A member of this site for a few years, and was very happy with it. However, over the last year, I have had zero bookings, despite having several clients in the past with 4/5 star reviews. The high cost of membership combined with their CUT on every lesson has bumped up prices unaffordable for both tutors and students. I would suggest looking eleswhere, indeed I am registering with other sites and pretty much dumped this one.
I have used tutors for both my sons at A & GCSE level and have always found great teachers. The site is user friendly, it allows you to really see what skills and experience teachers have. TutorHunt responds well & efficiently to me as a parent.
This is a good website. I have found excellent tutors. It is easy to navigate. The response from customer service is good. There is ample information about each tutor including a rough idea of location.
Dr Margaret is helping my daughter prepare for her Chemistry A' level. We have found Margaret to be very professional, patient, and calm, and is explaining things in a clear, understandable way which is really helping my daughter, who is really enjoying her sessions with her. We are delighted to have found Margaret and are already finding the sessions are very beneficial towards her A level after only a few weeks.

Debbie has been the best tutor we've found for helping our daughter with her Biology, Chemistry and Physics revision. She has found her GCSE exams much easier having had lots of practice on exam technique and past papers with Debbie. I would highly recommend her as a tutor for any science subject.
We found this site was excellent. Engaging, user friendly and easy to use. Our daughter has been working with our tutor for a month, and I can see the difference already!
After searching other sites with no success, we registered with TutorHunt and found a couple of available tutors for us that day. I would recommend the service as it is fast and easy to use. They were even cheaper than the alternatives we tried as well.
We have weekly tuition with Andrew for Maths A-level. My Son gets on very well with him and although we've only had 4 lesson so far, I'm confident that it will help my sons confidence greatly over time. The tutor is very patient and explains the course well to my son. Thanks :)
I have found 2 tutors on Tutorhunt and have been happy with both. I find it best to make a detailed enquiry with potential tutor and if they are what I am looking for I purchase details. In this way I can find out if they have specific exam board experience for instance. All tutors have replied promptly to me over the past 3 years so I am happy to continue using them. It seems people here are buying details without checking availability.
Easily found a tutor for my child - they have so many. It was easy to search, and helpful to talk to as many as I wanted. This let me find the right one. I think tutors are better than schoolteachers! One on one, vs a noisy class of 30. I don't think any other site has so many tutors - I tried another but it said there were none nearby, then I tried Tutor hunt and there were many to choose from very close to us. My son got an A* thanks to his excellent tutoring.
Answer: Firstly I would like to say I am sure this site is legitimate and there are genuine tutors willing to help. However my daughters experience has been far from positive as the tutor which I paid a fee of £23 for has no subject knowledge of what we require (this was not brought to light before we purchased their details). Following a rather unusual phone call the tutor has now sent an abusive email. I fear this is instead of admitting lack of subject knowledge. As a result I would say stay away from this site, however this could be an isolated incident.
