It was eye opening to look at job descriptions more strategically. I ended up getting a job outside of the traditional application process, but I'm confident that I would have made some good traction using Jobscan.
Useful insights, advises and resume feedback. It helped me to get a job! Very easy to use and very clear outcomes - highly recommended for anyone who is job hunting. I regret I didn't know about this great tool earlier.
It's nice to be able to scan and edit your resume to fit the job description for ATS...however, the resume scan doesn't always get your whole resume, and when you go to click on power edit it's a crap shoot on whether it makes it to edit or not. Also, doesn't make any sense to edit your resume in power edit because the format gets all wrecked if you try to download an use.
The product is a little bit buggy - When you report certain skills they don't drop off your scan. Not every thing it lists as missing is relevant. You have to go through it one by one and compare it to the job description to be able to make a decision:
1. Report the skill
2. Update your resume
3. Ignore
I will not renew but it is good to get you started.
UPDATE - I realized I made a mistake when I originally uploaded my resume. I didn't include a job description, I uploaded a link only and it gave me a false low score. I didn't realize I changed it when I signed up. The tool is helpful in pointing out how to tweak your resume. Before I started I was a 60-70% match and after I was a 90%+ match with a few short tweaks. If you use it right, it will save you a lot of time.

I subscribed to Jobscan 4 days ago and the system is not working properly on my side. I sent several emails requesting support, and their solutions did not work. The support team no longer sends emails, and I cannot communicate with Jobscan.
Problem - No matter which resumes I request in the ATS scan, Jobscan always refers the analysis of an old resume already deleted from the system.
Tip for consumers:
The ATS system looks great, but the support is terrible.
Some good analytic features but those are blocked by POOR User Interface. Power Edit and Resume Builder good ideas and direction but UI and underlying business logic obviously missing in action- jobs can will need to adjust price for me to stay subscribed

Until ATS can be enhanced with semantic modeling, we are at the mercy of making sure we "strategy initiatives" on one resume and "strategic initatives" on another. Jobscan does a great job of pointing out the keywords for hard and soft skills in the job posting, and where you might have skill gaps.
Jobscan provides helpful, detailed insights, which is critical for your resume and cover letter to be ATS optimised. It was easy to use, and I greatly improved my CV and cover letter according to its recommendations. It gives you a multifaceted view beyond just the wording or phrases check, so I still had a lot of flexibility to adjust my documents to fit my voice.
Recently subscribed to service and am very pleased. This is exactly what artificial intelligence should do. Thousands of comparisons of words and objective scoring to tell you how to improve.
The cover letter writer has been giving me nearly perfect suggestions that require almost no edit before submitting. I simply make them a little shorter and copy, paste, and submit!
It's a clunky first shot at doing something to help job seekers. There is so much automation it could do to make job seeking much easier. Hopefully it will head that way and make the tool worth the price.

From 0 to 10 in minutes I could beat the bloody robotic system for recruiting or at least optimise my chances! Thanks a million
I tried jobscan for a number of job postings where the company hiring didn't use larger ATS systems and was consistently given a list of things that weren't keywords (for example, if the ad said something like the job requires the ability to sit, stand, and occasional lifting of 25 lbs, "lifting" came back as a keyword on more than one occasion). It also doesn't recognize plurals or different verb tenses as the same "keyword" when it should. I tried to make this work but left disappointed. I'd do better on my own generating my own list of "keywords" from a listing and editing my resume accordingly. If you work in tech, it might be useful. For the rest of us, it's a waste.

Easy to use and can be helpful in content. It is frustrating that it just seems dumb.
"Project planning" vs "Project plans", vs "Planning projects" are not picked up as a match.
"Plans" vs "plan" would not be picked up as a match.
There really is no excuse for not building this in.
I've done a number of resumes reaching over 85% match and no response from companies, so I feel like it's not hitting the mark, but difficult to know why.

This tool is useful, but there are some issues that are difficult to deal with. For the cost, it seems silly that the scanning tool cannot differentiate tenses. I will have the word "growth" or "grew" within the resume and it will not consider it a match unless the word "grow" is there. Also, the idea that one should have the exact job title as is used on the job description doesn't make much sense and that is also counted as points against an effective resume.

I like the keywords it catches but a lot of improvements can be made, here's SOME problem areas:
1.) I have to import and format each resume. This alone takes a long time.
2.) Once a keyword is used, it doesn't offer suggestions anymore.
3.) Generator for adding keywords/phrases doesn't offer additional options, specifically helping to use in context of your specific experience.
4.) It would be nice to see how certain things are valued/weighed in regards to the score.
5.) Templates should be more customizable. For instance, I want my skills listed at the top, and not as a string with commas.
6.) I don't like that keywords are pulled initially from the resume uploaded that don't make sense, and it's time-consuming to have to delete each one.

Kindly Rewrite my CV according to ATS standard because I'm targeting to apply for Operations Officer position.

This product is amazing and the price is really worth it. This tool helps get your resume ready for the ATS scans and has so many other features. One feature I wish it had was when you obtain another interview it didn't overwrite the initial interview details. Otherwise I have recommend this product to many fellow friends who are looking and others who have never heard of the product. Game changer!
Had asked for the search function for previously-applied job, but received no solution from Support after nearly 2 years. Disappointing.
We should be able to download the entire Scan History in order to assess comb data & gauge our job search progress.
Jobscan has (at least) two tools that strengthen my applications: The Scan tool compares your application materials (resume, cover letter) to the job posting and returns a score that measures how well your application matches the posting. It then identifies the words and phrases that you can add to improve that score. Power Edit is similar but let's you edit your resume within the app and shows the change in you match score with each edit you make. I've had resumes that start at 38% and improve to 84%!
Using Jobscan, I feel more confident that my applications will pass the ATS and be seen by real humans who will hopefully set up an interview.
They debit your account even after you email them to cancel. I would not recommend jobscan as there is no online facility to cancel the subscription neither do they cancell all charges even after an email confirmation.
It does everything pretty well and is easy to use, but MY GOD - WHY IS THERE NO SPELL CHECK? I had an opportunity to get my resume in though a managing director of one of my top target companies, and realized there was a misspelled word. With all of the words that are highlighted, it makes it so difficult to catch.
Tip for consumers:
Add a spell check, or the love of God.
Jobscan provides a good service for recent graduates like myself who are applying for a lot of role but no one is getting back to us. It helps me tailor my resume to pas the ATS system
Hard to follow the instructions for a better cover letter
I started a 3 month subscription to trial Job Scan and to see if it made any difference in terms of key words etc. I have used the service a number of times and my CV has got to the bench mark % and I have submitted the CV. At this stage I have not had a noticeable up tick in response and therefore will be reviewing whether it is worth continuing with the product

This took has been a lifesaver. So easy to use and helps guide me. The best part was that they offered a free webinar session showing updated features and how to best utilize the tool. One of the best events I have been to. It has helped me shave time off of applying for jobs and understanding all the features.
The LinkedIn profile scan was simple and easy to do, with good feedback and alignment.
The resume compared to the job description (JD) needs some upgrades.
1. It does not maintain the resume format well, so I have zero confidence I can update my resume using the tool. It misses my Key Highlights area that has a lot of the critical words.
2. I want it to hold the JD but allow me to upload a new version of my resume.
3. The cover letter writing doesn't seem like its generated from the resume and JD. It should look at both and then tell the best story. Then I can go from that version with updates.

Jobscan came about when founder James Hu was job seeking. He found the resume tailoring and keyword identification process too manual. After learning more about how an ATS works, he launched Jobscan in February 2014. Jobscan is a profitable and growing software company based in Seattle, Washington with a vision to build enterprise-grade tools for job seekers.
