TRADEMARK ENGINE-BAD BUSINESS PRATICE'S
March 29, 2023

I wanted to trademark a phrase so I looked around and found Trademark Engine. The website wasn't user friendly in my opinion but I finally got it registered for review. I signed on for the "Basic Package" because I didn't want all the add-ons, I just wanted to register my phrase. Well that's when the $#*! hit the fan. Unknowing to me is that when you sign up for the "Basic Package" THEY AUTOMATICALLY SIGN YOU UP FOR TRADEMARK PROTECTION. I didn't want it and didn't know I GOT SIGNED UP FOR IT. I missed the first billing to my credit card of $99 dillars for 3 months. Well I caught the 2nd billing and called them to cancell it and said I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR IT! I was told it is automatically added and UNLESS YOU CANCELL IT IN 30 DAYS YOU OWN IT. I told them I would accept the 1st one because I missed but I wanted a refund for this 2nd charge of $99 dollars. THEY FLAT OUT SAID NO REFUNDS.I asked to speak with a supervior and you guess it they WE'RE ALL BUSY. They told the operater they would call me back, NEVER HAPPENED. THIS UNSCRUPULOUS ACT OF SIGNING PEOPLE UP FOR $#*! THEY DON'T WANT AND THEN RELEYING ON THE CUSTOMER TO CANCELL IT IN 30 DAYS IS WRONG. It's bad for business. Still waiting for my refund...

Tip for consumers:

Hidden enrollment policy automatically signs you up for trademark protection you never signed up for and you have to cancell it with in 30 days or they start charging you $99 dollars every 3 months with no REFUNDS. DO NOT USE THEM.
