Have been using the online store for several years now for my main grocery shop, always delivered on time by friendly delivery driver - they even carry the items to my kitchen for easy unpacking (unlike the other two supermarkets I used previously). Can not fault.
Great variety of vegan options! Thank you, TESCO, for being vegan friendly :) Although not everyone might like the TESCO's vegan-friendly policy, as you might see it from the recent media reaction to the TESCO vegan sausage commercial as shown on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-k8DVW7HTw&t=311s
So it takes a lot of courage and wisdom to become a vegan friendly retailer nowadays!
The overall impression of the stores in Central London, North-West, and East E2, is very favorable. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the shops are clean.
I popped into Tesco Lowestoft ( to get some chicken dippers as I had a yearning for some chicken dipped in a satay source for supper) when, I couldn't help but notice a flyer tapped to the window. Twas a picture of a women with legs spread wide and no knicks on, I mean, I could tell you what she has for breakfast!. It said Sara Bishop come dump, fill me up with a phone number, well, I tapped that number into my phone tut sweet I can tell you but, did put me off my chicken dippers, I settled for a pizza instead. So, all I can say TOP DRAW for Sara Bishop, she takes it in all holes and Tesco for leaving the flyer up, oh and a mention to Tesco for the Pizza, that was lush!.
Visited Tesco in Burnley, Lancashire and was met by their community champion Billie. She took a big interest in our community garden project and gave us valuable advice and guidance regarding our future progress. She also helped us out by donating some really useful items, as we are a registered charity every penny counts so this kind of help is much needed and appreciated. The price, range and quality off their goods is also very competitive which helps projects like ours very much.
The drivers were so nice and friendly. Tesco have constantly shown care in picking the right products for me every week. They also offer money off substituted picks too. Great experience.
Seriously Tesco? I dont want a loyalty card and I dont want to be patronised at the end of each shop with a 11p money off voucher for my next shop. Likewise, I am not the kind of shopper to spend £40 or more in a transaction because I shop small and regular to keep things fresh and because you have such short lives on your produce.
Just make the prices cheaper and drop the loyalty card. I am not loyal to you or any other brand no more. I shop where I want to not because I like you, convenience or range of foods. I can go anywhere I want to buy my jaffa cakes and not have to buy them in bulk, like you want me to. Poundland has 24 for £1 not £1.56. GET A GRIP and GET REAL
Brilliant website any items delivered to the store free of charge, always kept in touch on the progress of your order to the final text to say your items are now ready to collect. I have ordered loads from Tesco from electricals to clothing fantastic
Love Tesco easy to shop friendly staff good choice of offers and deals and money off whats not to love.
Overall, it is good.
I am a mum of 2 babies, none of them at school yet, and very demanding, and I find that the service is very practical.
Their substitutions, when the product is not available, are usually fairly good (comparing to Asda who I had tried and sent me houmous instead of Greek cheese).
I find it frustrating sometimes when I order carrots and they just say "out of stock" while they have about 15 different types of carrots on their website, or when I order nappies in size 5 and they send me substitution in size 4! But you can always refuse them.
I have been in contact many times with their CS (been a customer for over 2 years), and each time (except once), I had a very friendly and helpful person.
I also subscribe to Delivery saver which allows me for £6 a month to have as many deliveries as I want (minimum £25 spent, which is easy to reach with my 2 kids).
Their offers are great, you get the price promise, and also accumulate points on the tesco card (which I then transform in days out or restaurant vouchers for our family)
Finally I just would like to state why I didn't put 5 stars but just 4, simply because in the last 6 months, I must have had 10 LATE deliveries (between 15 min and 1h20 late! You SOMETIMES receive a text informing you of the delay, but more often don't.
That is very frustrating when your world with 2 kids has to hold on and wait for a late delivery.
The rest is good.
Great and friendly service.
You can ask for substitutions in case they don't have any items in stock.
They'll also refund you the difference if the substitutions cost extra.
Usually on time, they sometimes turn up a little earlier or later but not by much so I don't mind.
Very poor service, out of stock items, customer service very bad, shop elsewhere.!
Its so great to discover my usual supermarket round the corner is much more better in their online version. My usual experience with this online grocery shopping supermarket has been fab. They are extremely professional and provide a friendly customer service for the whole online grocery shopping experience. You get club card points for shopping which can be used to get money off your grocery. There are new money off vouchers sent to me as well and also price check refund vouchers every time I shop. Life wouldn't be the same without Tesco. :))
Placed order and out of stock lines on my order, customer service terrible and tesco is going down hill fast.
I don't think online grocery shopping could be any easier, with their 'favourites' function. This know that we're creatures of habit and automatically detects the things you but each week and adds them to separate list, so they are easy to find each time.
I live in the middle of nowhere so the delivery is usefull and with a timed delivery slot, I know when it will be there.
They also have a barcode scanning app, whereby if you use your last can of beans, you can scan the barcode from home and it's added to your shopping list! Grocery shopping, just went high-tech, although it could just be a case of 'men and their gadgets'!
Very poor service 5 items out of stock despite saying in stock, refund very slow, customer service poor, would not recommend, but we have to eat
If you're too lazy to walk out of the house. If you're agraphobic or youre glued to the television or computer all day. Maybe youre far too busy or the nearest supermarket is a days drive away.
Whatever youre excuse - you can now do all youre shopping online.
Tesco online is very easy to use and can direct you to all the bargains. There are lots of categories and subcategories making the selection easier.
On the downside you can't check the products to find if they are fresh and if a product is not in stock it might be replaced with another item.
Overall - convienient and useful and fairly reliable.
Answer: It is not a scam. It is a legit company. A big retailer.
