“Freaking liars,and worst customer service of anyone I've ever dealt with”

This is the worst busness I've ever dealt with. If you can even get them on the phone. I waited over 2 hours the other day on hold just to be dropped when they tried to transfer me.Since starting SS disability I received 2 payments on 2 different cards. So instead of putting it all on one card they gave me 2 which just confused everything. For over 2 years I asked them to put all my miney on just 1 card. They agreed and said that it was not right having 2 cards,said they'd change it. 2 years later they changed only because I was receiving only 1 check as of recent. So many fraudulent charges every month and trying to get refunded is just a joke. I loose so much money every month because of this. I truly don't know how there still in business.,PS,they also have no problem lieing and have to me many times.

Their platform promises attractive returns, but it's all smoke and mirrors. I strongly advise against getting involved with Direct Express, as my experience suggests they are operating as a scam. Be cautious, as engaging with them could lead to financial loss and other negative outcomes. I was able to recover my money, but it was only possible through external assistance. (I used their website URL as my display name and profile picture on this review in case anyone needs help or wants to reach out for support). Note: Due to the strict policy here, I'm sharing this purely to help others recover their funds.

I wouldn't advice to get direct express, a couple months they have stolen 303.00. They say they gave me a refund but they didn't.so please beware!

Ana Riveras card never arrived. Whole month without money. Family help me with all the bills. Not recommended

My 4 year old and I got sick with Covid on Friday 10/1. We have no family to help. I tried to use my card that night online to order us food and it was declined. I called customer service and got a message due to high call volume they couldn't take my call. I tried all night long. Nothing. Saturday 10/2 I again tried all day long to get help. My card would not work anywhere I tried. I finally got through to someone in the dispute office on Sunday 10/3. They said I had to be transferred. I sat on hold 6 more hours and nobody ever picked up. The dispute department refused to help me saying they couldn't. It is now Monday 10/4 and 12 pm. I've been transferred and sitting on hold for 2 hours. I finally got someone in the dispute department. They transferred me to a supervisor who was extremely rude. She said Direct Express blocks cards from being able to be used online due to fraud. They could temporarily allow me to use my card online but it would only be for 3 days, and take 24 hours for the request to be put through. I told her they have put me in an emergency situation, and how important it was for me to be able to use my card now, and I can't go to the atm and go to the store to get supplies. She said "nobody is asking you to go to the atm" and she hung up on me. I am now sitting on hold to try to get back through to someone to help me. I am out of toilet paper, water, food, cat food, and cannot get medicine for my 4 year old or I. My husband is in critical care in the hospital. I explained this to her also and she just hung up on me. This is unbelievable. I don't know what needs to happen, but you better believe I will be looking into how to file a formal complaint against this company, and changing my direct deposit information today.

They lock my dad's card for any reason. Then we have to call every time and its insane. Whyy? These are mostly elderly people

The worst company I have EVER dealt with. They let me direct ship my new pay card for my disability benefits to a PO BOX which couldn't be delivered express because it's a PO Box. Then because UPS held the card they put a security hold on my account. They told me I had to fax two forms of ID to them to prove my identity, so I did. After waiting the 48 hours they tell me it's not accepted because the photo is too dark... it's a fax! So I get them to give me and email to send it to, wait the allotted time and call back. They said everything is clear and they will two day ship my card and I will get tracking on my phone. I don't get tracking so I call on the day it's supposed to arrive and they tell me "it was never sent". Mind you, there is a freaking hurricane coming and I have no money, I have been dealing with these people for weeks. So I have them send a new card but they tell me that they can't send it any faster because UPS doesn't deliver on the weekend, what a blatant lie! To top it, when I get home that day the card that "was never sent" had arrived. I call the next morning to see if they can activate the card that "was never sent" and they told me no because that card was sent in error because I used to receive two different benefit checks and so they had to send the new one with my full benefits on it. This company is a load of BULL. I have not received two separate benefit checks in over five years and rather than admit to their mistakes they make up lies and try to insist that you are wrong. I will be stranded with no money food or supplies for this hurricane because of this company's inability to function properly. Not to mention their phone lines says that they're busy every time you call and doesn't allow you to stay in que it simply hangs up on you. I have to call ATLEAST 20 times every time to get put in the que to hold and hour to speak to someone.

SUBMITTED FORMS ABOUT FRAUDULENT CHARGES. SOME 46 DAYS LATER THEY RESPONDED BY SAYING THE MERCHANT CLAIMS THEY ARE VALID? DA?

TOTALLY USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY NEVER INVESTIGATE FRAUDULENT CHARGES AND YET ALWAYS DENIED CLAIMS I CANT BELEIVE THE DEPARTAMENT OF TREASURY RENEWED THEIR CONTRACT. SOOOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING.

#1 crooks! True 3- d world costomer service " representativs" they stilling SSA money from million Americans and how American governme hent let this DE Mankey business be clouse to SSA payments?!

If you like to spend countless hours on the phone to get your SSA MONEY by all means use them, like you have any other choice!

Last month, the money I have been receiving from Social Security since 2020 did not appear in my account. I was told by a few representatives on the phone from Direct Express that Social Security never sent out the money. I went to the Social Security Office in Allentown,PA and was told that Direct Express received the money and placed it in a different account that Im not familiar with. I called Direct Express after I left the Social Security Office and was told that someone closed the account that I have been using without my permission and blamed Social Security for not sending the money to the right account. I went back to the Social Security Office and was told that Direct Express made the mistakes of allowing my account to be closed without giving me a notice and directing the money elsewhere. I don't know whether the money is still in the custody of Direct Express and someone is refusing to release it or whether someone hacked my account and closed it to get the benefits. This issue was resolved days later. My money went missing once again. Social Security sent out SSI Payments to individuals on March 31st and my payment did not appear in my Direct Express Account. I called Direct Express Customer Service multiple times and was told the money went to the wrong debit card. I was told the issue would be resolved within 3-5 hours and so far nothing changed. I had a supervisor from Direct Express cancel out the debit card that had the money on it and attempt to transfer the money to the debit card I have right now. He said it will return to the debit card I have within 24 hours and as of right now I still did not receive it. This is the second time in one month that Direct Express has mishandled my money.

I ordered a replacement card 3 weeks ago and i still haven't received it so finally get a hold of somebody on the phone after like 300 trys so I tell them I have to order a new replacement card cuz i didn't get the first one I ordered but this time i paid more to get it expedited to me cuz I need my card ta use my money they tell me your get it in 2 days right here it is 6 days later still have not gotten it an still can't get a real human on the God dame phone DO NOT use Direct Express they are awful this sucks i can't get any of my money there should be another way to access your money this is bul$#*! one's I get my replacement card whenever that will be I'm taking all my $#*!in money out and putting it into a bank account $#*! Direct Express I haven't been able to get to walk in days because I don't have my card to put money in my gas tank this is awful the amount of stress I have this month because of this is on real $#*! u guys u suck u suck u suck I want my money back for the card I paid for to get it expedited to me because if it's not here by that time u say it will be an im gonna have to wait an wait what's the point of paying extra to get extradited to me u will be here from me that's for shore if I could actually get ahold of somebody on the $#*!in phone go $#*! yourself don't use Direct Express they are awful this has been the worst thing ever you're lucky I had to give u $#*!s 1 star ta except this review cuz u wouldn't be getting noon
