Bought a year ago and product continues to shed what looks like dirt / fiber particles underneath. Vacuumed hundreds to times and it doesn't improve. Also it unravels when even a pet walks on it. There are pieces of wood that poke so no walking barefoot or sitting on it.
I don't think the fibers were treated prior to weaving. I am tossing it. Wrote to the company again today but doubt if I will be offered a partial refund. SAFAVIEH Natural Fiber Collection 8' x 10' Natural NF447A Handmade Chunky Textured Premium Jute 0.75-inch Thick Area Rug is the product and NOT WORTH A CENT.

JUNK 8 X 10 NATURAL FIBER RUG NOT CRAFTED WITH OBSESSIVE ATTENTION TO DETAIL AS ADVERTISED ON THEIR ENCLOSURE.
Bought two rugs. WIthin a few months of very carful use (we have rugs looking like new for decades), these rugs wore down with holes, pulls, complete wear. Safavieh refused to accept any responsibility. No one, at least not us, is interested in buying rugs that need to be replaced several times a year.
