The gave me an appraisal of $550, several local gun dealers had already offered me in excess of $950! Obviously the gun dealers would want to sell it at a profit so I'm sure the real value is well more than double, probably triple what ValueMyStuff appraised it at. Apparently their appraisers are not familiar with older firearms

Had two items appraised by this group. One was way higher than expected, while the other was much lower. However, their explanations were very thorough, realistic and made lots of sense.

I have an antique doll I was looking to get rid of and I found ValueMyStuff in on online search. It was super easy to upload photos and the very limited information I had and within 48 hours I got back a very detailed report on my doll's maker, history, and potential auction value. It was easy and really helpful.

Appraisal came back quickly and a pretty good description of what was. I note about the item and fair market value and why it was that value. I'd definitely use them again. Oh, and all this at a great price!

I was left 2 beautiful French chairs. But had no idea of authenticity or value. So I googled how to find value. Value My Stuff popped up. I went to site, seemed easy enough and price to value was very reasonable. I took and uploaded many pics. Within 48 hours I had a detailed appraisal and certificate. It also asked if I wanted to auction them but I didn't check that part out.
I sure would recommend Value My Stuff, who knows where else to learn the value of your stuff? I sure didn’t. And now I have an appraisal and certificate if I want to sell. I figure the $28 it cost to find my chairs were worth $2000 was worth it.

Made their easy $28 off me just to say my Rembrandt was a replica lol … Just by looking at its on metal not true and its signed by the artist which can't be replicated. Never go through this company again plus just throws info out that they have original piece in England. Well like his art didn't get to America lol

The response was quick, thorough and professional. The reviewer explained the value of the piece, as well as some of its historical significance. Will definitely use them again!
Information provided regarding my items was very helpful. In particular, I had some spoons given to me by an old aunt and I had no idea of their provenance. I was told they originated from the far east, which made a lot of sense knowing my aunt was a nurse in that region during WW2.
This is the third time I have used VMS and I would have no hesitation in using them again. The service was prompt and the information provided by them was very informative.
I suppose everyone expects a high valuation of their item, but mine was derisory. A 9ct gold wristwatch, Omega make, in excellent condition was valued at £180.
Given the current price of gold at approx £67 per gram, the scrap value is worth more than £180.

Jag är mycket tveksam kring värderingen sv boken, Det står ingenting av substans i etvärdering bortsett från att ni skriver att detta inte är första upplagan. Mycket riktigt. Boken gavs först ut i Berlin i en tysk översättning. Detta är den första franska upplagan. Då författaren vid denna tidpunkten själv var bosatt i Frankrike borde detta vara av betydelse. Det är också en av de mest kontroversiella böcker som författaren skrev. Först svenska upplagan kom först 1920. Det är en ikoniskt bok i svensk litteraturhistoria. Den kanske inte har större ekonomiskt värde men jag hade gärna sett lite mer substans i er värdering. Till exempel jämförelser med auktions- och marknadspriser. När har den sålts och till vilket pris. Jag har själv inte lyckats några böcker av denna utgåva som är till salu. Andra Strindberg säljs för betydligt högra pris än er värdering.
Sammantaget är jag starkt kritisk till värderingen och kommer inte att vända mig till er igen. För mig är det ingen katastrof om boken har ett lågt värde. Det känns bara inte som ni tagit ert an uppgiften seriöst.

For $28 I got a value. That's it: no evidence there was any real work done, nothing to give to, say, an insurance company, no discussion of how they came to their conclusion, no comparables, nothing. The "certificate" you get is 6 pages of reminders of how you may not use or rely on it. Essentially 6 pages of how $28 gets you what you pay for.
For $28 you get some curiosity satisfied and can decide whether it might be worth spending $500-$1000 elsewhere for a real appraisal. For that purpose alone, I think this was an interesting value.
You gotta give us SOMETHING to show that at least your tried! Was it an AI search? A quick check to see if similar things are up for auction? A brief review by someone familiar with the genre? Sure, tell us we can't rely on it, but as it is now it looks like $28 gets you a picture of your object (that I gave you) in a pdf with a random number generated on it.
I've had 5 or so appraisals and felt uneasy with the values I received. So I sent in a known artist signed painting to see what they did. It came back with a couple of hundred dollars value and said it was an unknown artist. I sent back a picture of my painting along with a sold painting on Invaluable showing the same artist signature that sold at auction for $12,000. No response yet, but these people don't know what they are doing. I would NOT recommend using this service for a true appraisal of your items.

After seeking multiple appraisal requests through this portal, I find that some are rather informative, while others don't tell me any more than I already found online. There is no consistent format in reporting among respondents. When seeking information about antiques, I am particularly interested in knowing origin, estimate age, and value.
Recommend for fast insight, although subject to degree of valued information.
