Axosbank

My husband has over an 800 credit score and a 7% debt ratio. They declined his personal loan because he forgot the email address he used to apply saying they couldn't verify his identity. That's petty! They had us jumping through hoops during the application process providing far more documents than SoFi needed, who offered the same rate and much more easily and quickly approved him.

Because after I previously complained to the CFPB platform about axos Bank collecting customer information at will and not opening an account, now axos Bank is retaliating in bad faith by simply not opening my account, even though I provided all the necessary documents to open a checking account. This malicious retaliation is a serious violation of the Consumer Fairness Act. I am determined to file a complaint for this reason and hope that justice will be done!

I can't believe there are so few reviews here on this bank. If you see the articles on the Internet from sites like nerdwallet giving this bank amazing recommendations don't believe it. I can't imagine any of these articles have not been paid for. Because of the limited reviews here, I urge you to seek out reviews on sites like trustpilot and the BBB before giving Axos bank your personal information or money. Disregard the total star review these sites have and focus on and read all the negative reviews.
Unfortunately when I signed up for axos, all these negative reviews were not available and I sure wish they were.
You will find hundreds of similar serious complaints about Axos bank. These include in no particular order terrible customer service, outdated banking software, fees, unacceptable incompetent practices, deceptive practice etc. You can only communicate with them via secure messaging. It is nearly impossible to speak to a real person and their customer service is 100 in the Philippines. They hold your deposited checks for yo to 14days. Please please please believe these reviews. I am not a bad customer, just a fool to believe nerdwallet. I am not just a random person with a bad experience. Please just use another bank or a local bank you can go to and talk to a real person. Please don't make the mistake I hand hundreds of others who have taken to the Internet to complain have.
You can use apps like zelle with this company. They have no system of online payments you would expect from an Internet bank. They charge for everything. I never actually realized the money from the high Interest they promised. You can't fight them as there is no way to contact them or speak to someone in the US.

Use your common sense when reading the five star reviews. They are fake or paid for or solicited.

Even if you think Axos can't hurt you because you are just using the site for something simple, trust me, they can. Look at their terms for how much they will charge you to close your account.
Look that it is impossible to easily find their terms and a current list of all they charges they have when you use their bank. Their Web site is deceptive and difficult to use and find information for a reason. If you see how hard it is to find their terms and charges, it is ten times harder and more frustrating to deal with them once you sign up.

I wish I never signed up. It was so costly for me because of Axos mistakes, penalties and charges and hours of wasted time and frustration.
