I am Tom Boone on the gulf coast of Mississippi. I spent $10,000 to include a Generac generator with my new house which is 100 yards from the waters edge of the Gulf of Mississippi.
The brand new Generac generator that I bought was defective out of the box, and in trying to get it fixed - or replaced - all Generac Corp up in Wisconsin has done to me - right in the middle of hurricane season - is lie to me, deceive me and delay me.
Their customer service manager, a man named Rob Preuss is grotesque. I literally cannot quantify how many lies that he told me as I begged for help during the gulf coasts dangerous and frightening hurricane season.
Every single Generac dealer that I spoke to told me that Rob is a convicted liar, and to not speak to him again.
Furthermore, they all told me that Generac knows that they have major quality problems, and they simply refuse to address them.
And get this - and this should tell you all you need to know - they all told me, in their own words - that they are now telling their customers to NOT buy Generac product anymore.
I am going to shout from every mountain top that I can find how deceitful and arrogant that the Generac people are, and that if you, like me, buy a defective Generac generator, you will be put through six kinds of hell to find a remedy, and likely, like me, just end up giving up in frustration and anger.
Don't believe me? I have scoured the internet review sites and have read hundreds and hundreds of reviews by people that also, like me, have been royally screwed by the scammers at Generac.
I hope that they get what they deserve, and end up filing bankruptcy.
Personally, I hope these crooks - mostly Rob Preuss - end up in front of a judge and jury, and in jail, where they belong.
What a bunch of thieves!
