I originally posted this on trust pilot and it was removed after snap raise accused me of being a competitor and that I was writing libelous claims about their company. Snap went on to say that they have thousands of positive reviews (harvested of course) and that they've never been accused of doing anything wrong. In fact, there are plenty of complaints on the internet which this company has been unable to delete or bury and you can find them if you search for Snap! Raise complaints. My review is my opinion based on being, I feel, scammed into donating to a friend's child. I provided the same information and information from other reviews on the internet to the school's principal and a snap was banned from that school.

My advice is to never support any organization or school through SNAP. First, they have fake websites with hundreds of fake 5 star reviews that they have optimized to come up first on searching for reviews for snap. All their 5 star reviews read like they were written by a SNAP marketer and never say the school or organization in the reviews. No good company has to do this. 20% of everything you donate goes to SNAP and more if the kids don't meet their outrageous goals. My friend's autistic kid was given a goal of $900. Once SNAP has your email OR when you donate they will SPAM you forever and there is no way to stop this. Opt out on the email and they SPAM you more. They have your personal information and credit card and will then use and sell this information. Complain to the school principal and your school boards. Only make donations directly to the schools when they are no longer contracted with SNAP so the kids get all the money. Complain at PTA meetings. Don't allow your kids to go out and make money for this organization. Read real articles on the internet that explain how bad SNAP is. There are a bunch of articles written by schools on how bad SNAP is. Any positive reviews of SNAP were likely written by SNAP.
Don't donate directly to the school while SNAP has been contracted as the agreement states the school must give 20% of anything they receive to SNAP. Do not provide email of your family and friends to this company as they will be spammed forever. Read their responses to any negative review. No one cares about what they have to say and it shows the kind of organization you will be dealing with. They have found a way to steal money from the kids and their responses to reviews show Snap has no shame doing this. Who says "Thank you for your wonderful one star rant on how terrible we are?"...and then defends stealing from kids or justifying all the ways and processes they use to steal from kids and use kids to enrich themselves. There is a sucker born every minute and the fact that SNAP is still around proves it. Nowhere in their Spam email do they say anything about the fact that they take at least 20% of every dollar donated or that once they have your info they may sell it and/or SPAM you forever... How do you trust anything SNAP says when they take more than 20% of everything you donate to the kids? I sent an article written by another school to the Principal and he was shocked. He was new to the school and was unaware but assured me that the school would not be dealing with SNAP again. It is hard for schools to raise money and SNAP is just a predator feeding on this. So please donate directly to your schools!

Edit based on company response:
Joe,
No I'm a parent. You actually tried to get my honest review taken down by saying you have no records of me using your company, which unfortunately I did.

The internet is litterally plastered with negative reviews of your company. Instead of listening to valid criticism you came down hard, tried rationalize your bad business, and said I am libeling you for my personal truthful opinions. I am not your competitor. In my opinion it is a sleazy business and you are in taking money that should go to the kids and I would not be in such a business.

I am annomous for just that reason, because people like you are vindictive, threatening libel. I provided copies of my transaction with your company to trust pilot. Yes, I would not give you a personal email because you cannot be trusted with personal information, but the email I provided was mine and you never used it to communicate with me. I provided my information to you once while trying to support a friends child and you used my email to spam the heck out of me. Everything I said was true and what I believe to be true.

I will provide evidence in a follow-up post as I have run out of space."

Here is the companies original response or what will fit here:

Tip for consumers:
This company goes to schools and promises schools that they can make them a lot of money which they appear to be able to do. But what they do is they go to children and ask the children to provide 10 to 20 emails of friends and family. Once they have this they start sending out emails to the friends and family as if the emails were coming from the children. Children have a quota for the amount of money that they are required to bring in. My friend's child I believe had a $900 quota. If the child

Products used:
This company doesn't really have products. They harvest emails provided to them from school children. Once they have these emails they generate multiple emails almost like a chain letter. They were the emails in a way that compels you to donate money. Once they have your email they continue to email you asking for money and to buy things from them. They sell shirts and t-shirts and sweatshirts I believe. I received an email that looked like it came from a friend's child but it was just something generated by the company. I felt compelled to donate because it was a friend's child. I couldn't find the amount of money this company was taking and it took me a while to find out that they take 20% and more of everything you donate to the school.
