Love the look, the sound and the price. What more can I say. Couldn't even throw away the box it came in such a cool look so framed part of it and it proudly hangs in my living room

After many years of having put the guitar down, I decided the time had come to pick it back up again.
So after much research, I chose
The Zager Easy Play.
What an amazing choice. It is so beautiful in it's look and sound. I could have chosen any brand, style, etc. But the design really does make it Easy To Play.
Now, I cannot wait to knock the rust off & get back to being a guitar player.

After experiencing the personal attention to my questions, before buying, I am now moved by the integrity of this solid built guitar. The action is better than my Alvarez guitars. I find more comfort in forming chords with less fret buzz and/or finger crowding. It feels a tad different, but I attribute that to years of using other guitars, often with their challenges. String height adjustment is possible, the craftmanship is top notch, having received improved bracing, as Denny Zager noted. The sound w/out amplification is deep & warm. All in all, I consider this my last 'main' guitar, and it has so far proven itself!

This is by far one of the best guitars I've ever owned. I have a 1965 Martin D-18, a 1973 Taylor 618 and now an absolutely stunning Johnny Cash 800 Series Zager. It plays amazing, the craftsmanship is impeccable, and it sound ( in my opinion) better that my two iconic guitars. It sounds bright, big, warm and full... You will LOVE This instrument. If you're contemplating don't. I've been playing guitar now for over 50 years and you will not be disappointed!

I was lucky to find a used ZAD900CE Tobacco Sunburst in "mint" condition and I am stunned with the sound, playability and looks of this guitar. First, it looks like a $5000 guitar with the abalone inserts, maple binding, Grover tuners, Aura Pro pickup and absolutely beautiful finish. Second, everything they claim about being easy to play is true! This is the best guitar ever and I have owned Takamine, Martin, Taylor and Fender acoustics over the years. My arthritis can flare up at times but this guitar is so easy to play that I can sit for hours now. Finally, I can't say enough about the Aura pickup. It is the best pickup I've ever played with on any guitar. It is easy to download sound images from the Fishman website and it sounds fantastic plugged in to my sound system. I don't even need an acoustic amp any longer as I now go directly through the mixer and it sounds great. Do yourself a favor and try one of these guitars. Denny Zager is building some of the finest acoustic guitars available today at reasonable prices. Once you put one over your shoulder you will see what I'm talking about. I bought the ZAD80CE "AURA" Black Lacquer Special Edition Solid Cedar/Rosewood Acoustic Electric Pro Series. When it arrived I had a house full of family. Well that didn't stop me from breaking open the box. After getting the guitar out everyone was amazed by two things: how beautiful the guitar was and what a great sound it had. They also like the sturdy case it came in. Oops that's three. Well needless to say I love it!

I would recommend Zager guitars to anyone interested in purchasing a sound, quality constructed guitar.
I purchased the parlor model and am very pleased with the sound and easy playability.

Zager guitars are for real! They truly play like butter and sound amazing! I'm 65 five years old been playing off and on most of my life, mostly on these days and my ZAD50 sounds as good as anything I've heard. I took a chance on them a couple of years ago with one of Zager's parlor guitars, starter models. I was so impressed with it I'm back again, and really happy I did! I've had a ZAD80CE for several years that I purchased directly from Zager. The pickup was giving me an issue when volume was adjusted. Contacted Zager and without the need to jump thru hoops and go round and round they immediately responded and sent me a new Fishman pickup. Guitar sounds great once again. Absolutely floored! The quality of construction, beautiful woodwork, and ease in playability are amazing! It's so easy to play I have to actually adjust the way I play since my other guitars require much more pressure and have less "finger room"! I love it! Needless to say, I am so happy with my new ZAD50CE Acoustic Electric Vintage Sunburst Zager guitar. Beside the beautiful quality and construction, I am amazed with the clean and crisp tone it gives. Zager Guitars number one goal, in my experience, is to make sure the customer is happy! The Guitars are as advertised. They play as smooth as silk or as some might say, like butter. The real test was after playing for 3 hours at night and then the next morning playing again for a while and no finger soreness. No buzz in the strings, barre chords are easy to hold and everyone wants to try that new guitar. Great job Zagers!

My ZAD 20e arrived about a month ago. Although the action was too high, I could tell it is a quality instrument. I decided to loosen the strings and let the guitar breath for awhile.
Today I adjusted the action, and it's very close to perfect. Plus it sounds incredible, very resonate.
It plays and sounds better than all my others including Gibsons, Sigma, Epiphone, and several other vintage ones. She, s a keeper and I would strongly recommend Zager guitars!

I've only just bought this guitar, used, from a music shop in Sheffield, England. Chords all up and down the neck ring out like a bell. It's sustain seems to go on forever. I own a few acoustic guitars, including a Martin D28. I intend getting shut of most, but keep the Martin and this one. I must say that it's the best sounding and the playability beats all my other guitars.
I am so glad that I have found this guitar. Also, I have been in touch with Zager and the response time is excellent.

I ordered a Parlor E model as a comfortable option to play at home and write on. For the price, this is an incredible guitar- I have a similarly sized model from a competitor and the Zager has a deeper, more resonant sound. Now, this IS a parlor guitar, so I'm not expecting it to be the equal of my full size acoustics, but it plays beautifully (came set up perfectly) and looks gorgeous in the gloss finish over mahogany. The included case includes a hygrometer to keep an eye on the guitar's health, and (although they haven't arrived yet) there were a bunch of extras included with the purchase. The guitar arrived safely packaged, in a timely fashion. With free return shipping - who else does that?! - I absolutely encourage you to give Zager a try next time you're looking for an acoustic. Hoping to get a larger one down the road as well, possibly the cedar topped model OM size.

Due to left hand surgery, I could not play my '`76 Guild D25. I thought I would give Zager Guitars a try. Having received my ZAD 50 CE earlier than anticipated, I am totally gassed. Received today and so totally pleased by quality, sound and playability of guitar. Amazing instrument to help doctors, lawyers and Ibankers to sound somewhat talented.

Playing like I did a long time ago before surgery; thanks. Truly pleased.

After waiting a while I finally received my Zager 50CE Cutaway guitar. If I was upset about the wait it subsided quickly after seeing this beautiful piece of work. Sound is incredible and plays easier for me which was what attracted me to spend what I would never have spent. I'm excited to play again and have started taking guitar lessons online to learn to really make music instead of just playing the same old chords again. Thank you Zager family for renewing my love for playing guitar again!

I received my Zager 80CE in late May and it is just an incredible instrument. Simply just can't put it down. I own Taylor's, Martin's, and even an old favorite, a classic vintage 1970's rosewood Alvarez, but this guitar has instantly become my favorite. Great sound (getting better every day), playability is off the charts, and it's quality is exceptional. My only dilemma is whether to keep it in my summer home or send it south with me for the winter? I have a birthday coming up …. Maybe buy another to have one at both places could be a workable solution.

Just received my Zager ZAD50CE African Mahogany model and it is 100% flawless! I'm 65 and the fingers are starting to become arthritic and I was looking for an easier guitar to play. I was not disappointed with the promises made about this easy play guitar, especially after lowering the string height. It took a few months to arrive but when the case was opened, all was forgiven! All of the extras, tuners, capo, picks, t shirt and free online lessons took it over the top! In the first 24 hours I have gotten 2 offers to buy it from me- no thank you!

I started playing two years ago. Wasn't sure if I would stick with it so bought a low-end Martin. Now realizing I want to stick with it did some internet research for other options. Found this small company in Nebraska that seemed to offer exactly what I wanted - an excellent acoustic at a price that doesn't make me choke! I received the guitar last week.
Outstanding craftsmanship. The guitar looks fantastic and plays even better. Don't expect I'd need another one anytime soon but if I ever do it'll be another Zager. First-rate customer service to boot. Highly recommended.

Amazing quality. I bought the OM acoustic for my wife's 15th anniversary and it plays really well. The craftsmanship is superb and customer service great. Try to email the owner of Martin, Gibson, or Fender, at Zaeger you will get a personal response. It's more than just a high end guitar that will be played, it's the long term relationship built!
