33 boxes in and my family still loves it. Consistently good produce, we had only once in the last year that a vegetable went bad before we made the meal. Very varied and many healthy options. Portions are just right for us. It has helped us save on take out tremendously, and so much tastier and healthy.

Done go for me only to find out the driver went back and retrieved it but stayed could not deliver to me. I requested immediately refund and they tried not to refund me for delivery cost. This was my second and last! My first came at night with cooler packs that were defrosted and hot food bags all wet n contents, too expensive for them to screw up! Stay way
We tried the vegan 3 meal/week kit and all three pre selected recipes had rice as the main side (you can pre-select your meals, but there are really only 3-5 vegan options each week.) Like Hello Fresh, the recipes were easy to follow and enjoyable, and delicious! The issue came in when I saw the supposed calorie count for each recipe: 720 per serving (squash risotto bowl) 800 (cauliflower Baja rice bowl) and 1200 for a kale and bean soup, I called bull$#*!. When I did the actual calculations for each recipe, they were maybe half the calories indicated. Even with a generous discount, we still paid $8/meal and were left hungry at the end. I literally lost a pound and a half this week and I am trying to gain weight. Rip off for sure.

I tried to cancel like you can do with other services and that didn't work, I also.changed the shipping address since I'd moved to a different state since the first box I ordered and then canceled service...Yes I stupidly gave them a second chance...and then they ignored THAT and now the box I paid over $50 for is going to South Carolina today...IM IN MASSACHUSETTS! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
What you feel is ready simple food prep organic ingredients blah blah what not. Actually comes in million little plastic pouches that are not 100% recyclable! These meal kits are real threat to environment and are not eco friendly! Don't fall for their easy meal prep sales pitch! It's absolute disaster. Also not all ingredients may be dodgy between high calories to high protein it's either or not both! I remember canceling before going on vacation but i still got.message saying your delivery is next week! They sent the meal kit with some default meat option which we don't even eat! I endured this for a loss of my appetite and haggle around to get my money back! They make it painful to cancel the subscription and not to mention the bs lucrative junk mail they keep dumping in your mailbox!
So save yourself some money health and some integrity to save the planet!
If I could give zero stars I would! I was looking around via FB ad. I was made to create an account to see food options. Wasn't my thing so I exited out of the app. Come to find out today that once you create an account whether you want the service or not or even like the food or not somehow they will sign you up and send you a box and charge your Apple account. I didn't like the food selections they had so I didn't make any food selections so I can say I'm pretty irritated that they sent a box of food I'm definitely not going to eat and won't give me a refund because I supposedly created a valid account. I have taken this up with Apple who said it wasn't the first time this has happened and has refunded me my money.

This company is a total rip-off! I canceled my plan immediately after the first delivery. Green Chef is still charging my card $100.00 per week for rotten food. I do not dare to eat a bite because it is unthawed and warm in the box that it was delivered in. I opened my box right away after it was delivered, and the food was hot, melted and wet from the ice packs that are put in the food. The food and the meat arrive off the delivery truck spoiled. This company practices very dangerous methods for shipping raw meat and vegetables. Then will charge your credit card after you cancel, stating they never received your cancelation! Customer service is very rude, and barley can speak clear English. When you call they say they do not care and cannot refund your money.

Thoughtfully gifted a voucher after birth of our child so we could have an easy week of cooking.
Voucher applied and then we cancelled the reoccurring plan as to not get charged for further weeks.
However no delivery details were given. Turns out if you cancel the reoccurring plan (what actually costs you money) they will cancel all of the order, including the food ordered via the voucher. This was not stated when cancelling the reoccurring payment.
Upon calling customer services they stated we would need to talk to the voucher company to resolve- absolutely useless. Asked to put in an official complaint, they said they would make a note.
Took the value of the voucher and didn't provide any food, ridiculous company.
I first preheated oven for the chicken ricotta, no chicken so I opened the shrimp sou bag no shrimp, i am cancelling any future deliveries and requesting a refund

I tried green chef. I Went through the dishes. The ones I bought were delicious. And food was very fresh. Note I did not see any meals under $7.00. The chef meals cost extra, as a recipe cost (approx $20+). I would of like to know about this added on cost ahead of time. I am disabled, I have a girl that comes by one day for 3 hours. She has time to cook 1 quick meal. So I like to order 4 servings for my husband and I. That way we have 2 meals. Green chef requires 2 separate meals. This I also would of liked to know ahead of time. This does not work for me. I when order 4 serving that should be a sufficient amount. Especially when I am paying an additional $20 plus for the recipe. I dropped them do to lack of convenience. But again meals are tasty.

I was able to try out a few of their kits and actually found the food to be really good. I would have stuck with them, but they are on the pricier side. It's almost cheaper to eat out at a healthy casual restaurant and without the cooking and cleaning.
The only thing that knows them down to four stars is their cancellation system. Not only can you not cancel online and must email them to do so, but you also have to cancel 7-days before your next order. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this policy and canceled too late. HOWEVER, they were prompt to cancel my subscription and offer me a discount.
Based on my experience, the negative reviews concerning their customer service seem are without merit. They were prompt and were able to help resolve my problem.
I'd definitely recommend to anyone that wants a keto meal kit and has the means to pay for it.
I had an old account before with them and registered a new card. They took from both account and stole 200$ from me. I will never order from them again. They said it was all legal and approved which I never did. Thieves

I'm disgusted with Green Chef. Being forced to enter payment details just to view the menu should have been a major red flag, but I figured it was okay to go ahead. Upon realising I didn't like the recipes, I cancelled, WITH NO ITEMS IN MY ORDER, but they still charged me for a box of pre-selected meals that I never asked for. Their FAQs are useless and their "help" desk chatbot was worse. I'll never use a company like that again. Feels like a total rip-off.

Received my first box after trying to switch from Hello Fresh. Upon opening I noticed a rancid smell. My two bags of shrimp were completely thawed and both bags popped open ALL over my other bags of food. My two other items of meat were not frozen at all. Whoever packed my box did not do their diligence in ensuring the ice was packed correctly. All my food was covered in shrimp juice and warm. Will NOT be ordering from them again.

Do not use this meal service. On the app, it gives you an option to skip deliveries. Even though you selected, they will continue charging your week after week. This is not a reputable company. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They have charged me for three deliveries that I canceled. I had to cancel my credit card just saw that they can stop charging me. I attached a photo of my last gift delivery that they charge me $82 for. This company is trash.

I was going to try them out because I wanted a new option and I started signing up and then they ask for address and credit card THeN they show you the menu… I realized their menu palette is too complex for my needs and kid (eating with me) I went to cancel/deactivate it let me deactivate but forced me to get 3 meals still and I wasn't allowed to pick from them. Such a SCAM. Don't do it!
More often than not my boxes both while I was living I'm Vermont and North Carolina arrived days late as Green Chef uses FedEx ground residential delivery. Frequently the food was spoiled. The meats arrived warm as the ice packs had long thawed. I would not recommend this service.

Food is pretty good. However, orders frequently arrive with missing ingredients or rotten ingredients. Last straw was missing protein in a meal. Customer service said all they could do was refund the cost of what was missing. What do we do with the rest of the package? Full refund not available. Been with them for a year. Will never go back. Looked at Hello Fresh and guess what - they own Green Chef.

I should have realised when it asked for your bank details before even showing you the menu that it was some form of scam. When I looked at the menu choices it was clear that I couldn't eat any of the meals (I am coeliac) so I immediately cancelled my subscription and deleted my account - this happened in the space of 10 minutes. This morning I woke up to an alert from my bank of a payment to this company. Attempted to use the online customer care - the bot is utterly unhelpful and there appears to be no email or phone number. Looks like I am not the only person to have this issue, absolutely disgusting.
