I have made two purchases through Greentoe. Both have been excellent. Although I was a bit apprehensive at first the proof is now in, and I highly recommend anyone to try this service.
I ordered a GE washer/dryer combo from Greentoe (GE PFQ97HSPVDS) and was immediately dissatisfied with the unit (drying and wrinkling issues). The Greentoe return policy states that returns are allowed within 30 days of delivery, but after a month-long battle to initiate a return I am now stuck with a very expensive unit that doesn't even work as well as my regular old washer and dryer.

Tip for consumers:
It works, shipping times vary depending on reseller. I was in no hurry, sound bar delivered in 4 days, TV took 10 days

Zero accountability or support. I suspect that this site works as intended and is fine some of the times; however, if any issue (delivery or otherwise) arises, then you are completely screwed. The ultimate seller blames it on the carriers/delivery companies, and they use 3rd tier providers so it is impossible for the customer or the seller to get anything other than an automated response.
In my situation, I ordered a new TV but the carrier attempted to deliver the incorrect TV about 8 days after the date of order. Following that failure, seller continued to assure me that the carrier would reschedule the delivery with the correct item... this never happened. When I cancelled the order, the seller would refund the purchase price only upon their receipt of the item back from the carrier. Mind you, this is of an item that was never delivered to me. I have no faith that the carrier (who could neither deliver the correct item to me or reschedule delivery of the item to me) will be able to return the item to the seller. So in this instance, the Seller and Greentoe want me to take the risk that the carrier will return the item to seller/Greentoe. For a some minimal savings on a TV, this platform is not worth the risks and headaches.
Everything went great! I had the TV in my house 7 days after my initial Greentoe purchase and it arrived in perfect condition. The vendors (who I'm not allowed to name) customer service was great too with prompt tracking information, answered all my questions, and providing me a receipt via e-mail since they forgot to include it in the box.
I have seen some negative reviews, but my experience was great!
I would definitely use Greentoe again!
Using totally unreliable shipping service my tv was traveling twice and returned will never use again
Took almost three weeks to get a TV. All the way from
Jersey to San Diego. Saved $200. They say it will be here Christmas Eve. Ordered Dec 8th. Be wary.
I purchased a new refrigerator the was supposed to be in stock. I then received an e-mail stating that the supplier does NOT have it in stock and it will be 4-6 weeks before it would ship. Greentoe then offers me another one for $1,000 higher. They send you an e-mail with a link to click on to review the optional higher priced model. When I clicked on the link to see the details, it automatically charged my credit card without my authorization. They will NOT call you and you CANNOT call them. GRENTOE is very uneithical and shady company! Buyer beware!

Never received the product!
Reached out after 10 days of no response just for them to tell me item would be 4-6 weeks. Not what it said on their website or in the FAQ. They also said they sent me an email stating this which I showed them was not the case. Website seemed too good to be true and for me turns out I was right.
I can't speak for the typical "bidding" system, but I can speak about the new "Greentoe NOW" system. I was just searching Google for a built in BBQ Grill when I spotted a price that seemed too good to be true, almost entirely by accident. I nearly skipped right past it, but I decided to do some research. Mixed reviews about the results, but it was definitely a real website so I decided to give it a shot and placed my order. That very same evening I received an email confirming my order was received. I was still skeptical but hopeful and excited. Long story short I got my grill 2 days later and saved a total of $1400.00 price, tax and shipping on a grill that every dealer said they couldn't deal on!
I ordered Samsung washer. They processed my PayPal payment. I waited close a month with no updates. It kept showing processing. I got an email from PayPal for refund notification. Strangely, Grentoe site showed shipped. I contacted CS, who informed me that the order was cancelled and to send them screenshot order showing shipped. I did exactly that. Still no response! It feels like scam. This should be illegal! They earn interest in your payments.
Greentoe is a scam site! They have stolen my money and will not refund me at all. I don't know what to do. I may have to call my credit card and ask them to step in because I have sent back my item and still no refund. These guys are bunch of crooks!
Tip for consumers:
Disgusting scam site.

The site lets you tell them what is the max you will pay and let suppliers bid on your offer. In reality the suppliers approve your bid, and then take the money from paypal with no real intention of sending you the item. After a bunch of emai9ls and complaints they give you back the money, but in reality you just gave them a 4-6 weeks loan of over $1000 with no real return and a lot of time wasted!

Made 2 offers on 2 consecutive days for a TV and warranty coverage. NO listings found under "My Offers" when I logged in (3 days in a row!)
Email for customer service recommended that I log out then in again to refresh. Yeah, right! No sign of my offers! Dumb me gave the credit card info they require on file "to be used only if offer is accepted"! Now its time to cancel credit card and have new card re-issued!
Caveat Emptor!

THIS IS A SCAM! Don't waist your time. On January 3 I submitted an offer for a Sony OLED 65" TV and it was accepted January 7. Now 3 weeks later, while my account still indicates my accepted offer is "being processed", I have heard nothing from the company and my many attempts to contact them via email and telephone have been completely ignored. In my opinion, the positive reviews found online must be submitted by Greentoe stakeholders.
With hesitation due to mixed reviews, I recently used Greentoe and made a ridiculously low offer on a Sony 70-200 2.8 GM II ($2200) thinking, "There's no way any authorized retailer would accept that offer."
Not surprisingly, after two days, I received a counteroffer for $2399. I didn't respond and let it sit, waiting for the offer to expire.
The day before my initial offer expired, I received notice that my initial offer of $2200 was accepted! I was shocked.
Before submitting payment, I emailed Greentoe customer service, asking for reassurance and re-confirmation of what they advertise:
- Merchandise will be sold by a USA-authorized Sony dealer and covered by a Sony USA manufacturer warranty.
- Items being sold are brand new, unopened
- The merchant accepting the offer actually has the item in stock and is ready to ship (I asked this after reading several reviews that stated the retailer delayed shipment for several weeks/months before finally either admitting the item was out-of-stock, issuing a refund, or having the customers' CC company do a chargeback)
I asked Greentoe customer service to confirm the above, stating that I would immediately ask for a refund if this transaction didn't pass the "smell test".
- I also stated if this deal was good, I would make sure to share my good experience with dealing with Greentoe in as many forums as possible
- Conversely, if this deal went bad, I would make sure to share my bad experience in the same platforms. In addition, I would consider filing a small claims suit if I didn't get my money back.
Greentoe customer service ("Jeff") assured me of all of the above, even stating that they would issue a refund if the retailer didn't ship out the item by end-of-day after I made payment.
I ended up taking a chance and paid the merchant through Paypal.
Surprisingly, the very next day, I received a UPS shipment notification.
UPS delivered the lens a little less than a week later. Well, all I can say is that GREENTOE HAS EARNED MY BUSINESS AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GIVING THEM A TRY!
My lens arrived today, well packaged. It was clearly brand new with a USA Warranty card. I immediately registered the lens at Sony USA without any issues.
Wow, I still can't believe I was able to get this lens (70-200 2.8 OSS II) brand new for only $2,200 - which includes shipping and tax! That is less than what I could have purchased a new gray market lens on Ebay and about what I could likely purchase an excellent condition USED lens for.
If you're on the fence with Greentoe, give them a try. And make sure you ask for confirmation from Greentoe's customer service (i.e., the seller has the item IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP, etc.), as I did before pulling the trigger. You won't regret it!
(I have no connection whatsoever to Greentoe and am sharing my own experience - your experience may vary).

I purchased a dishwasher on Black Friday. Bid was accepted by Appliance Connection (had I known they used this vendor I never would have placed the order due to bad shipping and customer service experiences in the past). I received shipping verification and that the order would be received by the following Friday. Appliance Connection then canceled my order without any notification via phone or email. Then stating the unlikely story that their shipper dropped them. Greentoe stated they would make the situation right however never followed up.

FRAUD. I ORDERED A WALL OVEN ALMOST THREE MONTH AGO. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED IN 6 WEEKS. NOBODY EMAIL OR CALLED. AFTER 8TH WEEK, I EMAILED THE WEBSITE, AND I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST TWO MORE MONTHS. I ASKED FOR REFUND, AND THEY INSISTED TO REFUND MY MONEY TO THE ACCOUNT THAT I HAD ALREADY CLOSED COUPLE MONTH AGO. THEY CHARGE FAST, BUT NEVER EXPECT TO RECEIVE THE ITEM OR REFUND. WORST

Greentoe proved to be absolutely unresponsive and worthless once they match a merchant to a purchase. Infact making frudulent claims in inventory. And when we had a problem with a damaged unit you are on your own. They won't respond to any customer support request or even their ceo. They seem poorly equipped to high value goods they are brokering.

Learn from my error!... I wish I had paid a few dollars more and purchased my appliance from a reputable and reliable seller. My refrigerator arrived damaged and it's now been 8 weeks and the unit is still sitting on my back deck waiting to be picked up and i have not received my refund so can't go purchase another unit and now the holidays are coming.
On 12/30 I "got the deal" on a new camera body and the price was good (2 stars); no tracking, no updates, in the dark until my Amex was charged ten days ago. I'm still waiting.

I have been looking for a new LG G2 Tv for a house we will be moving into in a few weeks. I have been following the prices and saw Greentoe had one on offer over $1k less than anywhere else.
I paid by credit card to make sure I was protected. Ordered Wednesday, on Friday the order was confirmed. They took my money that day. Over a few days I received text messages with updates.
Today 14 days after my original order the TV was delivered. Everything was great.
No complaints and I will be ordering another one shortly as I did want two but wanted to check things with the first one.
Happy customer here.

Ordered a x900h 85 for $2200. I got the offer accepted. The money was charged. It's stuck on shipping, contacted Greentoe and they responded 3 days later that it will be shipped X date. X date has passed. Another email sent, still waiting response.
Their phones are down or so they chose for them to be unavailable by phone. So basically they took the money and have little contact now.

Ordered a kitchen range at a great price. After about a week found out they couldn't come through on deal because of high cost shipping to me in Hawaii. Promised a refund in 7-10 days... didn't get anything, Called again and same promise and same no result. Called again same promise and same results. Now I cant get a person on the phone when I call...?
Anyone that has tried to save money on electronics probably went to a disreputable 'grey market' dealer. For the most part, prices on things like Cameras are fixed by the manufacturer. Prices that are lower are "almost" universally grey market products.
For example, if you see a vendor selling a Nikon camera cheap, and go to the list of US authorized Nikon dealers - you likely won't see that vendor on the list.
I researched their business model and I was skeptical. But it's legitimate. I bought an expensive outside television and it was shipped from an authorized dealers several hundred dollars below retail price. I had my order in less than a week.

I bought a dishwasher and microwave for our kitchen remodel. We saved about $150 on the dishwasher ($850 instead of the $1000 that most places sold it for), and about $35 on a microwave that we got for $465 instead of $500. If you're buying big-ticket items, it can add up. The only minor concern is in regards to timing. We had a cushion because we were buying in advance of our remodel, but if you're in a pinch, you might find communication a bit lacking. That said, I don't think it's Greentoe's issue... I think that is more on the retailer that ultimately sold us our products.
Name your price on camera bodies, lenses, bags, pro lighting, photography accessories and more. Our network of authorized retailers is waiting to hear your offer. No grey market, all USA authorized retailers.
