So Vova another interesting store, much like Wish and some of the others out there, have what they call a flash sale. They will take a high ticket item like a laptop or a camera and advertise it for a low almost criminal price, in my case I was drawn into a MacBook Pro 15, the flash sale had a limited quantity of 10 units, being sold at 32 dollars a pop. Real or not I figured hey if I could get one for 32 dollars where would be the harm in trying? The thing about flash sales is that they are timed. Everyone becomes aware of the sale and gets ready to try and buy it. At the time I found it there was 8 hours on the clock. I Went about my day at work and watched the time run down. As we got into the 30 minutes remaining I started timing how long it would take to refresh the posting, often some times you need to refresh the listing in order to reveal the add to cart button. I discovered it takes two seconds to refresh so I knew that I would have to refresh in that last two seconds. To make it to 00:00:00 and add to cart. The last two seconds came and I refreshed, at the time of 00:00:00 it said it was out of stock. I was like "I'll be dammed, theres no way a user could go through the motions of adding to their cart and checking out on the exact moment it was available", But they were out of stock none the less.
It got me thinking about a few things, there was visibly never a chance for me to even add to cart, it was literally over the moment it was supposed to begin, so was it even real at all? I'm not sure. So either this is fake, some means to generate traffic to their site, or its some time zone thing where people are able to get at this deal earlier. If that's the case anyone in central time zone is prisoner by the countdown system they implemented.
Other things I was thinking of who would let an expensive $2000+ laptop go for 32 dollars. Perhaps the actual product received isn't even legit, or some Chinese knock-off. I would really love to hear the story from someone who has been able to buy one (if its even real and not a scam)
But all in all that was my experience, you can still buy the rest of the sub-par products they have to sell, those aren't going away any time soon, I am currently waiting on a pair of wireless earbuds that I bought for 12 dollars. Haha
