up through Teledoc. We were also charged an additional $85 erroneously.
STAY AWAY.
I paid every month trying to get an appointment with any doctors in California, they "make you choose" from their schedule but you have to wait until they accept it or not, 3 different doctors deny my request (more than 10 appointments denied). Finally a guy from this company called me after leaving a bad review about this experience and not even him could helped me, he told me that they weren't enough doctors in California and that I had to wait. One year paying on time to get nothing. They definitely are scammers because they "offer services" without having any doctors that can help you. THE WORST EXPERIENCE!
After being with two agents for teladoc that could not verify my insurance number. They made a dummy account for me and charged me 49 dollars instead of 10 dollars. I told them i needed a antibiotic for a UTI. She said there was a possibility they would refuse a prescription but looking on their web site they never precribe a antibiotic. She should of told me this was a waste of time to go farther in the process. I will never use their service and I deeply upset with them! Just another clip joint!
This is about Teladoc, not about any providers I've encountered.
Setting appointment: You select your time zone and the available times are displayed. You select one -- and it defaults to CDT no matter what zone you're in. But you don't know that until it confirms your appt. Time in CDT.
Customer support: Seemed great, and the lady took down all the information and seemed interested in helping me reschedule my appointment (since I couldn't figure out how to get it done at the right time in the right timezone), and she said she would escalate the issue to tech services. Well, she didn't reschedule it for me so I had to move other things around on my schedule AND be available in case it was rescheduled and I just wasn't notified.
Site/App: I'm writing this at 12:16 pm on 8/12, and my page still has an invitation to join the waiting room for my appointment that was yesterday at 4:00 pm EDT.
Providers: Here's where they excel. I've had two calls for Rx refills and one nutrition consult. All three providers were excellent.
We used the service they said they would call in a prescription and never did, they won't refund my money and they said to book another appointment. And pay another fee, because on their end they don't see where a prescription was given. The doctor said they were going to call in a prescription and even asked do you want us to call it in the Walgreens, which is the pharmacy in your profile!
Apparently, the doctors working at this facility have two different set of rules. I had a UTI and so did two other employees with the company that I work for. They called and was able to get medicine. I called two different times and was told they cannot prescribe medicine for a UTI. That was the rules and regulations they go by. What a joke! If one cannot get help why can others? When symptom's are identical with all three people? By the way, I have had one before and I know this is what I had. Thanks for causing me to go have to send $70 to get help.
I scheduled a telephone appointment for a prescription refill. When the provider called me, he was incredibly short with me and disinterested in anything I had to say. We spoke for no more than 25 seconds. I got a call from the pharmacy an hour later saying that the provider had prescribed the wrong amount and my insurance would not cover it. There was no way to get back in contact with the provider, so I called the general customer service line. After explaining the situation once, I was disconnected. After explaining the situation again, I was told that Teledoc can only prescribe one-month of my medication at a time (again, this amount is not covered by insurance, so I would have to pay full price). Teledoc did not make this limitation l known to me before they took my $50 of course, and they would not do anything in terms of a refund because "prescriptions are not guaranteed". Misleading and a waste of money.
Answer: It seems legit for the company but many providers just use it a a conveyor belt to get 1 minute visits paid as a whole visit. They obviously are paid by call because they are so rushed.
Answer: It depends who I got. A few good people, but mostly impatient reps.
