August 28th, 2022

Back on April 3,2017 we had a storm came through Austin, Texas Transitional roofing came through my neighborhood soliciting business. I agreed to allow them to install my new roofing, Mac McGown continually stated to me that I had a 25-year warranty with GAF giving me the impression my roof was covered for 25 years. Well here we are in August of 2022 my roof is 6 years old I had four shingles that threw off I contacted the owner David to see if he could come and repair my roof he immediately informed me that if he came he would have to charge me $175. And that my warranty only covered 2 years, I am formed David that I could not afford that I'm on a fixed income he said if I would be patient he would come by and repair it for me for free. Several days have went by I text him to ask him if he was still coming and he has failed to respond we've gotten several days of heavy rain now after a drought of 60 days. I would not recommend this company, and would recommend that you find a company that at least gives you a 5 to 10 year warranty on your roof. A company confident enough to stand by their work for more than 2 yrs. And the GAF warranty only covers defective shingles, not any blow offs or labor. It's not worth the paper it's written on. I recommend reading the fine print before signing anything no matter how stressed you are from battling with your insurance company.
