This was a very disappointing experience. I was looking for resume optimization and modernization as the job market is much more competitive today than when I got my last two jobs. I responded to an ad via my ExecThread connection and ultimately purchased a resume refresh. It was a long and disappointing process that I wish I had not done. I do not believe I got the value for my dollar. If you are a Mac/Apple user, avoid these guys completely (See item 2 below).
1) The actual work was probably an 6/10. There were a lot of typos and mistakes in the work. I found a few but intentionally left others in there to make sure the quality control was happening. It was not. The typos were things like an incomplete sentence, missing periods on bullets or sentences, other inconsistent punctuation, and inconsistent formatting. On the resume, I had to do some pretty significant rewriting on a couple of items because the offshore team didn't understand words in my resume or the jobs I am shooting for.
2) The biggest problem I STILL have right now is the files that were sent are corrupt. And nobody seems to be able to figure it out. The PDF and Word/Numbers formatting are completely different when opened on Mac or when attempting to import into Google Sheets. It doesn't even show up correctly when you view it on Microsoft Word Online (i.e., via the browser). They keep resending me the same files and are not telling me the fonts they are using so I can try to fix the actual file going forward. This is unresolved.
3) The cover letter was decently written (probably the best part of the process), however, there are some additional grammatical problems in it that I had to spend time correcting.
All in all, I feel like this was more like a $50 value tops. The back and forth with the offshore (offshore to the US) teams delays communication by 24 hours every time, and they are not actually addressing the issues. I've been back and forth with the teams for over a month trying to fix this and nobody seems to want to work through the actual problem (one way they could do this is open my files on a mac with MS Word installed and they would instantly see the issue). I've sent multiple screenshots and it's just become a broken record. I open the files, take screenshots of the corrupt document, and they resend the exact same file (or just say "We sent you the files.").
I wouldn't purchase again.
