Gotta tell ya. When it comes to a waisted online journalistic experience, The Daily Beast is less than a waist of time. For the fact that if your gonna go online with any type of story, at least the hell make it a readable article, not some kinda whore $#*! experience where one is left at the end of road in a Pay To Play Situation. Cuz I gotta tell Ya, there is much much very more free journalism on line that literally smokes The Beasts article from hour to hour. If I want to pay to read I'll throw my money at real writer journalists, no some off the skid's garbage $#*! rag. See ya
Horrifically biased click-bait site. I would be hard pressed to find anything pertaining to objective reporting, or an accredited writer that could slap two sentences together without the hyperbole of an angry 16 year old on Twitter. There is no news. This is their formula: 1. Throw a dart at a board full of anything Republican, right wing, conservative, or not-left-extremist 2. Not investigate any of the details but rather pick the opposing view to the extreme 3. Write it out like you're reviewing a punk rock concert 4. Give it a catchy title that will attract young, impressionable youth to read the title, but not look any further. 5. Give it some wild claims further down for the idiots who are now young adults and still believing this is reality 6. Post it under "News" 7. Rinse and repeat.
Gotta tell ya.

Daily Beast had notified the Ukrainian government where to find journalists Gonzalo Lira who was incarcerated and died from illness.
I'm tired of so called Americans leaving Americans behind and even worse yet informing a dictator where to find a journalist that is critical of the Ukrainian government's situation.
I have no problem with political leaning either way in any articles across the media "sphere". But to say that this "News Organization" is just a little left leaning would be dishonest! Almost like the daily beast! Again i dont really lean one way or the other in most issues, but i am particularly disturbed at how much the truth is bent and skewed to fit these peoples narratives! They "cleverly" hide their disdain for anything (anyone) that dont fit their "world view" inside asinine articles made to persuade you to believe every half truth and obtuse opinions they spew... trash website... trash writing... they need to get a grip
Articles are garbage. They give clickbait titles and flail to substantiate that point throughout the article whether it is a true claim or not. Why this site is one of the first suggestions on google is beyond me. It would be very unfortunate if people who didn't know any better considered this a factual source of information.
Please do yourself a favor and don't fill your brain with this garbage. You can't hire writers, editors, and investigators who have been bought and sold by the Deep state to give you both side of anything.
Straight Garbage. They will take your words and twist them to feed gas to a flame. They claim they are here to stand against bullies and hypocrites but the only hypocrite I see is this POS website. They claim to use facts but we'll call them white lies and if nobody questions it they'll continue to do it again. I read an article they made about a certain person and they completely switched up his words after. These lazy bigots probably make their article before even interviewing anyone. More crap from a toilet. One day you'll overflow
Don't believe anything they print. I have never read such blatantly planted disinformation in my life. Even more laughable is the advertising for an addiction recovery center (a worse racket than the war on drugs) featured on the same page- one of the industries that is threatened by the opiate curing benefits of kratom leaves. The Daily Beast is not news, They are paid off by advertisers to mislead you.
Journalism like this is really dangerous. The Daily Beast has a very clear agenda against Dem. Candidate Andrew Yang. Twisting the truth and mis- characterizing his platform. I will not be using this site and any sort of credible source of information.
Tried over a 3 year period but there is nothing but right wing nonsense in this online paper.
There are so many independent unbiased non aligned web based papers, don't waste your time on the right wing garbage...
Mislead you into buying low quality crap then surprise! No refunds. A scam from top to bottom - stay away. Daily Beast should not be connected to stack commerce. You are ruining your integrity for a little cash on the side, Daily Beast!
Getting an article read here is a total joke. You are held captive by those ads with garbage that isn't true about the military and Trump and you can't finish the article without agreeing to subscribe to pop up add from them.
What hypocrisy that the Daily Beast promotes, if one were to search any item about Israel it would routinely ridicule Israel for defending itself but any item about anyone else say in a recent issue of the French using military force in Mali and the US helping out as well it's suddenly either neutral or a good thing.
Wow, what hypocrisy who the heck are you to tell what others can and can't do? Why should Israel be controlled? It's funny how the same people like to depict how there is a supposed Israeli Lobby controlling American politics when there is no such thing at all.
It is a lie crafted by the same kind of people.
Everything Daily Beast writes is a total lie. Never click on their national enquirer type of site.
They must just get a few homeless people in a room and ask them what's going on in America.
Total idiots. I mean really. Very uneducated low class types writing lies daily. Lets NOT give them a platform.
#BAN DAILY BEAST!
The writing is done well but the content is garbage. The reviews seem to be biased and. Bull $#*! propaganda to create drama for people to share or discuss the site. Not even worth my time to get more in depth, if you want to read through some lame reviews that is your choice.
Gonzalo Lira has dissapeared and probably been arrested by the ukrainian secret police. Days prior The Daily Beast wrote a horrible one sided piece on him. They can be proud of themselves. I wouldnt be able to life with myself knowing this.
The internet version of SNL. No value at any level. Prey upon the feeble minded and gullible. I don't appreciate the agenda. I would rate it a zero but this site won't allow it so I rate it a begrudging 1. Provides people the wrong perspective. President Trump is a good leader. The Democrats may win the election but their platform, ideals and tactics are criminal. Fake News supports the foolish doctrine. More government. Soros globalists. Entitlements. I'm all for helping widows, orphans and cripples. They need it. Fake News and Democrats will ruin our nation. So I push back to prevent it. Maybe one day they'll see the light? Democrats didn't believe in the Affordable Care Act. They were pandering for votes. Otherwise they would have made a half-hearted effort to make it bi-partisan.
That's just one example. Don't get me started.
Why can't I give 0 stars? This "News" channel is on of the worst sites I've ever seen.
The Daily Beast is a terribly biased news source. They utilize sensationalist, clickbaity headlines that are not back up by any substantial facts whatsoever. They use unprofessional language in their writing, appealing to emotions instead of facts. Sometimes they even post outright fake news just to get those clicks. Overall, I would not get my information from here.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site. Use Reuters or something, they're much better.
The Daily Beast has some of the best-written feature articles on the net, bar none. That's the good news, the rest of the news is the Beast's web interface is the worst on the net, bar none. I've been reading the beast daily for perhaps a year and there hasn't been a single session where the site hasn't bombed. Mostly, the problem started when they started trying to sell subscriptions to the "Beast Inside".
They need to fire their entire web-dev group, drop the begging for dollars, and they'll get five stars from me. It's funny, even though the site's coding is garbage, the articles are often so fascinating I'll log it several times just to read the fascinating news.
I have ordered a couple of things through Daily Beast and never had trouble. But then one order from a vendor never seemed to show up--the tracking number I was given never seemed to be recognized. The support team followed up very quickly, and always got back to me letting me know what the status was. The item did arrive, and I Evey much appreciated the way the support team strayed on top of the matter and kept me in the loop. Thanks so much!
The Daily Beast is hit or miss - Former Vanity Fair and New Yorker editor Tina Brown started Daily Beast, a somewhat self-indulgent collection of original articles and syndicated work which calls itself, ". A speedy, smart edit of the web from the merciless point of view of what interests the editors."
Some of the articles are great. Funny original work like this article on David Gergen. Also, Tina Brown has called in such heavy-weights as the always brilliant Michael Kinsley. But for every excellent author, Tina Brown throws in a Randi Zuckerberg, the sister of the founder of Facebook, who is a poor writer and doesn't seem to have much to say of any importance.
So while I might be inclined to follow individual authors, I cannot find a compelling reason to keep coming back to the site. I just don't know what it's for.
I read the Daily Beast, well, daily. The editorial selection of articles is intersting and I quite like the layout of the site and find it very accessible. I take exception to one big thing, however: the editorial choices of headlines. For example: "Sanders blames poor people". If you read the article, what Sanders said is that poor people don't vote in great enough numbers and his candidacy would benefit if they did. But it's not the inflammatory headline TDB editors decided to assign to the story. A great site with room to improve.
I'm so GD sick of this GD site crashing more and more and more for the last two years I'm thinking of canceling my Beast Inside subscription. I don't understand why they can't update their server to accommodate the traffic they get, my god is a site you have to pay to read. I'm paying. FIX IT. This same issue is why I quit reading Raw Story.
The Daily Beast Online News Current Affairs Cheat Sheet
Tina Brown, former editor of Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and Talk Magazine lunched 'The Daily Beast' in October 2008. A year later it joined up with Newsweek and is now 'The Newsweek Daily Beast'
The name is derived from the newspaper 'The Beast' in Evelyn Waugh's 1938 satire of sensationalist journalism, foreign correspondents and war reporting. (Seventy plus years later, 'Scoop' is still very funny)
The Daily Beast 'Cheat Sheet' (must reads from all over) is a good source of links and backgrounds to top stories. Newsweek is obviously favoured, but not exclusively. Fast overviews, some good writing, interesting topics.
The Daily Beast http://www.thedailybeast.com is a worthwhile bookmark for news hounds. Recommended.
I read TDB for writers like Clive Irving, Anthony Haden-Guest, Chistopher Buckley, etc. I really enjoy the entertainment writers like Kevin Fallon and Marlow Stern as well. I don't really lean one way or the other politically so I recognize the more-than-occasional disproportionally caustic spew of personal opinions. I get an excellent overview across a wide variety of subjects a couple times a day, I'm good with that. I will say, the continuous barrage of misspellings and typos is awe-inspiring (I've spent time as a professional editor in my day) but I am seeing that more and more across the Internet so there's no use in expecting any big change as far as that goes.
A smart, speedy take on the news from around the world.
