Yes. I received an invitation to join nextdoor and when I got on the site it asked me to link my email address and street address to locate my neighborhood, and I don't want to link those two things together on the internet. Is there any way for me to join my neighborhood next with just my invitation code?

Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.

There are reasons one cannot join with a PO Box because the member, when joining, must be able to be verified as living in that particular Nextdoor community and PO Boxes do not verify that. There's no privacy issues that neighbors of yours themselves wouldn't know. All that is necessary is your name and you don't even have to have your street number published. You can simply go by your name and all the rest of the Nextdoor community can see is that you live on such and such street. You don't have to divulge the house number.

Next door gets a bit too personnel with information... you cannot register with nextdoor using a PO BOX... privacy is a big issue with nextdoor

Run away, fast. They are data mining you. You're lucky to escape unscathed.

Not true CP. You do have to divulge the house number to join, often a utility bill or credit card number. The house number is available for all to see when you join as this IS the default setting until you edit your personal info to only state your street, which is still too much info for the public to see for many and no one joining knows any of this. Additionally, the leads still have access to this info regardless of your settings and the majority of leads haven't a clue about what privacy is, nor have the scruples to follow rules or common sense, as they gossip and bully. They are NOT trained, nor are they given any additional info that a regular member is given. Surprise, surprise! This is how pathetic this site is run. Do yourselves and family a huge favor and stay OFF of it!
