I am ex-forces and worked in Probation for 16 years - I am semi-retired and run my own Bed and Breakfast business. I do not lie, unlike the salesman below, who conned me out of £1000.

When the salesman (who I can't name - on request of Nationwide Renewables - although given he is apparently the area sales manager for the North West! - I suspect they all act the same). I was told he would take about '30 to 60 mins to explain the system and that is all the sales pitch would take. About 300 mins later, (usual old school sales tactic to wear you down, so you have no energy or interest in reading the contract and will just agree to the deal) - I stupidly signed the contract, having been re-assured by the North West area sales manager, that if my early pension release didn't come through, I would get my deposit back. He then took a £1,000 deposit.

After trying to get the money from my forces pension released for four months and failing, I contacted the company and the 'project manager' - Kelvin telling him about this and that I couldn't go through with the deal. He said he would need to speak to the North West area sales-manager but he was tanning his massive belly in America. Weeks later the North West area sales-manger salesman called round. He of course denied ever saying that I could get my deposit back - claiming he 'just wouldn't say a thing like that'! To get a sales come on you are a salesman! I asked him why would I sign a agreement not knowing if I could honour it? The 'Project Manager' then weighed in (after being called by the area sales manager) saying I needed to actually pay 33% of the entire bill (£4,000) - at this point I lost it - what a bunch of crooks and liars. I don't know what their systems are like, but I would never trust such people and I would doubt that their systems are any good either.

As he was leaving (the North West area sales-manager) said he 'was going to see his mother in law, who had real problems' - thanks for revealing the person you are really are Robert, all you care about is money, stop pretending you care about anything else. You certainly do not care for the people you try and con.

At NO POINT in the sales pitch was it mentioned if the contract could not be completed I would have to pay 33% of the total bill - as if I would have signed it if he did. In the 5 hours sales pitch, he didn't mention the very basics of the contract - this is why I can legitimately call him a con man.

I have tried to resolve this amicably but the company do not get back to you or return your calls or e-mails - from other reviews this appears to be what they do once they have your money. If you are reading this review this has not changed and they have still stolen my money.

Be warned and aware of who you are dealing with - I am not the only person to say this - also bear in mind a lot of their positive reviews may well be fabricated - (most of the 5 star reviewers only have reviewed one company - this one) always a give-away sign, you can expect it from a company like this - if they lie once then they will all the time.

Latest update - one week on - Calvin (the project manager) called to try and 'resolve' the matter on 7/07/23 and accepted that there was no survey taken at my house - this means that the contract is null and void (as it relies on the survey to be valid) - but offered me £250 back for the non-existent survey - what a spiv - needless to say he didn't get back to me that day to 'sort it out' and they still have my £1,000 for doing nothing other than boring the pants off me for 5 hours.

Latest, latest, update - 26/07/23 - The only attempt they have made was to try and force me to remove the names of the con men I have been in touch with, which I did, or Trustpilot would remove this review and they would get away with conning more people.

Would you really want to do business with people like this? I will stand by anything I have written in court - but they will never take me there - as they know it is all true - this is why they simply asked for names to be removed - as they themselves know it is all true!

Latest latest update - 15th November 2023 - called by a salesperson trying to pursued me again to take up solar energy with their company - I asked for the money back they had taken for doing nothing (which they promised to return) before I would trust them with anything - nothing - just would reduce the 'offer' by £1,000 - ridiculous how a company can lose so much money over this one review and not want to resolve it! But that is who you are dealing with here!
