Not a paid review. Long story short but a majority of places do not offer the maintenance coverage roadside assistance and other perks of leasing through fair. However if you're like me your credit is either poor or non-existent which means you won't qualify for most of those fancy lease deals that dealerships offer. That's where this app wins out. They will take a soft pull of your credit and if you have any repos
We were waiting for the shuttle to take us to the rental office and were the first family the driver acknowledged us and told us to wait. He went in and got a whole bunch more people who beat us the van, filled it and then left us 6 stranded for another 30 min. 2 seniors in the group could not walk fast enough and the driver didn't care. The car my son and daughter in law were given was awful. Taillight light falling off, no working USB ports, over 225,000 miles. Never again and beware. Not friendly staff and hard sell on the extras.
I was extremely hesitant to get my car through this new Fair app- but I tried it out and was pre-approved! So lo and behold I seen a 2017 Jeep Renegade and they had the exact color I wanted. Low start payment and decent monthly payments as well. Do what you can afford! Check-out took about 10 minutes and the next day I received an email saying Everything was good you're leasing it and can return the car when you're ready to get a new one! Very smart and love the idea!***"
The employees of Fair at the Oakland lot are nothing short of amazing. The customer service is out of this world and the Fair representative Fred is great
Rented a car with Fair. After thoroughly checking contracts and their offerings
They ripped me off tried to charge me late and a terrible experience.
I never knew that you can have a car without the commitments he only only thing I do t like is that certain cars aren't available

Tina was really helpfull she really helped me go through the process n picking up the car very smoothly
I have not yet gotten a car with fair but still pretty good. I don't know if they have a suggestions box or something similar but I believe that would be very helpful for them. No one else has done this so I believe the best thing for them to do is listen to what the users have to say. For example their search options/bar is very. Minimal? They could add more options to it like most dealerships' websites. Anyhow great idea and I can't wait to get my first car with them!"
Very enjoyable experience Cassie and joe were extremely helpful was in and out of dealership in a jiffy
But I think it could be improved. This is a subscription era and I really don't mind they pre-screening or checking my credit score as long as they give me the flexibility. I highly advise the founding team to come up with a package like that. I mean those dealers have too many cars sitting there anyway! That is being said I'm going to try the service very soon and see how it goes."
I was attracted by the idea of little commitment to the car. However
Why does it say there is nothing available at all? This app seems like a great way to get into a vehicle but there aren't any to try to get.
I don't usually make reviews but I want to share the wonderful experience I've had. Fair made it very easy and was very professional. Levi Martinez from customer support went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience and took care of me like he was a family member. First time I have ever felt so safe and secure to do business with a company. Thank you so much for making my rental experience the most professional and easy. I will continue to be a happy and loyal customer
So disappointed- after hearing about this app I was excited to try it out. Only to find you have to have a California address. As a Vermonter I am sooooo bummed! Hope this takes off and makes it the east coast soon!
I had the best experience thanks to a representative by the name Nola. I was having some difficulty
From the start I understood this was not the way to get into a vehicle for me. However since I'm a vehicle enthusiast (car guy) I had to check out the app and see what it was all about. My take: if you don't know cars and a Tacoma TRD. Each was over $500/mo with over $1K down. Seems to me I could do better searching on CL or EBay for private party vehicles of similar age/miles and have financing lined up through my own bank. I don't care for the misleading example images. Example: for a Dodge Challenger they show a photo of the 700 hp HellCat version when you click on it to get more info you can see actual images of the car listed and it's a standard 5.7L Hemi version of the car. Again something a non car person will not ever notice or care about. All in all this is a simple way for average drivers to get educated about what they could get for their $."
My experience with Fair so far has been a great one. I picked up my Jetta at the end of February 2019 and the experience at the Jetta dealership was smooth
Would have been nice to know ahead of time that it checks your credit score. Your description does not mention it and it is deceptive. I even tried to use it for Uber so I can pay bills since my car is no longer in Uber's Vehicle guidelines. I got denied. Seems like they want to help themselves than others. It's harder for people who were young and messed up there credit and trying to get back on track. I thought I was going to a chance to redeem myself with Fair
Fair is a new way to get a used car that lets you lease a pre-owned vehicle completely digitally – and for as long as you want. Use your phone or the web to shop cars with monthly payments that fit your budget, get approved in-app, sign for the one you want with your finger, then drive it month-to-month for ultimate flexibility, or on a 2-year or 3-year lease if you want the best value.
Headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif., Fair launched in August 2017 as an app-based digital leasing platform for pre-owned vehicles. Since then, the Fair app has been downloaded almost 4 million times and the company has grown into the world’s leading used car leasing platform, serving customers throughout California and Florida.
