I am on upwork for the last 8+ years as freelancer. Doing a job is good to get regular earnings but could not help you to become rich or get full reward of your hard-work. Upwork is good for skilled and experienced professionals around the world especially from under developed countries to sell their services on good rate remotely and get full reward of their work. If you know what you are doing then you should join upwork and earn some extra money.

Writing on Upwork for me has been everything I'd wished it would be. It's a very serious platform that takes work very seriously. How you work, relate to clients could make or break your career on the platform. However, it also protects you as a freelancer and equips you with the necessary knowledge to thrive.

For me, it has been intriguing. Working for people, writing for companies, websites, and knowing that because of my article a good number of people will make informed decisions about their lives. This makes me feel special.

I have been working as a freelancer in Upwork for about 2 years and I believe it is the greatest platform of all freelancer market places. Recently, they updated policy and it's innovative and very helpful. If you believe that you have skills in programming and are going to start your individual business as a freelancer then don't hesitate to choose Upwork as a first option. As we know, there are many market places for freelancers and almost are rusty but it is not. Totally recommend.

I am an experienced Graphic and Video editor since 2016. It's hard to restart again and make a personal appearance online about my job. But Fortunately, I found Upwork. It's Good for Freelancers Because it's so secure (No scammers so Far). Upwork have a 20% less from your total income but it I find it so quick and easy to find a client. (Just work hard enough on your profile though.)

If you're a freelancer, Upwork will connect you with clients that are of high value and professional. There are a few clients who just don't know what they want, and it's our responsibility to break down the descriptions to them, but there are a few of them who end up assigning the job without expert advice which eventually leads to misunderstanding and bad reviews. Upwork is awesome, especially when dealing with clients that know their requirements beforehand.

I lost my teaching job in 2020 and I was unemployed until December. I discovered Upwork this year and joined in February 2021 and to date I have made $300. It has really changed my life. I am glad for the developers of Upwork. It is a life-changing experience indeed. Upwork has offers clients a platform to get quality work created by experienced freelancers.

I've worked as a freelancer for over a year with Upwork. The site provides advertising to get both clients and freelancers into the system. They provide training to the Freelancers on how to improve their business. Much of the training is free. Occasionally, they will have a trainer that is also pitching their own course that costs some money, but even those have been reasonable. Upwork is a job. When you start you need to research what works best in the community. But that research pays off. The fact that I now have clients direct inviting me to interviews shows that it pays off. Yes, there is a 20% fee for the first $500 billed, and 10% until $10,000 billed... but if you look at the value of the advertising that brought you the clients/freelancers... it is worth every penny!

I've worked with several clients all across the world, and they were all extremely happy with the results. Clients pay for the work performed and the freelancer receives payment for the work performed thanks to Upwork's secure payment system. Finding the perfect match for projects is made easier by public comments and a freelancer and client rating system. Posted a listing for a writer for project paying up to $10,000. Absolutely 100% legit and all screens filled out properly. However, because of imbeciles running this site, my true, authentic posting was declined as a scam. I think they have it wrong - UpWork is the scam. Wasted 20 mins. Describing high-paying job that many writers would jump at. Upwork is obviously an amateurish, nickel and dime operation with no experience or understanding of professional high paying projects. Go to other sites that really know this business.

Anyone reading these reviews will understand that you will be very disappointed using upwork.com.
Since I wrote my original review, things have gotten even worse so I can't imagine how bad it is now.
I only gave 1 star because I had to!

Good luck Upwork... look forward to seeing this disgusting website going down.
