This is the worst busness I've ever dealt with. If you can even get them on the phone. I waited over 2 hours the other day on hold just to be dropped when they tried to transfer me.Since starting SS disability I received 2 payments on 2 different cards. So instead of putting it all on one card they gave me 2 which just confused everything. For over 2 years I asked them to put all my miney on just 1 card. They agreed and said that it was not right having 2 cards,said they'd change it. 2 years later they changed only because I was receiving only 1 check as of recent. So many fraudulent charges every month and trying to get refunded is just a joke. I loose so much money every month because of this. I truly don't know how there still in business.,PS,they also have no problem lieing and have to me many times.

Worst debit card I've ever had the displeasure of having to use. Our government makes us use this service (if you can call it a service) and its about as dependable as our trash government. When you have a problem and believe me you will have problems, you have the luxury of 24/7 customer service that you can't get through to 99% of the time. You'll have to enter and listen to the same information repeatedly as you continuously attempt to reach them. Just to have a recording tell you to try again later and hang up on you. A miracle happened once when I was calling back to back around 3:30/4:00 am and I actually got to talk to a real life person. She told me she fixed my issue and I'd actually get to use my debit card in 2 hours. Too bad that wasn't true as I still can't do anything with this worthless piece of plastic. I've been attempting another miracle for about 10 hours and 100's of calls with nothing but being hung up on by the recording. I hate Directexcrement! I mean Directexpress! Waste of time and a huge source of stress, anger and frustration. Good luck to you and God help you if you have the misfortune to have to deal with this trash.
This bank blocks paypal instacart gas pumps double charging ATM fees. The store an bank both charge ATM fee at the same time. They hangup if you have an issue with there bank. They monitor what you buy lets say you purchase a virtual private server to record cameras. They start blocking payments to that VPS. Im disabled was hit by cop car an litigating. While doing so they go after cellphones by jamming calls an block transactions with any bank. They even erased pin number off local bank an teller said she never seen a card with no pin setup at all the whole time shes worked there. I had ambulance pull over on a highway demanding I get in for no reason I started recording an they ran away. I was already getting help with lawyers an my own doctors. So what Ive lerned is if you sue a county they control all banks an phones in there town. The ambulance said I was using my phone as a weapon as they drove past me window down. As I recorded them. Go figure a bank trusted by the feds works with local county to keep me from recording misconduct. I have to go to great lengths to spend money an wire funds to my VPS. Recently they changed the website I told the lady on the phone that I had power of attorney of my mom and i can send documentation to prove it. She said she couldn't help me over the phone unless the account holder can verify but my mom had a stroke 5 years ago and he speech is slur.he mad meme call my mom and have her verify her social address and name it took us 15 minutes for her to understand this is brutal and uncalled for from this service rep. Ive been helping my mom for years with her banking with US Direct Express transferring the money form her retirement to her bank account. Recently they changed their website and now you have to enter a new card number you cant even use the old card number that we had so they are now forcing you to get a new credit card, wait 5 day and then enter that new number so the card and money goes into that new number. She has bills she needs to pay and now is going to be late on everything because of this stupidity from them changing the website and not nothing or giving anyone any alerts of whats needed so we can prepare...worst company ever to use I even tried asking them if there a way to bypasss this so that we can transfer the money or they can do it for us she needs this to live and theydont give a %UCK.

I see a lot of people did not get their ssi benefits on their card and Direct Express is saying it's fraud and people are not getting their cards in the mail my kids were robbed for their money this month I've been with this company for seven years and this has never happened until now innocent people are being robbed this company needs to get shut down and it needs to a class action lawsuit filed by everyone this has happened to they told me it takes 90 days for an investigation and I don't think it's guaranteed after that, you will get your money back I'm going to SSI and switching everything to paper checks somebody that works in Direct Express out of NewYork took my kids ssi benefits before it could even land on the card at 1:15 AM 11/1/23 when I called to see what was going on I was told that I made transactions with a vendor Valerie LLC out of NewYork I've never did business with this person I think their using AI and authorizing purchases on people's cards and making it look like it was the card user that authorized the purchases only Direct Express have access to every customers card information I never authorized anybody to use my card my card was in my possession the whole time and I did not make any purchases 11/1/23 I can't believe they are allowed to do this without getting in trouble who is better than Direct Express? I don't even know where to begin, first of all, you cannot get ANYBODY on the phone that works there! I have tried since last month to get a new card because mine expired and FINALLY was able to talk to an employee. The longest wait time was 5 hours! My phone almost DIED. I move a lot and apparently SS doesn't share current info with them, so okay fine they said I would get a new card within 10 business days. Well, it's been over 3 weeks! NO CARD IN THE MAIL. I am SO DONE WITH DIRECT EXPRESS. This is the worst company I have ever delt with! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. The wait times are unbelievable to talk to a human being on the phone. Half the time it would just hang me up automatically, no joke! So then I tried the website and that was no better. The website kept saying I was entering the wrong information when I was not. So that was completely useless, Soon as I can get my new card I AM CLOSING IT. I am calling up Social Security and telling them to close this account they have for me there!
