I have tried to write a genuine but negative review on Trustpilot. They strongly resist any attempts to give negative feedback, presumably because they are paid by the companies we are reviewing. They put obstacles on the way of my being able to leave the feedback: e.g. time limit to make a review, needed documentary evidence (proof of text conversations aren't good enough). I've learned the hard way that Trustpilot itself can't be trusted.

Do not trust trustpilot. They do remove honest negative reviews that show real face of companies asking for proves, names that are impossible to get especially when you deal with crypto. At the same time they post hundreds of positive reviews from fake users supporting those scam companies. Even when scam companies got shut down with stolen money, trustpilot still protects them from receiving too many negative reviews. So it's simple - don't trust trustpilot and never make your decision based on trustpilot reviews, NEVER!

If a business pays for a business account, they can request the removal of reviews by requiring customers to jump through hoops to prove their authenticity. It's evident that they intentionally leave these reviews up for an extended period, only removing them after six months, banking on the likelihood that the reviewer won't revisit the issue once emotions have subsided. Use Google as you review platform they won't remove them for money.

I've had my account for quite some time. 63 reviews and a 64th added yesterday which was removed due to apparent perceived issues. A 5 star review for a watch company I purchased from. I even sent Trash Pilot my receipt and still the review was deleted. They can shove my help right up their behinds. Deleted my account and won't use them again.

I have had multiple negative reviews removed by Trustpilot even after pictures and evidence have been sent, they are clearly corrupt and are being paid by companies to remove truthful and honest reviews, they will now give me no reason at all as to why they removed my latest review of EVRI who we all know as Hermes "simply renamed", after my parcel turned up late, opened, and relieved of its contents, the courier can clearly be seen on CCTV throwing the package on the porch and doing a runner. Trustpilot can not be trusted.

Trustpilot isn't trustworthy for consumers, it's for companies to buy Trustpilot plans in order to control their reviews. EDreams is not a company it's a scam but after writing my review to warn others about their scam, Trustpilot sent me an email representing eDreams questioning the validity of my review. Now I know: Trustpilot is no different than Yelp (who also solicits business to pay to remove bad reviews and stop hiding good ones.)

Tip for consumers:
Trustpilot presents itself as an object platform for consumer reviews. But its business offers priced plans for businesses as a means of controlling reviews. Neither objective nor trustworthy.

They force you to pay them in order to promote the reviews left about your business anywhere else on the web including on your own website. They also enforce a strict set of rules on how they must be displayed or it violates their terms etc etc. They want an atrocious amount of money for simply licensing reviews, well over $1K per year for next to no features or service. Very dissatisfied. Not to mention they want to increase the price for you the following year and give you the same amount of features. I've pulled resources from this platform and am focusing on capterra and G2 instead.

Trustpilot was a Danish site in the beginning. It worked as it should. They published reviews. Over the years Trustpilot started deleting review due to business complains. Now the are terrible deleting profiles. They just call it spam when the content do not fit. Trustpilot isn't any longer what it was, why the rhetoric "trust" just don't apply anymore. 1 star for a scam buisness in my opinion. Complain trustpilot, you just got a mild version of my opinion of you.

As a customer, I expect a certain level of sincerity and professionalism from companies, especially those that promote genuine customer experiences. Unfortunately, my interactions with this company have been utterly disappointing, characterized by a lack of real communication and a failure to adhere to their own stated guidelines.

I approached the company with a serious concern that directly contradicted their community guidelines. Rather than receiving a thoughtful response, I was met with robotic, automated replies. These messages, which were ostensibly translated into Danish, failed to address the specific issues I raised. It's perplexing and frustrating to receive a response in a language that suggests no genuine effort to understand my initial communication.

Furthermore, the company's reliance on automated responses underlines a significant gap between their professed values and actual practices. It's disheartening to see a company talk about authenticity and customer engagement, only to hide behind generic, automated messages that offer no real solutions or acknowledgments of the problem.

The irony is that their replies often reference their guidelines and rules, which, from my experience, they don't seem to follow themselves. This contradiction not only undermines their credibility but also highlights a worrying lack of accountability.

For a company that is part of a platform like Trustpilot, which is designed to foster transparency and honest feedback, this behavior is particularly concerning. It's essential for such platforms to represent companies that genuinely interact and engage with their customers. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience.

In conclusion, I am left with a sense of profound disappointment and frustration. The service I received was far from the sincere, problem-solving approach I expected. If the company is genuinely interested in improving and upholding its standards, I urge them to reevaluate their customer interaction strategies and start practicing what they preach. Until then, I can only advise others to approach this company with caution.

Often, I've had experiences where I left a 1-star review for a certain company, and Trustpilot would take it down because the company I left a bad review for asked them to do so. What's the point of leaving a 1-star review if any company can just come to them and say it's not legit, and they'll take it down? I'd say look for alternatives; you won't get a real picture of companies if their reviews can be rigged as they please.

Thanks.

They deleted all my reviews, positive and negative, after leaving a bad one about a big phone company. To be more precise, they banned my account deleting all the reviews in it. They didn't even bother telling me, I found out myself months later.
Is this an acceptable behavior from a company that blathers on about ethics?
Not at all in my opinion.

Extremely disappointed with Trustpilot for allowing fraudulent companies to prey on innocent consumers. I paid for a service that was never delivered, and when I tried to leave an honest review on Trustpilot, it was removed without explanation. It's clear that Trustpilot cares more about protecting its bottom line than protecting consumers from scams. I will never trust this website again, and I urge others to beware of its deceptive practices. Trustpilot is a sham that prioritizes profit over people. Shame on them

I've been posting reviews on Trustpilot for a while. However, they've recently begun questioning some of my negative reviews. Having to go through multiple emails questioning my integrity.
This has now left me wondering about Trustpilot in general, and as a result, I simply no longer trust them or their independence and will look for another platform.

I left a review about my car insurance being put up by £350 just for moving from a high crime city to a country village by 1st central insurance. Trustpilot demanded photographic evidence "receipts showing my personal information" to prove i was talking about an actual event and not just giving my opinion! I told them to delete my trustpilot account as i would never use their website again. There is no one more enslaved than a man who believes he is free. It seems trustpilot cannot handle free speech and cannot be trusted

Trustpilot scrubbed my review from eyes of internet readers. I a person of colour no less. Review about contabo a german hosting company. I provided supporting documentation to bolster credibility of my review of contabo. Review to date they not reinstated, and they ceased contact with me. Trustpilot ceo was contacted by I, and shown stuff and shows as CEO read my email. Abundantly clear to me, Trustpilot paid by the germans to remove my review, if not so, then contabo review shouldn't be off their site!

I recently had an experience with Trustpilot that I feel compelled to share, as I believe transparency is crucial what they preach about when it comes to online review platforms. My main concern revolves around what seems to be a shadowbanning practice, which I find quite unsettling and disgusting.

It appears that Trustpilot may be implementing shadowbanning as a method to control the visibility of certain reviews. Shadowbanning, for those unfamiliar, is a technique where content is hidden from users without notifying the poster. This raises significant ethical questions about the platform's commitment to fostering genuine and unbiased reviews. We tested this in several ways and it indeed appears that certain reviews disappear like this.

While I understand the need for moderation and ensuring the quality of content, shadowbanning undermines the very essence of open and honest feedback. Users should be informed if their reviews are being suppressed, allowing for transparency and an opportunity to address any potential issues.

Trustpilot should reconsider the use of such practices and adopt a more transparent and ethical approach to content moderation. Users deserve a platform that values their opinions and ensures a fair and open environment for sharing feedback.

Tip for consumers:
Trustpilot removes your visibility of your reviews (shadowban) and there is nobody or nothing that will tell ya about this.

Only positive reviews are accepted; the negative ones are removed without an explanation or asking you for a proof. Emails are generic and have nothing to do with your email to them. Definitely I can not trust it for reviews. Likely the companies pay them to keep only positive reviews.

I left a genuine poor review regarding a company, the company claimed it wasn't genuine - i submitted emails and letters confirming it was genuine - the review stayed - 4 months later same request from Trust pilot - submitted the documents again.
Fast forward to to the seam email - they are determined to remove the negative review despite me proving its genuine twice!
They are a total sham - I used to trust them but not any more

There's no Trust in Trustpilot

In the high-octane world of business and personal development, where integrity and transparency are as vital as the air we breathe, my recent encounter with Trustpilot left a sour taste that no amount of sugar coating can sweeten. Picture this: I engaged in a genuine transaction with SuccessResources, investing not just my money but my faith in their 3Day seminar in Amsterdam, and then I shared my authentic experience on Trustpilot.

What happens next? Trustpilot slaps my company with a label of, pay attention - Selling fake reviews -, a claim as baseless as accusing a bird of talking!

We are a registered Educational Institute in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, nothing to do with selling fake reviews.

Despite arming myself with indisputable proof of my participation (yes, an invoice that's as real as the ground you walk on), Trustpilot stood unmoved, as if my genuine attempt at clarity was invisible to them.

Not one to retreat without a fight, I aimed another arrow of truth by reviewing Trustpilot itself, sharing my experience. The irony? This review was flagged as fake.

Despite presenting a fortress of evidence, including screenshots and case numbers (Ticket number: ******* is one of them) my truth was dismissed, tossed aside like yesterday's news.

This ordeal wasn't just an eye-opener but a clear call to all seekers of genuine feedback platforms: Trustpilot, in its current state, seems more like a court of kangaroos, where evidence leaps through hoops only to be dismissed into the void!

Everyone should question to seek transparency, and to demand a platform where our voices, backed by solid proof, are respected and acknowledged. Trustpilot, in this instance, failed to measure up to these standards, leaving a trail of questions about its commitment to genuine, unadulterated feedback..

Having used Trustpilot, for a while now, to make fair reviews, I never thought I would have to do a review of this site myself. One day they sent me an email stating my account was suspended and all my reviews, I had done of various companies over the years, have been removed. They 'believe' I am paid to review. This was what they stated in the email and don't have any facts. Of course I appealed and they requested I send proof, of my dealing with a certain company, so I did. It is over two weeks now and they still have not gotten back to me. This is atrocious and a knee-jerk reaction from Trustpilot. Do not use Trustpilot as they will one day remove your reviews and suspend your account over arbitrary reasons.

I sued a scam recovery company based in israel (payback-ltd.com) last year and won a court order forcing them to compensate me for misrepresentation. I posted about this on trustpilot earlier this year. It has since been removed. They didn't give me any specific reason. Trustpilot has also removed some of my previous reviews on this company, yet they let suspicious looking 5 star reviews stay on their website. These 5 star reviews conveniently neglect to mention that the company recovers your money by writing complaint letters with no legal effect begging authorities and third parties to give you money. This scam recovery company is flooded with these suspicious looking 5 star reviews on trustpilot. The scam recovery company also provided me with incorrect legal advice (i double checked this with the regulators).
