For years I've struggled with Craigslist musician ads. The constant re-posting, low-quality posts/musicians and of course the scams & spam have been just exhausting. Discovering Musicians Connect was SO refreshing! I love how easy it is to use and unlike sites like Bandmix, it's actually totally free to sign up AND contact musicians. There is no bait and switch. Great job, guys!
Tip for consumers:
This site did require me to disable my ad blocker in order to use it. That kind of annoyed me at first, but honestly, the ads are very subtle (no pop-ups!) and the service is free, so I really don't mind.
It took a long time to find a site for finding musicians that truly is free. I kept encountering the bait and switch where it's "free" to sign up but as soon as you want to actually message another musician, they ask for payment. Not cool. I love musiciansconnect.net because it works as promised... 100% free. There are ads but that is not a problem for me. I've already found a bass player on the site. Now I just need a drummer.
Tried them all, bandmix, reverbnation, etc... this site actually works and is really free as advertised. Finally!
