"Rock and Roll" Rose plant arrived with 1 bloom and 6 fat buds. Leaves were firm and green. Planted same afternoon, and 3 days now and in full bloom. Great packaging. The bush was twice as big as I expected. Looks at home next to my existing roses also in bloom. Tyler, Texas.

No response. Randomly a week later they show up on my doorstep as dirt in a bag with a stick. No carton, no binding, nothing holding the roots in dirt. I left a 1 star review and lo and behold I heard back only to be told they "were elated that the product was deliver in 8 days of shipping" which was a complete lie. On top of this they refused to post my review on their site. I have now asked for a replacement of my dead sticks, awaiting a response yet again. Their "reviews" are not truthful as they do not post all of the reviews as witnessed with my 1 star review.

They didn't have items in stock and instead of refunding my money they twisted my arm to purchase alternative products. Then those plants which were supposed to arrive in August didn't arrive until mid November and when I expressed concern about the appropriateness for timing of planting they told me I could contact them if the plants did not survive. They did not survive, and upon calling them today, March 17, I was told that I would not be able to get the plants re-ordered and re-shipped until autumn. Buyer beware!

The guarantee is a lie. An order of 28 lilac bulbs last spring got lost by FedEx during sub-freezing weather and arrived looking horrible. Customer service said to wait 2-4 weeks for them to reanimate, then 3-5 weeks, then 4-6 weeks, then stopped responding when I said I wanted replacements because most were obviously dead or stunted. This company is run by thieves.
I paid $75 for 3 Beautiful Bride Clematis plants. I bought them in early May because the website said delivery was in two weeks. By late May, I still didn't have them. I contacted them, and they finally sent me my vines, which arrived last week on June 9. Of the three vines, one arrived dead and two are nearly dead and will probably not survive. A complete waste of money. I contacted them again after the vines arrived in such bad shape, and all they'll offer me is a $25 credit to their website… no refunds. Take your business elsewhere!
6 weeks ago I order $119 of plants all saying available to ship. No correspondence other than junk mail "offers" and every time I go to my orders I see either back ordered or "available to ship" that is 2 weeks out which continually changes to another 2 weeks. They charged me at time of order. Unlike Brecks which has awesome customer service this place is horrible and difficult to contact.
For years, I have received catalogs from Spring Hill Nurseries in the mail, but I never ordered. So I finally decided to give them a try. I ordered 3 different types of lilies. Absolutely none of them bloomed! I called customer service. They refused to give my money back and would not mail more bulbs. They just gave me store credit of maybe $5.00. I paid more than that for the flowers. I had to pay postage. I am afraid to order anymore from Spring Hill Nurseries.

Received frozen clematis plants. Plants arrived with black frozen foliage. They were shipped FedExp but it took nearly two weeks to arrive. Plants were small and not strong enough to survive two weeks in a dark uninsulated box with exposure to February temperatures. Shipped too early. Needed to be shipped in March/April for our zone. Reached customer service by phone. They are sending a replacement at NC. Recommend calling rather than filling out their form and waiting for a reply. The phone representative was great.

Do not purchase from this company! I purchased 8 roses. 4 arrived dead, I contacted them and I was told they did not have replacement to contact them when they offer roses again. I waited 6 months to contact them again. Instead of replacing the lost roses. I was given a credit for 2 roses. Their prices have doubled so now I can only buy 1 rose. What a horrible waste of my time. To plant them all and not even get a leaf. Not even a full refund.

Received part of my order and they seem fine. Second part shipped later. Good old FedEx delivered it somewhere else on 10-1-22. Now I called Springhill that same day. Ecplained it was not sent to me. They no longer had the items to reship. Asked for a refund, their answer, no we will credit your account. No, want a refund. After being on hold for 10 minutes, was told well, we will send you a check. Still no check. Told my husband that day they wouldn't send a refund. I was right. Just go to local nurseries. Lesson learned. Their first mistake is using FedEx. The second is not honoring their money back guarentee.

I was placing an order with the company and got multiple different prices from the emails, the catalog and the website. I emailed them and received a confirmation and a case number. Noone ever contacted me. I reached back out to them and basically the response was "yes we have different prices" and NO offer to even honor the lower prices or even attempt to fix the problem. Terrible customer service. After reading these reviews, I am glad that I did not place an order.

I purchased 3 rosebushes from these people, when I received them I planted and followed all of the instructions that were given. However, after 1 week all three are dead. I have planted and cared for rosebushes for many years and never have I experienced this. I sent an email and have heard nothing back. Doubt I will and out of alot of money.

I placed an order for $240 in hydrangeas in February and I was told delivery would be in February or March. It is now June and only one plant has arrived and it was extremely small. I called today and cancelled the order and the refund they are providing is $36 less than what I paid which is far less than the price of the one plant I received.
Needless to say, I will not do business with Spring Hill Nurseries again.
Most of my plants came very early, well before I could get outside to plant them. Most were dead or dying. I have requested a refund 7x now and I just keep getting the run around. Totally pathetic, waste of money. I tried to add a picture of 3 dead perinial sunflowers but the pic is too big... they were less than 3 inches, about as thick as a charging cord for your phone and very crispy dead.

I placed an order on 3/21/22 it is now 4/30/22 and I still don't have my plants. The ship date keeps moving forward, it was two weeks, then a month, now another month! I placed an order with Wayside Nursery and received my plants in two days. When I tried to cancel my order I was told that it is not possible to do so. I am totally fed up with this company. Beware!

I will never order from them again. I placed my order early in spring. After it was too late to order elsewhere they tell me they are out of stock on one item. The next item came at the start of summer, not when you are supposed to be planting. The third item I still have not seen. I purchased 3 types of plants. So far, only received one during the start of summer, which is the wrong time to plant it. I was notified 2 months after order that one of the plants was out of stock. At that point all the other nurseries were also sold out. The third plant is scheduled to be sent at the height of the summer heat. So, this nursery knows nothing about shipping in the proper time frame for planting. They also apparently can not track their stock if I order something to be planted in the spring and they wait 2 months to tell me they are out.
I ordered 2 Blue Zebra Primroses and a Vialii Primrose in March. I received the Blue Zebras on 3-27. One was a sad little thing with one leaf, while the other had three leaves. I potted them up because they were too weak to put in the ground. The stronger one is growing and trying to flower, and the other is still a sad little leaf.
I also ordered 3 Lenten Roses. They also came looking battered and weak. (You can see the damaged older leaves in the attached photo.) They're also in pots, although these are doing better than the Primroses. The Vialii hasn't shipped yet, and from what I see in the other reviews, I'm not hopeful.
I have been gardening for 40 years now, and have never had such a bad experience with a company.
Please, please, do yourself a favor and resist the temptation of their slick catalog. What you see isn't what you'll be getting. If I could give a minus rating, I would.
I recently ordered a number of ornamental grasses. They were fairly expensive, especially for what I got. They came in a plastic bag with about a tablespoon of dry potting soil in the bag with them. Most of them looked dead when I planted them, but planted them anyway. Of course, they never recovered. They did sent me some replacement plants, but they looked as bad as the first ones did. And now they are ALL dead. I will never order from here again.

This company is horrible. My "rush" order is once again three months late and every time I call I hear it's going to be another month before it ships. Another order I received as a gift for a $30 clematis arrived as a 4" plant that was dead. I shouldn't have gone back. NEVER order from this company who claims to be in Ohio but you can't talk to someone who speaks English.
Place is a total rip off. My wife order plants in late winter. Spring planting delivery was promised, then delayed and delayed. When the first items arrived a number of the bags contained just soil. Of course they charged the credit card and now it is too late to dispute the charge. Guess it is money gone.
No response to emails.

They did not send what I ordered and of course I had to wait six months for it to bloom to find that out. When I notified them of the error they gave me an instore credit instead of correcting the error and sending me what I ordered.
Why would I buy anything else from this company (even w/ store credit) if they do a bait and switch in fulfillment?
