This NGO should be seized by our Military. Any organization and members that uses tactics like this deserve to be hung for high treason. The damage it causes to unsuspecting people is irreversible. How dare you? Your psychological operations on US soil is a violation of religious rights! Define pedophile and stop hunting unsuspecting people who you believe are crazy because they were survivors of traumatic incidents and need your help! No one needs your psyops! You ppl.are sick not us! No mercy for you or your souls!

Tip for consumers:
$#*! you for interfering with God's plan for my life!

Products used:
They were forced on me I didn't ask or consent to them

Okay, so I initiated an online chat with someone from NAMI. I said I had a particular problem, and I needed to know which sort of therapy would help with it. The woman asked for more info, so I clarified.

She said, "We don't make referrals to counselors or lawyers here." (I hadn't mentioned anything of a legal nature, and her comment made me feel attacked.) "Do you want information on how to find a healthcare provider?"

And I said, "Uh, no, everyone knows how to use Google. I want to know which sort of therapy would help me with my aforementioned issue."

She said, "I'm not a licensed counselor. Would it be helpful for me to tell you how to get a referral from your doctor?"

And I said, "It's okay. You're an idiot. I'm sorry I strained your one brain cell. Goodbye."

I mean, seriously, what does NAMI offer? They're probably getting government grants and pretending to be useful while taking the money. Ugh.

My experience with NAMI is so negative I could write several pages, but I'll try to condense. In my opinion it's an organization to help the "Unfortunate parents" of the mentally ill. NEVER EVER have I heard anyone imply that just maybe the guardians could have a mental illness but refuse to admit it. I have however heard the participants who do have mental illness become the topic of conversation when not present. Gossip is deadly NAMI so why not train your leaders about confidentiality? WHY NOT?

My second gripe is NAMI and their psych meds push. You act like you've never heard psych meds don't work for everyone. God FORBID if you DARE talk about alternative methods in one of these captive sessions to help yourself or others cope because you'll be shut down so fast you'd think you just committed a crime.

I'm seeing myself get too upset to finish. My recommendation to anyone suffering from
Mental illness: stay far away from NAMI. I'd LOVE to see a class action lawsuit filed against these schiesters but I'm willing to bet big pharma would bale them out because EVERYONE knows Big Pharma loves loves loves NAMI 😘😘I'd like to see more "participants" speak up about the abuse they may have suffered by attending one of these brainwashing sessions. I personally despise, loathe and abominate the fact that I was stupid enough to seek help from these very strange people with an agenda of doing anything but helping. More like NAMI is here to comfort the poor poor parents, but in my opinion most definitely not for the "participants". Definitely NOT an advocacy group for the mentally ill as I left with several bruises (but thank God I actually left). If you too had a harmful NAMI experience I'd love to hear from you. Just maybe a class action lawsuit could develop if enough people stepped up to share their horrendous experiences.

Tip for consumers:
Please read other reviews about NAMI’s VERY cozy relationship with Big Pharma. If that doesn’t open your eyes…….
