Microsoft strikes again with another piece of half-baked junk.
In my 5+ years of using OneDrive, I have *repeatedly* faced the following bugs that have not been resolved for years.
- File changes being overwritten: I have lost hours of work due to OneDrive
- OneDrive support is useless: everytime I've contacted them, they waste 45+ min of my time to no avail
- Entire files & folders missing from one device while appearing on others
- Files being saved to "d.docs.live.net" instead of my local device, then failing to sync locally
- Office programs freeze/hang on "File > Save as" due to the above
Worst of all, I only sync between two devices, yet OneDrive manages to fail so consistently.
Office 365 and OneDrive are complete trash, and a massive waste of time.
I regret ever migrating to this platform.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use OneDrive and save yourself the headache.
I don't know what it is for Onedrive for Business, but Onedrive for consumers should be avoided. I've got some friends complaining about their accounts being block out of no reason, then it was my turn a few weeks ago. I lost all of my data but fortunately, I got a backup. I contacted Microsoft but have got no reply ever since. If you don't want to lose your data and hard earned money, avoid clouds like Onedrive. I recommend Google Drive or Box.
